i got following Problem. I can't connect my laptop to my smartphone properly via ad hoc.
Got Mocha Ftp server and a working(say both sides) ad hoc connection. but i cannot share files between those two devices. As it is said that a connection cannot be established. i didnt have this problem with my omnia
Got windows 7 32 bit and wm 6.5.
Is anyone able to establish a working ad hoc connection, or do only i have this problem ?
Yeah, it's unfortunately broken in 3.003 roms... We'll have to wait until the bugfix patch or a new ROM will be released.

Is there a way to get a working pptp client for my x10i.
My Phone is rooted and i can replace files if needed.
The buildin pptp client is useless and doesn´t connet to my bintec r1200 router.
My Windows PC and my Ipod are connecting without any problems.
Why google added a pptp client which doesn´t work ?
Some Users wrote they can connect with some comercial vpn providers. But i need to connect to my own Network. I don´t want to pay for something which my Router can give me 4 free ^^
My Phone does never connect to my Network. I does not matter if encryption is turned on or off.
I tryed the tip to replace some file from this thread, too.With no luck

Has anyone get a succesful PPTP connection to a NON COMMERCIAL Vpn ?
Openvpn is useless for me, too. My Router supports als standard VPN, so i don´t want to run an additional PC to get that Phone connected to my Network.

I need some help with WIFI. I've set up my pc (connected via ethernet) to share internet via an Ad Hoc WIFI connection. The connection works but I have to manually connect to it every time. How do I make Android treat Ad Hoc networks same as Router based WIFI?

I can't answer your question but I can, however, provide you with a possible workaround.
If you're using Windows 7, download and install a free software called Connectify. It turns your PC into a full blown access point. Just used it during a trip to share a hotel ethernet connection and it worked like a charm.

I m trying to connect to my work wifi EAP but with no success. I heard a solution was to get your a certificate installed on your device.
Now, i also have a work laptop which can connect to the wifi. if we bring our own personal laptops, they do not connect. So i was thinking if i could somehow grab the certificate from my laptop and install it on my device, i would be able to connect to the wifi?
Any ideas on how to?

I have a bad problem in my android phone with wifi connection
it is very wonder. let me explain it more.
I am using android on my HTC HD2 device. every thing was good before but these days I have faced a bad problem that is very strange for me.
The first sign of it was "APPLANET" software was not able to connect to it's servers in order to load program lists !!!
at first I thought that maybe APPLANET servers or ports are blocked via my ISP but one day I installed MDJ HD android rom that supports "Internet pass through" and tested that program and I found that it worked .
with wifi: the program didn't work
and with internet pass through (internet from pc to android with USB cable) it worked right.
And this is very wonder to me
I have a DSL line with one modem (TPLINK) that supports wireless router and LAN
MY PC is connected to internet via lan and my phone device is connected to internet via WIFI
both of them are using same internet but when I use wifi in mobile some programs such as applanet & yahoo messenger client doesn't work while they are working fine when I connect my HD2 phone to internet via USB cable and "internet pass through"
When I found that my ISP hasn't blocked the servers and ports At first I thought that there might be a problem in my WIFI settings , so I did a factory reset in my modem and set up it again but the problem didn't go
Then I thought that problem is related to my phone settings
I did TASK 29, Upgraded RADIO to 2.15
I installed some different android ROMs
but problem still exists !!!!

I Have a windows xp sp3 on my labtop and I use a 3g dongle to connect to internet...but I can't figure out how to share my internet over wifi to be enable to search internet on my NST....I created an ad hoc using my labtop dell wireless manager and shared my internet but It seems like my NST can't find the network (despite the fact that my Nokia N82 finds it and connetcts to web) so I used the connectify app to share my internet but that didn't work either...(It may be me who can't configure the software. I don't know) ...seems like The NST can only find the routers and DSL modems not ad hoc networks...do u guys have any suggestions ????
It's possible that it doesn't support adhoc mode. there a virtual access point app for windows floating around, Google it. If your wifi card supports it, enjoy.

It's about NC, you might need another wpa_supplicant for NST tho.
