Hi guys, I'm having a really strange, annoying and bothersome bug: after using my ROM (Build 23554 with gwes.exe from 23551) for a few minutes it stucks completey at last used windows and never switches back to the Homescreen! When this happens, my device suspends itself and when I want bing it back from standby it switches itself again into standby! The only solution for this is to remove the battery and put it back again!
Where's my mistake?
BTW:
Using OEMXipKernel, OEMDrivers, OEMDriversHigh and os.nb.payload from TMO US 2.10 ROM with HTC GER 1.66 ROM, if it's important to know!
Dont replace gwes.exe maybe!

ROM Guides:
- Your Polaris must be HardSPL before up ROM.
- This ROM just has Operating System only, no Radio.
- Download and extract with the password above. Connecting Polaris with PC through USB.
- Running file ROMUpdateUtility.exe and following step by step on the windows => Polaris run BootLoader state and loading 100% => Polaris auto reset and you have new ROM.

After i flashed your rom. i can't do anything on my microSD.
It was freeze. and it's still freeze when i flashed WM61 rom back.
so i flashed your rom back and check.
i found "Rom is default enable encrypt card" then i turn it off.
And flash to WM61... My card don't freeze.
i think it's stupid idea to enable encrypt is default
I flashed this rom and twice the device freeze, not related to memory card, both times whed the backlight was off due to no activity.
The device backlight are off, and there is no possibility to turn on the device, only soft reset.
Any one had this problem ?
Just flashed it, looks cool but none of my customs settings are sticking. As an example, just tried turning card encryption off but it always turns itself on again. Any ideas?
this build works fine for me. no freezes so far! ... (had them with 23004 though) ... referring to the encryption thing. i've unchecked the button too and it turned back on again... but once unchecked, the card can be read by another rom without problems (tried this on my second device, artemis, with 6.1 rom). i really like this build so far. and i'm very happy with the combination of manila 2d and win 6.5!

Yup, I've just put my miniSD on a card reader, connected to the computer and managed to get all the files from it without a hitch, so I'll put it down to a bug in the user interface... would be nice if it could be solved though just in case.

I liked more 23004, I miss things missing from old build.
Had no problems with old one...
My phone freezes during night time. Not sure when but when I wake up, phone is frozen. This same thing happened on last build when you had SU2P or whatever that locking program is called.
Radio and Hardspl was upgraded to recommended versions.
I wonder if I flashed the rom to Stock first like the Kaiser then yours there maybe less problems? I had to do this on my kaiser which I read when flashing one of the roms there..

Add this line to the registry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Filters\E NCFilt]

And do a soft reset...

Thanks, but I'm also experiencing the random freezes so I guess it's time to downgrade until this rom is a bit more stable... shame, because it was really growing on me!
Ok here's an update. I didn't lock the phone ( Start >> Lock ) and it didn't freeze on me last night. Still going this morning. But when I plugged it to my computer, it froze. Never done this.. maybe it was some random thing but the night freezing is fixed as long as I don't lock it!

well, now the freezings starts again... three days without problem and than.. every two hours or something... locked or unlocked.. awaiting now pcarvalho's new rom!!

ROM is great except for the aforementioned bugs...
when screen turns off sometimes it doesnt come back on, no matter which buttons you press... you HAVE to soft reset
encryption turns itself back on...
also,
sometimes when i receive notification for texts, i click on view, and then read the text fine, but when i hit the X button to get out of the text and try to go back to home screen it freezes and needs to be soft reset.

i have a spv m2000 and have just upgraded it to htc blueangel wm6.1 wwe
and have a few problems
1. as soon as the phone opens i says the file 'screentotate' cannot be opened
then x-button cannot be opened
2.my homepage is blank just got the start bar at the topand the keybord at the bottom
3.i cant open contacts, i click on it and it just opens and shuts down again
4. in the menu all my stuff has doubled and some have trippled and are un usable
before i put htc blueangel wm6.1 wwe i put WM6.5 Build 23004 WWE R7.1 and found that the contacts did not work so i thought it was just a bad os. so i put on htc blueangel wm6.1 wwe and it has just made it worse.
is there any way i can wipe it completey clean and start again

I've decided to switch my ROMs back to 1.72 from 2.10 as I'm fed up with terrible phone call quality.
Ive swapped over from 1.72 to my 2.10 kitchen OEMDrivers, OEMDriversHigh and OEMMisc folders in OEM and carried over rgu entries from OEM Drivers. Also OEMXIPKernel has been copied from 1.72 to my 2.10 base.
This wors great but when I use 2.09.51 radio it works ok on first boot. But if I soft reset the phone hangs on the HTC boot screen and I need to hard reset.
Does anyone know what is stopping the 2.09 radio from working on soft reboot?

When I change a core base I always copy the os.nb.payload, romhdr.bin, xip.bin as well as the OEMXIPKerenl from the base I want to use. When copying the OEM folders copy the entire folders QEMDrivers, OEMDriversJigh, OEMMisc.
This has always worked for me. It may not all be necessary but it works.
I thing that if you use ROM OS 2.07... you must use Radio 2.07 0r 2.08 that avoid conflict between Radio&OS.

Yes but he says he is using 1.72 which is not a TMOUS so any Radio with a 2.xx.51.xx.xx should work.
Maybe im stating the obvious, but did you try including the 2.09 rilphone.dll?

Hmmm...thanks for the reply. I never thought about those other 3 files in the XIP...I'll try copying them over too.

I didn't think this would be necessary for the 2.09 radio to work.
Well that worked...must have been those other 3 XIP files I didn't copy over.

I have made a rom using new ervious visual bepe's kitchen.
i dumped two stock roms
1:- 1.66 stock
2:- 1.72 t-mobile stock
i simply replaced some folders from 1.66 stock into 1.72 stock which were operator package and operater pt.
and i converted a manila document tab from cab into EXT and copied into the dumped EXT. whose Path is like this ( C:/ dump/ext/leo/21869/Leo_external_packages)
and then i opened the kitchen and clicked on Button " REAL WM 6.5 AKU and changed its pagepool to 18mb and and changed the value of modules to 1000 in other options.
clicked on create rom and rom created succesfully without any error..
I flashed the rom into my hd2. it completed with no error and i performed several times hard reset also.
Now when i am trying to start the hd2 it stucks on welcome screen setup. no hardware buttons working.
what i have done wrong????

By 1.72 Tmobile ROM I assume a NON USA Tmobile ROM. If that's the case then it should work fine.. however if you cooked up a Tmobile US ROM, your phone will not boot unless you also flash a TMO US radio. Try a different radio and see if your ROM boots.

i think he means the european tmobile uk rom..
this is a common problem..:
you have to change ntconfig.dll (from notification enhancement) from module to file.

Ah! Didn't think of that... He wasnt really clear what the "welcome" screen means, I assumed that would have been the initial splash screen.
But if the ROM boots past the 'red letters" then yeah, recmodding the notification manager DLLs will fix that

rom which i am using is a branded rom from t mobile uk.. and have mix some content of generic 1.66 rom with this t mobile rom which i already mentioned above..

Look for an exe called recmod.exe or reversemode.exe. For now. to see if this is your problem just exclude the notification manager form you rom
I have build a custom hd2 rom with oskitchen and xip/sys 28244.
It's working very well.
Now I have added some ext packages found here that seems to be useful. And now the new rom has the following issue: After leo goes to standby by itsself or by pressing the off key and some time later it will not wake up. Buttons are lightened but screen stays black. I have to put the battery out or to reset. Than rom is working again until next standby.
It happens only, if device is in standby for some time. If you press off and then wake up device immediately, all is working well.
Any idea, if this can be result of some added package or some component of the xip/sys build?
Have now found out something:
If I remove the following ext packages from my built rom, the rom works without freezing after going to standby:
HTC Tweaks
AMEBA
Opera Mini 5.1
Google Maps 4.1.1
But If I install those apps as cabs, the rom is working well after installation.
Can it be that they conflict with some built-in package of leo which causes the freezing issue, which is not there if installing the packages?
thunder141, not sure what you mean by HTC Tweaks but if you increased system cache (as it proposed to do somewhere in Leo related threads) to absolutely huge unacceptable meaning - your phone just tries to cache memory...
Get rid of that tweak, or check your Storage Card (maybe format will help) - possibly the system is trying to cache to it and it's fragmented or just too slow....
i mean the app hd2 tweak with standard configuration converted to an ext from the cab

Its not a spelling problem but the fact that those tweaks are made for HTC HD not HD2.
I suggest you to dont use it, simple solution.

No, at his page there are hd tweak for other device and hd2 tweak for hd2 (leo). (http://www.montecristoff.com/hd2tweak.htm)
But, as I said, its not only this ext pkg but the others mentioned make my device freeze, too. And if used by cab install, not. And I do not understand the difference for those apps, if they worked when not cooked in.
I decided to put them in my uc_net folder for now and left them out of my rom, so my device won't freeze
before my hd2 got bricked due to my stupidity, i was trying to find solution to freezing issues.
i found out that if cad.dll and wavedev.dll are excluded, no death occurs after sleep. (of course, these dlls are vital for sound, so we cannot exclude them).
so my suggestion would be to first exclude these 2 dlls and include your packages to see if this clash is causing problem and then find compatible version of your packages with these 2 dlls or find compatible dll.
personally, i think these 2 dll have some odd bug with certain versions of windows system.
