I flash a wrong kernel (A Nexus 7 kernel), and my nexus4 become brick. No matter what I did, it still no response. I can't boot to fastboot, even i can't turn it on. Please help....
connect to PC, only show a QHSUSB_DLOAD in Device Manager. But still can't turn it on. Please help, anything i can do to fix it??
Read through the ENTIRE other thread you posted in, all the info is there.
No idea how you accidently flash wrong a kernel for the wrong device.
Get into bootloader mode. (can you? Google on how to do it manually)
Or
Plug the phone in via usb if you had adb used on it and type adb reboot bootloader (hence if use toolkit you won't have this set up.)

It just seems impossible on finding kernel for other phones on a nexus 4 forum.
Oh what's this? A link to a flash able zip? Let's flash it without thinking.
Think before you flash op.... And dont use toolkits.

I really dislike people recommending to send the phone back (RMA) to Google for a user's own (I'll be polite here) lack of awareness and understanding of what they are doing. This person should continue to look for solutions to get it working and if not.. well, to bad. Lesson learnt. Buy another Nexus 4.
Besides that fastboot should still be accessible. If OP can eventually get into fastboot then all will be well.
Go read read FAQ thread, will show yo proper way to get back to bootloader mood don't be lazy that won't help, agree getting to bootloader mode then fastboot proper n4 kernel.try it on other pc I'd you cannot in this pc,make sure you install the driver.

Anyways Back to topic: yatyuk your device isn't bricked it still has life. I had the exact same issue before when connecting to the PC I was also getting the "qhsusb_dload" driver alert.

Is the first step "1) Once in Fastboot mode, through Nexus 4 Toolkit I flashed the Clock Work Recovery. " ?
Now I connect my phone to PC, then Power + Vol- for ~10sec, my phone will had red led for few second and then off again.

To get into Fastboot:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So for all the people with Bricked devices all hope is not lost. Follow this procedure to get into Fastboot.
1) Press the Power button for more then 5 seconds to do a Hard Reset. This is where you screen is completely turned off.
2) Now take your LG manufactured USB connect it to the PC. Do not connect it to the phone just yet.
3) Holding the Vol Down and Power together and NOW connect your other end of the USB connector to the phone and then your phone should give you a slight vibration and you should see the Fastboot screen (Android lying on the back)
NOTE: Make sure as soon as you see then fastboot mode Let go of the Vol and Power Button right away!

Try this,
Did you ever get a Battery sign when you had it connected to the PC or AC for power?
Try this, I don't know if its gonna work or not but plug your phone in the wall receptacle for AC Charge and leave it for a while. On AC, the phone most likely, if completely dead, will stay idle but most likely jump back to Battery sign showing its charging or not.
When that happens, leave like that for a hour or two.
Let me know what happens. Good luck.

[Q] Stuck in safe mode

Hi everybody.
I don't know how it happened (I just wanted to do a reboot in the recovery mode), but now I've got the blue led when normally turn my phone on. I can't even access to the fastboot (blue led too).
The only thing I can do, is boot in the safe mode, by booting my phone (connected to the charger) after removing the battery... I tried "reboot to bootloader", without success...
I think it's because of the recovery, because I had some problems during the installation of my last ROM, a few months ago. So I'd think I must flash a new recovery.
ow can I get out???? ADB? Special "trick"? Factory reset from the ROM? Flashing a new recovery (I don't know how...)?
Thank you, Roumaru
I tried to flash a new recovery with ADB, and then reboot to the bootloader, but it didn't work.... I'm really stuck!
Try RUU method if you are able to acces bootloader mode ,or try to search the forum or look into FAQ,for the answer of your problem.

Install mumilover's Fastboot Commander. Connect it to your PC with a USB cable, turn it on, and run Fastboot Commander. It will display a bunch of information about your phone that will help us diagnose the problem.
Just cut and paste the info it gives you. If it doesn't work, just tell us what information you see on the phone's screen.
You should see something like:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A SHIP S-ON H
HBOOT-1.76.0007 (SAPP10000)
CPLD-10
RADIO-6.35.07.29

Yes, I understand that he can't get into HBOOT, FASTBOOT, or Recovery using physical buttons. But there are other possibilities we can check. I don't know his skill level, knowledge about the device, or the complete state of his device, so I'm trying to build a clearer picture.
If fastboot reports nothing, what about adb? If adb reports nothing, check device manager to see if it's even noticed by the PC.
When I said "just tell us what information you see on the screen" what I meant was "tell us what the screen is showing, even if it is nothing at all and the blue LED is on". My fault.
I'm curious about the whole "safe mode" business. Is it truly booting into safe mode, where you can see the words "safe mode" on the screen, or is it something else?

I took a look at "fastboot commander", but naturally I need to be in the fastboot to make it work, and I can't access fastboot...
I can NOT boot in HBOOT, FASTBOOT, and Recovery, but when I remove the battery, put it in the phone, plug my charger, and then press the power button, the phone boot normally, except he's in the "safe mode" (can't access some applications, no network). I can control my phone with ADB, but when I tried "adb reboot bootloader", the blue led was here again...
I also tried the RUU method, but the RUU doesn't recognize my phone.
I think it would be good if I could do a "total reset" of my phone, like flashing it or something that can reset the bootloader.
Thank you for your interest
Yeah dude there is fix for you its named JTAG Google it and you will find out what is it.
In my country its cost me 40 Euro to fix i hope in your is cheaper or even better - you can make your own

Could you try something? Make sure your phone is accessible using adb, then do this:
adb -s [serial number for phone, without brackets] reboot oem-78
The serial number can be found using "adb devices".
That should reboot you into RUU mode. If it doesn't work, safe mode should still be accessible.
Please don't post Q&A in the development section.

Hey, we're not giving up yet
You can access ADB, so it may be possible to push a recovery image onto the device and flash it.
For the original instructions, click this link and focus on Step 9.
Here's a shortened version:
Download roottools and unzip it somewhere on your PC.
With your phone in Safe Mode and connected to your PC, open a command prompt.
If you know which radio you were on (3.X or less, or 6.X), cd to that directory in roottools and push the recovery image.
Example: If you have 6.X, you would
cd c:\roottools\6.35Radio\adb push Recovery-RA-hero-v1.6.2.img /sdcard
Next:
cd to the "App" directory of roottools, then
adb push flash_image /data/local/tmp
adb shell
su
cd /data/local/tmp
chmod 777 flash_image (you might have to use /data/local/tmp/flash_image or ./flash_image)
flash_image recovery /sdcard/Recovery-RA-hero-v1.6.2.img
If you get through that with no errors, we should be good. If it throws an error at "su" then you should try using SuperOneClick to get temporary root.
If it flashes without errors, you can try "adb reboot recovery" and see what happens.
Resolved

That's great news! Everything works normally now?
I have heard that a stuck button or trackball is a possible cause. Maybe that was the problem with your phone, but it became unstuck?
Cheers!

Google Icon on bootup

Ok I just need a little help and advice so if you one of you out there in XDAland can help I’ll be truly grateful…
I’ve got the 32gb Nexus 7 which I rooted via the Wugfresh method and added I CWM for my recovery and did the OTA update to Jelly Bean 4.2.1. The last 6 months life have been peachy. Even the misses and her iDevices are jealous of my little corner of Android heaven.
So last night pick up the 7 and notice it’s running a tad sluggish and I also notice the battery is low and flashing red, so I plug in the power cable and attempted to shut it down and it just hangs… I give it 5 minutes and still not shut down so I hold power & volume down and get in to the Bootloader from here I select start and the tablet just hangs on the Google cross (red, blue, yellow, green). This now happens every time I power down even though there has been a good charge (6 hours) done. If I now go back in the Bootloader and try selecting the Recovery Mode I get the Android robot with the red warning triangle and the words “No Command” and that’s it. If I try the factory reset of power button & volume up from recovery mode I get nothing.
From the bootloader I see
Fastboot Mode
Product Name - grouper
Variant - grouper
HW version - ER3
Bootloader Version - 4.13
Baseband Version - n/a
Serial Number xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Signing - not defined yet
LOCK STATE - UNLOCKED
Can someone advise what the best thing I can do to revive the 7? I don’t mind losing the data but I’m just unsure what to do next. I’ve read a few threads but none pointed me in the direction I think I need to be in…
Thanks in advance for any help given.
You might have to use the google factory images and restore it completely to default... Sucks, but I don't know what else you could do, have you tried to fastboot flash a new recovery mode?
Here is a link to the stock google images, it will completely restore your tablet though:
... opps, looks like i don't have enough posts to post a link, just google "factory nexus images" and it is the fist one on the list sorry!
you have to use fastboot to flash them, but since you can access your bootloader, that isn't a problem. There are some directions on the page to use the images.
Hope this helped! Sorry you will probably lose everything though!
Thanks for the help but do you have a step by step guide as to what I do next? I have the image but my PC don't see the 7 anymore I can't enable debugging...

[GUIDE] Low-battery in boot-loop SOLUTIONS

When your phone is stucked in a bootloop, the only mode you can access is fastboot/bootloader mode. And made modifications in adb shell on your computer.
What most unfortunately is your phone battery drains and unable to charge in bootloop or fastboot mode.
Solutions:
Simply type "fastboot continue" command in adb shell. Your phone will automatically boot into the system normally. But when you plugged your phone as USB to the computer. It charges very slowly and eventually your phone will turn off itself before you can do anything.
So, after you typed the command in the adb shell. You should unplug your phone once your phone logo appeared on the screen and plug the charger to the wall plug. And so, you can charge your phone. LOW-BATTERY PHONE SOLVED!

Got to OnePlus support center and go in download section and download official ROM. Hold power and volume up bottons and connect it to PC. After that go in folder where adb files are located on your PC (If you don't have them, search on Google for "adb install 15 sec"). Hold left shift on your keyboard and right click your mouse in that folder on an empty space. Click something related with command window and type "fastboot devices". If you get some kind of feedback it's 2minute of work! If you don't have anything come up, try to start your device in fastboot mode again (second sentence in this post). After you got a feedback from command "fastboot devices" flash custom recovery (I suggest TWRP, Google it and download the .IMG file for your device). To flash a custom recovery type this in command line: "fastboot flash recovery IMAGE_NAME.img"
*replace IMAGE_NAME with actual image name...
After that boot in recovery by disconnecting the phone and powering off the phone. Press and hold power button and volume down buttons till blue TWRP logo appears. After that connect your device on PC and transfer your .Zip file(ROM) to internal memory of your device. You should go back to main menu of recovery and select wipe>advanced wipe, select everything BUT INTERNAL STORAGE!!!***IMPORTANT***
Then you just install ROM like you would normally do...
Press thanks it i helped! Hope I didn't missed something.

Fallow this and don't trust any guides written out of memory with likely any mistakes.. (no offense)
This guide has various approaches to recover your phone, remember to research first and don't type carelessly any adb commands, it's not enough to just tick "oem unlock" in developer options, you'd have to type command on fastboot too, to unlock the bootloader.. there are many guides and youtube tutorials on this subject, absolutely unnecessary to blindly kill it, anyways I'll never understand how you can be so reckless with your phone..

Don't!
If you get no joy from following the instructions in the link given by @Sam Nakamura, try @fareed_xtreme's Official OP2 Stock Reset to OOS 3.0.2

Aight thank you i had some suspicion it might be ...-bricked didnt know which though so thank you
If you can get in the bootloader then possibly the device is still OK. Just need to get the right ROM.
Try different TWRP versions. Sometimes, one particular version can save the world.
