Micro SDHC 8GB card - Touch Diamond2, Pure General

Hello,
I'm having issues with my Micro SDHC 8GB card (class 6). Whenever I connect the MicroSD card to my diamond2 phone, it works for a while and then it disconnects (the phone does not detect that there is a microSD card connected). To get my phone to detect the card, I either manually remove the card from the phone and insert it back in, and if that doesn't work, I soft reset.
I don't think its because of the card since it works flawlessly on my computer and I don't think its from the ROM, since before updating to Dutty ROMS, I used to get the same issue.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Regards

Your card is likely going bad. The phone will lose it first then the PC.
You may want to back it up and reformat it.
I just lost my SanDisk 16gb after multiple times of reformatting it and eventually is would crash again. No physical damage to the card. Just couldn't take the rewriting and deletions....

Connection mode issue
When you connect your USB. You have 3 options. Active sync, internet sharing or Disk drive. I think your's might be in the disk drive mode. So it doesnt read in your windows as HTC Hero drive. But check out if there is another extra drive that shows on your My Computer. If it is so, select the option Active sync and you can see your Micro SD card there.
Thanks,
Raj

Mini SD formatted FAT, doesn't work on 8125

When I bought my first MiniSD, I stuck it in the phone first. It worked great. I noticed however, that it took a long time to transfer large data files. Then I used the adapter to see if I could transfer the information from my laptop directly and it asked to format the card. So I left it alone and purchased the same brand and model of MiniSD (Adata Speedy 2GB MiniSD). I have read on this forum that I can format it to FAT16 and not FAT32. I used my computer to format it to FAT (I'm guessing it is FAT16). The formatting worked and I was able to transfer data to the card from the laptop. However, the phone will not recognize the card! Argh.
Does anyone know what went wrong? Are we doomed to use only the phone and Active Sync to transfer data? What can I do to unformat my MiniSD? Do I have to return it?
I found my answer from another forum. For those who run into the same problem:
Insert your card into your card reader. Right click "My Computer" and click on "Manage". Then left click "Disk Management", find your card and delete the partition. At this point, you can then stick the card into the phone and it will ask if you would like to format the card. Even though the computer will not recognize the card, your phone will.
Has anyone got their card recognized by both the computer and the phone? I'm going to try WM5Storage, but I'd rather use the adapter and my laptop. Just wondering.

Hermes 8525 not detecting storage card

I have a 2gb storage card that use to work before I bricked my phone. So, I sent it to Cingular for them to fix it and they did. But now I am trying to install back the files I had on my 2gb storage card and its not showing up on the phone. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.
i would try another sdcard
try the sdcard in a sdcardreader
if both resulted in failure i would say that
they by fixing 1 thing broke another
I think they replaced the motherboard. I dont know if they gave me a defective one.
i am having the same problem...Ive had my storage card for quite a while now and had 1g of memory used up and now all of a sudden none of my music or photos that are on the card are being shown. It still detects my storage card and that the space is used but i cant find the files anywhere.

Removing and re-inserting the card as well as performing a soft reset can make vanished files re-appear. However it depends whether there is corruption on the card.
Does the card work using a card reader on the PC?
If it does and you have tried the above, then I would copy everything from the card to the PC, reformat the card and then put everything back again. If the PC does not see all the files either then you may, if it's worth it, try some software to recover files from the corrupted card. (This os often not 100% successful, but worth a try of there is something vital on there).

I have 3 8525's that are not detecting the 2G memory card when it is inserted. I have to perform a soft-reset in order for the device to recognize it. I now the cards are good because they work in my Axim.
I have 4 2G memory cards doing this which are Kingston & Sandisk. Two of the SanDisk cards are brand new.
Are there any known issues?
I have this problem as well. I'm not sure what the source is.
I cannot even get it to work with a soft reset though.
The card I have is a 1Gb Kingston, and it definitely works because I tested it on my computer.
I guess I'll Just call Cingular when I have a bigger problem at hand.
2gb sandisk card on 8525
I used to have this proem on a brand new card. I would put it in and nothing would happen. But insert in my PC, and it works. What I did was format it to fat32 (from the factory installed FAT) put it in the 8525 and it showed up. Just to test again, tried formatting back to FAT and didn't work again. back to FAT32 and no more probs. Hope it helps for you guys.

Dead MicroSD

Hello
My Touch HD can't read microSD cards anymore. One day I noticed that Storage card is missing from File Explorer. I put that card (an 8 Gb SanDisk SDHC) into my laptop's card reader and all I found out is that the card has bad sectors that cannot be recovered. So I bought another 8 Gb microSD which works OK with my card reader and my Polaris but the HD doesn't read it. When I connect the HD to my laptop I get the USB2PC popup where I have de Disk Drive option and if I select it nothing happends. What could be wrong?
ROM: 1.56.479.0
Radio: 1.13.25.24
SPL: 1.54 SSPL
I got mine to work by using
http://www.cnetx.com/format/download.asp
No problems since.

@Andrew
Nope... still nothing...
Ok check the pc to usb.
Check on the HD Start/Settings/Connections/USB to PC
UNCHECK Enable faster data sync
Boot your pc and HD then try the USB connection again.

Andrew
I already did that and nothing happened...
Ok can you connect with Activesync to the Hd storage ?
@bigdish
I can connect ActiveSync to the internal storage only. The computer cannot read the microSD card unless i plug it in the card reader via an adapter. Nor the disk utility tools can't read the card through the usb cable connection, no mather which type of connection I choose in the USB2PC popup.
Mmm
My problem was different to yours - I cound see the card in the HD but the file info was garbage - my pc cardreader could not read it so thats why I suggested flash format which cured my problem.
Have you tried soft reset on the HD without the card then insert it again ?
@bigdish
Even hard-reset it with the card taken out. I cannot understand what the problem might me and I am thinking about sending it to service. I am starting to think that this ain't a software problem

[Q] SDHC card won't appear on my computer

My Trophy 7 stopped working in Zune a little while back - it just won't install as a recognised device on the computer.
So I decided to get a new phone but I want to keep my files from the Trophy, so I bought an SDHC card reader and took the card out of the phone only to find when I plug it in the SDHC card reader it won't appear on my computer.
The card reader lights up to say there's a card there - just my computer doesn't like it.
The card reader picks up a standard 2GB SD card and it's definitely an SDHC card reader as I checked the packing (providing the packaging isn't lying).
I'd really like to get my files off the card. As far as I'm aware you can't access the files directly when the SDHC card is in the phone, but seeing as it's now in an adapter I don't see why it won't appear on my computer.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can access these files?
P.S. I've tried EaseUS to see if that picks it up too.. It doesn't

You cannot pull files off of the card in this manner. Windows Phone uses a proprietary file system that Windows cannot access. I suggest replacing the card into your Trophy for now, and we can try troubleshooting the Zune connection. I'm assuming the Trophy was otherwise working correctly.
It is most likely your computer that is at fault for it not being recognized in Zune. After reinstalling the card into the Trophy, make sure the phone boots properly. Connect it to your PC and open device manager, and see if the phone is appearing at all, and whether or not it is installing a driver for it. Also, was your Trophy running a custom rom, or was it stock?
If all else fails and we can't get Zune running, you can put the phone on wifi and upload pictures and some files to SkyDrive.

SD card gets rejected and unuseable

Hello,
Sorry for my bad English
I've had a 16Gb SD card installed in my moto G4 plus as internal memory and after months of useage, all of a sudden the phone said 'replace SD card' while it was still in. So I pulled him out en tried to reinstal it, but that didn't work.
I've tried to reset my SD card by plug him into my laptop, but he doesn't get recognised.
So I can throw away my SD card ...
Does anybody know what the problem is, because this is second time I have this problem.
You'll probably have an option to format your SD card in Settings. Try that. That might fix this issue.
If your laptop isn't reading it, try a card reader, a different USB cable, or a different laptop altogether.

I tried to reset my SD with the reset function in Settings, but my phone doesn't even recognise my SD anymore.
I've tried 2 laptops, 2 card readers and 3 USB cables.
I think my SD crashed or something. But this is the second time this happened with 2 different SD cards.
