LOCK Screen - while in a call

I guess Im not the only one with this probem, but:
When Im in a call, talking to someone, my ear or just whatever touches the screen and initiates different programs and stuff.
This is very annoying!
Is there any program that locks the screen while In a call? And that automatically shuts down it self after the call is done?
Thanks!
may be this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=478606
but there are some bugs
try : ) instead of nothing

You just blatantly honored your handle with that post.
Thanks guys!
Well, the power button isnt really the answer I was looking for...
I mean, having to ask the person Im talking to, to wait for a sec so I can hit the power button....guess I will try out the other app!
Motor skills mate, I always press the button while bringing the phone to my ear. Just use your index finger or smth. ^^
For some reason, if I use the key lock function and it's in sleep mode, and I receive a call, the screen is locked and I can't hang up (or look into the calender) unless I unlock the keys. It's rather annoying, so I never use the key lock anymore.
power button way is good

How will recovery mode work?

Since the EVO has less physical buttons (Power, volume up and down), how will we able to move around in Recovery Mode? Will we just have to do things through the ADB shell on our computers?
Wow hadn't though of that.....
haha good question... volume buttons? idk...
There has to be some way...
How hard would it be to incorperate the touch buttons?

Hard as the OS has not loaded yet. My guess is ADB. THE HD2 might be the same anyone know how it works.
hard reset
HD2 hard reset is done by holding up/down vol buttons and touching on button. Similarly, ROM screen is reached through a combination of hard buttons. Works very well on the HD2.
Yea thats fine but so far recovery has used the trackball to navigate the menus, how are we gonna do that

We're going to used the volume buttons. Recovery mode shouldn't be hard to use. The Evo has enough buttons to manage it.
In Android Recovery App
Or what if we made an app for within android so we tell it what to wipe, flash, and partition before we do it? Like CyanogenMOD's Updater app? It tells what the phone to flash so the user doesn't have to.
im going to miss the trackball :/

Agreed, that's my biggest gripe about the EVO, no trackball

I say trackball because that's what's being put on, i'm just saying I don't like not having the hardware input device is all. same with no hardware answer/hangup buttons.
I guess I'd have to agree
My Mogul probably has more buttons than any phone has and there are times I wish they all had short press and long press (although sometimes they get in the way) since I like the quickest, easiest access to everything.
Hell I was hoping they would morph an HD2 with a pS3 controller. My Mogul has buttons at the top which is pretty cool for games in landscape. Wouldn't it be nice to have an Evo with a joystick and d-pad at the top and bottom. Oh, and r1 and r2 and l1 and l2 on the sides.

Make the capacatative touch controls stay on?

Any setting/way to make an app or hack for them to stay on for longer? It's so annoying that they turn off!
Oh man, I'm getting REALLY annoyed by that. It's bad enough that you can only turn the screen on to use the phone by using the power button that is in such a stupid position.
I'm really starting to miss the Home button on my iPhone.
Actually any of the 3 hard buttons will wake the phone so you can use vol up and down as well

you had me excited for a second... Volume keys do not work on mine to wake the phone.
Same only three power lock key worked and I wish there was a setting to have the lights on ask the time screen is on

Right. Vol keys don't wake the phone. It would be nice in theory, but adjusting volume (listening to music) with the phone in your pocket would then wake the phone and possibly allow the screen to unlock. I know that's a bit of a stretch, but being a touchscreen right next to your leg.....it could easily happen.
I can't believe there isn't a setting for this. The lights turn off too quickly. There should've been a low-power 'Always On W/Screen' option.
I wish they would've opted for hardware buttons, to be honest. That way, you can at least feel them out in the dark.
I'm new to the Android development scene, but would it be possible for someone to develop a market app to address the issue?
Why did the US carrier phones had the Home button removed.
Now they are incompatible with the regular Galaxy S firmware, and are hard to use in the dark.
Just stupid.
But 4 hard buttons are not a good solution either. A large Home button is.
I like the idea of a single hard button (the N1 trackball, the iPhone home button, the Galaxy S home button), and I agree: it was a stupid decision to remove that button.

dude, stop whining like a lil biscuit. the power button as screen on/off method is fabulous and quick. Loving the 4 touch buttons. Yes I understand the lights go off quite quickly but don't worry, i already have and you will also remember their position.

Power Button on top of the phone is more ergonomic.
Big Home Button is also more ergonomic and you don't have to "remember" it.
I think the US carriers wanted space to slap their branding, so they removed the large Home button. Plus, the 4 buttons make it harder to use international firmware, which will likely advance faster than the US-only versions.

Power Button Spoiling

My power button is getting lesser and lesser sensitive. It can hardly tell the different between holding down the power button to off the phone or pressing down the power button to sleep the phone.

[Q] Home button doing "click" noise when pressed. It's normal?

My home button does a noise when pressed right in the middle of it. If I press on any sides, not in it's center, there is no noise.
Only with me?

Sorry, what's it? Like any kind of dirty? This click is something "out of the box", since I noticed when first pressing it yesterday. Everything is absolutely clean and new.

Well, it's not so much weird, but I became a little bit afraid since I never had this click sound when pressing home button on S II, Note and Note II. They were all so silent when pressing home button.
I thought maybe it was faulty and maybe would bring me problems in the future...
Even because it happens only when pressed in the middle. This made me worried.
