dpi settings 640x480 - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

Hello,
I want to buy a WM6.1 device with a resolution 640x480 (with 192dpi).
I'm wondering if it's possible to use the Real VGA tool to switch from 192dpi to 128 dpi. (or does Real VGA only works on 320x320 devices like Samsung
i780.
Please help, thanks

A QVGA simulator, does it exist ?

Hi,
I don't know if it's due to the trueVGA resolution but many aplication doesn't work properly (especially games) on my Athena. I wonder if there isn't any QVGA simulator, I mean an application with which the QVGA application would work and would just be stretched on the VGA screen.
I hope that a such program exists !! (Or an another solution)
Thanks for any answer in advance.
disable true vga and you will get what you want

240x320 resolution: how?

Dear all,
I am currently using WM6.1 [1.2] on iMate SP3, but resolution is just 176x220.
Before this rom, I was using WM6 cleartype rom (downloaded from the chinese website), and resolution was 240x320.
I want to use my current version 'cause it's really stable, but I wonder if it possible to have it in 240x320...
Thanks
The maximum resolution of the screen on the Imate SP3 is 176 x 220. It is impossible for you to have a higher resolution than that

If you have an HD2, you need WVGA (that would be the resolution of your screen)
WVGA (480x800)

Can someone explain VGA, WVGA etc please

HI,
When downloading cabs for the phone I see different versions. There's VGA/WVGA, and QVGA/WQVGA. I understand they are to do with resolution, and the W stands fro wide, but could someone put it into muppet terms exactly what it is please?
I've been informed that the HD2 is VGA/WVGA, but how do I find out what my device is for future reference?
Cheers
This will tell you everything you need (and then some!)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Display_resolution
The HD2 is a WVGA device
WVGA is 800x480 (wide vga)
VGA is 640x480 (er.. vga)
QVGA is 320x240 (quarter vga)
not sure about wqvga, but it's wide quarter vga. It'll be in the link above.
Happy reading
Edit:
The reason you'll see cabs that are vga/wvga or qvga/wqvga is because the width is actually height, in portrait mode. vga and wvga are the same width (480 pixels), so most apps will work for both resolutions. Similar with qvga and wqvga. The w one is just wider in landscape, therefore taller in portrait.

differences between VGA/WVGA/WQVGA?

Hi!
sorry for the ignorance
but can someone explain me the differences between VGA / WQVGA / HVGA / QVGA ???
i got my HD mini yesterday, and trying to install keyboard (WQVGA & VGA) and always getting skin Error:
resolution for screen size not found!
tnx!
Check this image
WQVGA is the wide version of QVGA, that means, 240 pixels high and more than 320 wide (between 384 and 482 usually)
The HD Mini is HVGA
The only 3rd party keyboard that currently works in HVGA is SPB Keyboard, as far as I can tell.
Resco Keyboard, TouchPal and SlideIt don't work on the HD Mini at present.
