This is a Captivate port from Doc Froyo. It is so far one of the cleaner vanilla Android 2.2.
NOT PERFECT!! Please report bugs! From now on, my focus will be on the Bell's version as it is more suitable to our North American Galaxy S. I will simply be porting the ROM over and will not test them extensively unless it is significantly better. I will attend to bugs if found. The reason behind this decision is that i9000 ROMs are not neccessary better for us because they are designed for Europe/Asia market.

Enable LAGFIX first before flashing my Theme add-on. Otherwise will boot into black screen if the internal SD is wiped/reset. To fix, needs to re-flash base ROM
Installation:
1) One-Click Restore to JF6 + Master Clear
2) Copy clockwork_recovery.zip to internal SD and rename to update.zip
3) Copy the ROM file and/or add-on to internal SD
4) Reboot to Recovery
5) Apply update.zip in Recovery to load Clockworkmod Recovery
6) Install the ROM file from internal SD via Clockworks
7) Wait for the install and reboot the system
7a) To enable lagfix and tweaks, reboot into recovery (adb reboot recovery)
7b) Allow system to reboot again
8) Install Add-On via CWM Recovery if needed (Must let the phone boots at least once)
Enable 850Mhz: (from newter55)
1) One-Click Restore to JF6
2) Odin flash JG8 modem
3) Ensure 850Mhz is working (*#0011#)
4) Master Clear with One-Click
5) Use CWM Recovery to install new ROM (Follow Step 2 on Installation)
6) Once up and running, enable WCDMA 850 by *#2263# (COMBI BANDS -> choose WCDMA 850)

Nice to see someone port it. My phone broke while I was in the middle of mine. Maybe you can incorporate some of the things I did into yours... just a thought. All of it's very simple (adding/removing apks mostly).

Voice Search FC Fix (thanks to jhnstn00):
1) Download the updated Voice Search APK from the attchment
2) Rename or Delete voicesearch.apk under /system/app
3) Install the updated Voice Search
4) Restart the phone and viola! You get Voice Search back!
Alternative method
1) Rename voicesearch.apk and googlequicksearchbox.apk
2) Restart phone
3) Search and Download Voice Search from the market
4) Rename googlequicksearchbox.apk back to the way it was
5) You get Voice Search and the search widget back
This FC fix will be incorporated in the next release from Doc_Kalpik

I can do that or you can do that for me too... It's not really that hard, as I said, I want something as plain as possible.

Can we see some screenshots?
Everything is working without problems?
No problems transitioning from 850-1900 bands?
No FC's in any apps or processes?

Can you apply his tweaks from the OG post? IE- disable the increasing ring or his themes?
What tweaks are included? Is this a barebone version?

I like docs so work too. Good luck.
He has the power button mods to get to download, recovery, and reboot. Lost my battery mod tho.

I can't test it though, YMMV. It's the Cognition-style battery.
And if it doesn't work, all you have to do is open that Battery_Mod.zip, take out the images inside the framework-res.apk, copy them into the framework-res.apk from the ROM, and replace it inside the battery mod .zip.

Well give out a try. I had the battery mod but lost it when I installed the power button mod.

Hmmm, try to give credit to the creator next time

I have this flashing addition, and the ROM is cooked for my convenience, I just post it so that those who like things bare can use it.
I have NOT tested this for every possible scenerios because I don't have 3G! If it doesn't crash or die on me, then I am OK. I am still new to this and learning.
This is quite barebone without TouchWiz. The only tweak installed is Voodoo, circle battery mod and HOSTS file. I try to keep this as simple as possible so you guys can add anything you like.
I may add Cog's style battery on the next release.
I have not get a chance to do screenshots, and will do it when I am updating the ROM when Doc_Kalpik has a new revision. It's not themed, so it's really stock Samsung like.

JPM modem, and it is not modified.

I think it's a matter of asking FIRST, then porting it, and then giving proper credit.

Has anyone tried this yet? Is it fast? How is the Voodoo color fix? I've been super interested to see anyone post pictures of the difference the color fix makes!

Not sure why you are whining about this so much. Did he not state that he was using another rom and making modifications of it? Did you build your version from the ground up, or "steal" part of it from someone else then added your tweak? I am happy to see someone else getting into the cooking game and look forward to see further advancement on this.

Aight, well I just jumped on board, flashed this bad boy a little while ago and everything seems to be running pretty good. Haven't come across any issues what so ever, no fc's, etc. Of course I always flash back to stock, master clear and remove sim before flashing and pretty much never have any issues, but I can confirm this ROM is running very nicely. I wanted to try it for the voodoo color fix, but I dont have anything to compare it to until tomorrow when I get to work and put it beside my buddies captivate. Will report back then. Feel free to ask any questions if interested.

Color fix works on full brightness.

LOCKSCREENs EXPLAINED
4tab Lockscreen and MIUI explained :
The upper right tab / right handle (MIUI) has to be set using the new 'Lockscreen menu' in settings
You can set it to launch anything (folder shortcut or any application ) I personally set it to messaging ( SMS application).
If you dont associate the tab with something it will soft reboot the phone when you use the tab
Both lockscreens will use the same 'custom setting'
MIUI lock screen known issues : forward song WORKS . Visualisation not working EVERYTHING ELSE IS WORKING
SGSII lockscreen known issues : Lockscreen Wallpaper can be set, but cannot be unset. This is because the Galaxy S 2 uses a different Gallery Application. To remove the Lockscreen Wallpaper and revert automatically to the default Wallpaper, delete this file
/data/data/com.cooliris.media/files/zzzzzz_lockscreen_wallpaper.jpg
Lockscreen Music Controls explained :
Aosp - Rotary - MIUI - R2D2 - 4tab : Music controls will work with ANY music player except the stock samsung one
epic - Glass - Puzzle : Music controls will only work with the stock samsung music plater
Update : Just want to point out that double tapping the lock will bring up music controls, cool feature.
MIUI works with Pandora !!!

nah man , like I posted in the other Threads , DRAGON is still my chef d' oeuvre , I wanted to test my own jf8 build for the fun of it + I decided to go as light as possible ..

Download from your PC/mac, not your phone as it will not download with the android browser or xScope, Dolphin, etc.

As you can see @andyharney has checked sources and reopened all closed threads.
Kernel sources were available on GitHub FOR A MONTHS.
And YES, kernel wasn't modified since CM9 RC2. It's the same old kernel.

Also, I noticed that some of you are doing everything to destroy our work, and that's why we aren't publishing device profile sources. By the way we don't have to do this. We've developed device profile from scratch on closed license and we just won't publish it, just like Samsung. You can still use our old device profile or Jellaxy one.
EDIT2: About Deep Sleep in Beta 3
I noticed some people experiencing issue with deep sleep after installing the update. If you are affected by bug, please turn off Google location services. We’ll try to fix it in next release.
EDIT3: About something called "Seeder"
Please, don't use famous app/hack called "Seeder". We did a quick research and /dev/random isn't used in android frameworks anywhere. Seeder will improve performance ONLY in some custom apps or cryptography functions, and that's why... we've integrated seeder tweaks in beta3. Installing "Seeder" would only decrease your phone's performance because it will work in background and waste your RAM.

they are working on both ICS and JB , and it will be released shortly.............

We will release AOSP JB when all issues in ICS will be fixed.

Great job, but IMO ICS>JB, so why waste time on ICS when JB is better?
I'd love to see fully working AOSP JB or AOKP JB.

When you say it could brick the phone, is there any reason this particular operation is more dangerous than flashing any custom rom on any device or are you just giving a standard warning. GW depends on if Oppo included a secure element with Google's keys or not.
LOTS of manufacturers include this even if their device isn't supported by GW, however occasionally devices show up without an SE. (Last ones I saw were Samsung I9100P and I777.)

Quite simple because the led is tiny. BLN looks good and works well, That was just a request.
However since the phone supports it i would love NFC on this ROM

I am an owner of Samsung Glaaxy S4 GT- I 9505 with Android 4.4.2 and Kernel 3.4.0-3423977. It's the official latest update here in Europe.
But Samsung has a lot of programms inside that i don't need and they run on the background.
I am using most for typing , viber, sms, calls, camera (A lot), and inserting files from computer to computer via the phone, and 1-2 games to pass my time,but inside has a lot of programms.
Which is a good room stable,without any problems and really light without all this unnecessary programs ?
I am waiting for suggestions.

I'm a big fan of CyanogenMod. Works great for me! It is fast, reliable, up-to-date. If you haven't already, give it a try....

For me Omega rom almost 100% stock with improvements , fast , stable , lots of support , lets you install the bloatware you want....

I have already done it but as i said the download links in the section of IGNF100% is not working.

Almost pure Android Experience, just with a few very useful tweaks, and amazing battery life! I'm using this ROM since a few days now and I'm fascinated, it's like I'd bought a completely new phone! Even better than Cyanogenmod in my opinion, because I've had a few bugs on CM12 (bad battery life, very bad microphone quality etc.). Camera is working fine, too.

Ι will try out later on.But i don't want 5.0 version because i have found some stuff that are not welcome to me.
I have already tried:
*Cyanogen
*Google Play 5.0
*(Few Minutes ago i installed the 4.4.4 Official Google)
And next is yours and after the Omega,and after the Albe95.
I will find the best one out.
