Thought you guys might want to check it out. Looks like it could be fun and it has good ratings...

Sweet... thanks! Look like a great time waster.

Looks like fun. Whats interesting is the on screen game control. They seem to have excellent accuracy with it. Its also apparently open source.

Trackball controls the direction, and onscreen controls are for jumping/flying and attack. No issues at all... very accurate so far.

You can also use the phones motion sensor to move the droid around, I find it a bit less fiddly than the trackball.

omg insanely addicting

Hmm.. seems a bit half finished to me. Trackball control is really clunky but the motion sensor speeds things up.
How do you get the music on the video? The one I download has merely a couple of beeps.

Great game. Very addictive. Controls are twitchy but not terrible. I love that it's open source too. There should be some great mods to this eventually.

omgah what a cool looking game. Downloading it right now!

Check out the rest of the TATMobileUI videos on Youtube as well, very promising!!
this + g-sensor = win
I wouldn't use it on a day to day basis, but it would be soo cool to show off to friends
My poor old Hermes would probably just curl up and die if I start it tho
looks pretty cool though, looks like you need an accelerator and some nice good drivers: dont think my tilt can handle it
lol i look up at their video like the combination lock... its awesome but where do we get it
EDIT:
Code:
http://www.tat.se/
found there web
Are you saying they've got stuff to download ?
I can't find any URL....
Granted it looks cool although I would not use it day to day, it would get oh, so annoying after a while. Do you know how much time you use from one thing to the next? Just to look a phone number which you can just press say, 549 for search and dial. To have them come up, you have to slide, the swinging inertia thingies are annoying and distracting after a while, then slide a cool looking picture carousel then slide to your friend THEN dial.
Will be big with the Iphone "Ooohhh... looks shinny!" crowd though.
wrong place to post this

Own a HTC Snap?

Currently on my X1 and i am sick of it. It keeps breaking and want something simpler and with a nicer feel and the snap seems perfect but i have a few questions...
1)Can it play videos on WMP or Coreplayer if so are they smooth or what not?
2)How long does the battery last?
3)What sort of GPS programs are available like TomTom?
4)Is the camera decent and does it take the pictures fast?
5)You know there is a track ball in the middle? around it there is a circle, does that circle act as four seperate buttons (up,down, left, right) because i dont want to use the ball to navigate all the time
Thanks
That's a downgrade of a phone, so why are you switching?
X1: Too many problems, its annoying and has broken too many times - sending off to sony is so long and want a reliable phone that works - plus i want a cheaper option like this one.
Can you answer any of my Q's?

1)coreplayer works great. there is one version that works well. others dont at all. thread about that as well.
2) day and a half or 2 for battery life. decent use. activesync always on and heavy texting.
3)sygic mobile maps works well for me, there is a thread with all of them that work well in this forum
4)camera is decent if light is good. nothing to brag about but it does the job
5) the trackballl is the only way to navigate. if there is another way i would be happy to know. i personally liked the d-pad type control. but you get used to the trackball pretty quickly.

Awesome! thanks for the info!
I have tomtom installed and it works very well. PM me if you want me to direct you to it.
I´m a proud owner of a Snap shipping next week!!!

its like project natal for your evo

This looks veryy interesting
It seems un-necessary! why wave over the device, when you can just touch the screen?
Makes you wonder how fast using both cameras during awake time would drain the battery.
Just wanna say I can control my phone with my mind and freak a few people out lol
I checked it out on the marketplace and it seems like no one (of those who ranked it) didn't like it. 1 star when I looked at it earlier.

It isn't on marketplace...you were looking at a garbage app this isn't affiliated with this "eyesight".
It will be interesting to see what is implemented with it.
It would be nice to throw the Evo on a HDMI dock, load up a 720p movie and use hand-motions to pause/fast-forward/rewind/volume etc.

I gotta agree, Project Natal is changing the way you play games by not using the controller at all while this is pointless cause you could just swipe. With ther phones it'd make sense though.

Words With Friends available for Android..

I have it on Bionix-V 1.2.1 and it is acting a bit 'squirrely' Anyone else try it yet?
All my friends are on wordfeud, I don't associate with apple users. lol
Seriously I'll go try it out, I do have a few iphone user friends still that haven't seen the light.
I'm seeing complaints about it being buggy on a bunch of different forums. Then again, what did people really expect from Zynga?
So yeah, make your iPhone friends wait until Word Feud is out for iOS
Wordfued better then wordsmith?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Is it just my Vibrant, or is the game not sharp when zoomed out? The scored numbers are pretty blurry and not as sharp as on other phones I've seen. When I zoom in they look fine. Anyone else noticing thing?

Looks perfect here. Have you messed with your LCD density value?
not sure how i can do that...i'm running the bionix v 1.2.1 rom. do you think that could be causing a problem?
Lots of force closes.
Clunky, ugly interface.
Notifications spotty at best.
No option to disable sounds so it makes childish noises whenever you open a game or play a words.
Not a spot on Wordfeud, but I do have a lot of iphone friends.
**sigh**
So far I have played maybe 3 games to completion and during that period experienced 8 FC's (thats just really poor coding if you ask me)
The interface is "meh" the lack of a pinch to zoom really feels awkward.
Looking beyond the poor execution, at its core it is a fun game to play with friends just could use quite a bit of improvement.
I'm on Bionix-V 1.2 and WWF looks and plays pretty badly (FC's, board looks janky zoomed out, chat's slow, some games show "their move" when it's really my move, etc). However, like beren28, I have a lot of friends who are iPhone users, so I guess I'm stuck waiting for an update.
ya opiomorph, that's exactly what i'm talking about. i switched roms too, and it still looks crappy zoomed out (compared to how it looks on an htc incredible). Mine also force closes alot.
Tried app on Stock 2.2 and it works fine (i.e. no FCs here). Any problems you're experiencing might not be the apps fault. However, I uninstalled the app because it insists on showing ads "full-screen" after every turn. Anything is better than that.

What If The Xoom Can Be Controlled By Motion Sense?

I was thinking... the Xoom has a front facing camera, and it would be kind of neat to be able to control it via motion sense much like the Wii. Although, it would have to run without a controller, since a tablet is a portable media device. I think that the camera could be used to implement motion controls into Android itself. There just needs to be some new coding and adjustments to make it work so that it can have movement detection and gesture recognition. I think it would be cool to have because then you would have more than one way to move around and execute commands.
This would be another great victory that Android would have over the iPhone that it wishes it could have. Touch screen+motion controls=not Apple.
Does anyone else think having motion controls to navigate Android would be a cool idea?
I agree that would be so awesome.

Exactly! I don't see why not. The Wii uses a channel based motion sense experience, the tablets could have a similar feature, but with hand detection, since there will be no controller.

Ah sweet! I knew something like this would be worked on as we speak. That's why I said it is completely realistic for this to happen. Just for a few minutes, if they would focus more on features and a little less on power (Android is the king anyways), then we would have some new unique stuff like motion controls, which would spawn off a new way to navigate through our homescreens, and play new unique apps that make use of the camera and motion sense, and execute other commands using motion/hand gestures.
Has there been a game out on the Android market yet that makes use of the front facing camera, with something like face detection that puts you into the game. A good example is the Face Raiders game on the 3DS, or some of the other DsWares.

I know xoom has no prox sensors but this works great on a phone if they could just work it to the cam instead

Woah that's pretty tight. I'd like to see something similar to this natively on the newest Android devices. How cool would that be! Thanks for the find. Never knew about that app.
