Dual Shock 3 Controller Charger - Touch Pro, Fuze Accessories

If you find one of these at your local Game/Electronics Store, grab it.
It's a simple converter brick that plugs into a wall socket through a cord on one end and has two USB ports on the other for charging PS3 controllers. I bought one for my PS3, but then quickly snagged another that I carry with me to charge my Fuze and PSP.
For $20 USD, you can't do much better.
One odd note: It seems to register as a PC when you plug in, as it brings up the 'Sync' menu rather than just quietly charging. A Minor annoyance considering the massive convenience. (I keep my 'official' charger at home and use this deal for travel.)

That's not a bad idea.
Recently I got a Dell E6400 from work - there's an option in the bios to allow one usb port to provide power even if the device is "off" - I've been using that option so I don't have to lug an additional power cord; hopefully more laptop manufacturers do this

Uhm....
Where is this a bargain, either on cash or size?
eBay: random tiny cheapo USB wall adapter
So just counting USB ports, for 20 bucks you can do about 10 times better than this

Nice.
I've purchased cheapo USB Wall Chargers before though, and they're frequently either badly constructed or not strong enough to keep a device charging while it's in use.

[Q] car charger

hi, just got x10 but i have for it 2 car chargers and both not working, does anyone know do i have to change some settings in phone? cheers for any help
Is your car lighter ok?
i have a similar problem,.... i have a USB cigarette lighter adapter that i used on my previews phone,....
it doesnt work when i try to charge my X10,... (im using the original SE data cable,....)
A lot of the standard car chargers won't work for X10 for some reason.. they must be wired slightly differently.. you need to order one which is X10 compatible. I had a Jabra adapter which I tried with my USB cable and it didn't work..
Also - This thread should be in the Accessories section. MOD - can you please move?
Thanks.
Just a note of advice here... Make sure you're using a USB POWER cable instead of a DATA cable. If you're using a cable other than the one supplied with the X10, it may not work for charging.
FYI: The Motorola microUSB chargers work perfectly fine with the X10
There is a fix for your problem in this forum. Take yourself a digital meter or something like this and check if there is resistance.
If they are not connected (I bet they aren't) just solder the two data pins in your charger together (middle pins). Then it should
work!

ya, my blackberry car charger works perfectly with the x10
I bought 2 chargers the other day. They both worked. Only paid $3.50 per charger too and got free shipping because I have amazon prime:

I'm using the Nokia charger and it's working great so far.

[Q] Chargers compatibility

I have bought a usb charger on ebay, but it doesnt work with X10, any solution? Why?

1. This belongs in the Accessories section
2. The answer to your question: because the SE charger has the pin 2 and 3 (the data pins) of the USB pinout shorted. Normal chargers does not have these shorted. Don't ask me why, it just seems stupid and proprietary to me.
Can you explain better? I cant use others chargers? I cant use others microusb cables?

You can use a charger from a blackberry 9700, for sure and the 9000 I think. The bit about pin 2 and 3 shorted is true. I have a cigarette usb charger that came with my bluetooth gps and it would not work with my Iphone/ipod nor with my X10, I shorted or joined pin 2 and 3 ( the middle 2 pins ) and now it works just fine. That unit you bought is it not for the iphone? So you can open up the charger and short out pins 2 and 3 or modify the cable. I suggest you label the cable for charge only as I think it will not allow data to flow.

Note 3 usb charging overseas?

Hi everyone I just have a quick question
Right now I'm overseas and the power voltage of this country is 220 v .
I forgot to purchase a wall adapter to charge my phone but luckily my cousins here all have note 3 's
Is it safe if I just plug my usb (that came with the phone) onto their wall chargers/aftermarket wall chargers ?
Here is a picture of my setup

This is very basic. You should always check the charger or any appliances if it has/supports 110V-240V input. Be vigilant.
All chargers have 110V-240V input range, and any usb charger can charge the phone. Check the output amps of the charger, if its lower than the stock charger then it will charge slowly, if its higher than the stock charger then it would charge fast but could damage the battery life as well. Otherwise any USB charger will works fine just after market cheap one may does short-circuit or over heat issues.
Thanks everyone

The only problem with this is that you need to have a case to hold the darn thing on. And if you want to use the USB C port then you must remove the case, then the device attached, in this case the wireless pad, and repeat the process when you want wireless charging again. I'd like to see one that just temporarily attaches to the wireless charger with a C plug easily accessible. Nonetheless, if you can deal with the gyrations you need to go thru then it's a good idea and relatively inexpensive.

Agreed it is a pain. I use this on my Pixel 2XL. I don't use the usb-c port for anything other than charging (and occasionally usb-c headphones but I mainly stick to bluetooth headphones/earbuds) and it works just fine. Yes you do need to keep a case on it which is no big deal for me because I always keep a case on my phone. If you want to use the phone sans case then you'll need to remove the wireless pad as well; no big deal really. I would LOVE it if the Pixel 4a would have the option of wireless charging. Here's hoping.

USB Port issue

Bought this phone as a secondary phone 8 month ago,,
And the USB Port has loosen up...
I bought the phone unofficially so no official service will offer service for me,
Can't I just change the USB C port to a new one?
All the available USB Logic board here are without the fast charging IC
I had this phone and swapped THREE charging boards. It keeps having the same issue and nothing will work. Tried different chargers too. I think this is just a flaw in the design of charging board. I unfortunately had to recycle the device.

The replacement charging board I received was different from the original.
And this is how I charged phone overnight for the contact with the board to keep charging the phone, otherwise it wouldn't charge at all even if the cable was jammed all the way in.

The available charging board here isn't good quality by looking,
I didn't opened the phone yet and I guess it's the USB female socket's issue, will changing this help a bit?
