help please my N1 is stuck at boot - Nexus One General

hi , i have rooted my n1 and loaded ( recovery-RA-nexus-v1.5.3) into it , but because i had problems with the wifi i decided to flash back the original rom , i did everything as instructed , but when i booted my n1 i get stuck on the boot image with the unlock , can you help me please ?

Can you boot into recovery or fastboot and reflash a known good image (download one and check the md5)? If you can get into recovery then you should be able to reflash without any problems.

Wipe the phone with recovery then try the new rom and radio that got leaked today. I am using it with no issues. In this post there is update.zip that you can flash using recovery if you are having issues with fastboot.

URGENT HELP!! - Reflash Factory Image (Bootloader unlocked, not-rooted)

My phone is OEM unlocked but not rooted (secure boot - enable as so said in fastboot mode).
Basically my phone cannot get to bootup. It doesn't show "Google" on startup or "X" animation. it crashed yesterday and got stuck on the "X" screen animation. So tried to factory wipe and adb wipe stuff. and things gotten worse. And i need my phone urgently to work because i'm waiting for calls for job interviews. so this is an urgent request!
i tried the LG Google Nexus 4 toolkit to flash Google Stock image but i'm getting the error
"failed <remote: flash write failure>"
i can boot to Custom/Stock Recovery without Permenently Flashing it with Clockworkmod or TWRP.
i tried "update from ADB" option in Android system recovery with "adb sideload image-occam-jdq39.zip" and it's able to send it to the device, but i'm getting "Installation aborted"
I'm out of options and i'm really lost....please help!!
Can you flash a recovery using? :
Code:
fastboot flash recovery name-of-recovery.img
If you can, then download a rom and flash it through the recovery that you installed.

Erased phones recovery

Hi I have the XT1570, running unlocked and with rooted but stock 5.1.1. I have run in to some issues with the recovery part.
Firstly I wanted to go back to the recovery and flash a stock recovery so I could get the OTA for MM, i did that using fastboot, and the flash worked fine according to fastboot, however once i rebooted into recovery it would not load, got an error message, I forget now something about dumping back to bootloader.
Anyway i fixed it got TWRP back on again, then tried a different stock recovery, same thing same error, so i thought I would easily get back to TWRP by the same method, flash again. I was wrong, now fastboot told me , target reported max download size of 536870912 bytes
error: cannot load 'twrp-2.8.7.1-clark': No error
Remember this is the exact same TWRP image i have just flashed not 5 mins before.
So i thought ok then, maybe an old image is in there taking up space or something.
C:\Users\David\Desktop\Mfastboot\Mfastboot>fastboot erase recovery
erasing 'recovery'...
(bootloader) Erase allowed in unlocked state
OKAY [ 0.017s]
finished. total time: 0.019s
Now I get the message:
Invalid boot image header.
Error:failed to load kernel
Boot up failed.
I presume I have deleted everything in the recovery partition, and so messed it up good, but I dont know how to fix it at this point.
I also erased the cache along the way (via fastboot) as I tried to get the OTA update to work anyway just to see what would happen, so I had to erase the cache to cancel updates
I must reiterate, I can boot into Android and use my phone no issues, at all, just I have no recovery at all and this means updates arent going to work, also i cant seem to find a reliable source for a stock recovery.
Some step by step help would be appreciated, as I am not an expert by any means on this.
Thank you.
Also my device was bought in China as that is where I am, it does indeed have the code name XT1570, dual sim, I would assume it is basically the same as the XT1572 asian. I do also have an original backup of the phone after unlocking bootloader, before root, which was my next port of call after changing the recovery back to stock.
fixed it i was just being foolish, someone delete this thread it is of no use.
Can you explain how you fixed it? I too have deleted the recovery in an attempt to flash twrp, but now neither twrp nor the stock recovery are there?

My friend, this is no hard brick.sometimes this error happens because because your recovery.img file is corrupted.Check that your recovery.img is found in the cmd folder...And use command 'fastboot boot recovery.img' << this one surely will work.Otherwise, please follow my own thread where I faced an identical problem..>>http://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-a6000/help/problem-flashing-rom-soft-brick-t3353665 Oh,and calm down, not that serious of a problem, you wont have to go to the dreaded service center.

When you can't even enter to bootloader (or fastboot), that situation is called hard brick. The problem you are facing is due to the wrong recovery version. Try this latest twrp 3.0.2 by sevenmax.
And yah, if "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" doesn't work, then try "fastboot boot recovery.img"

This method alsi not gud. Try this method.

I did it & saved from hardbrick. Just do whatever files u have. But dont forget ti erase boot. Erase boot then flash boot* this is main step. Then flash twrp and instll any backup or new rom.
Follow these instruction.... main files are in stock firmware file. Recovery alone flash ur own custom recovery of ur choice

Bhai, This method is for soft- bricked device, when you can enter bootloader.
In case of hard brick you can' t even enter in bootloader, and can't run these commands. The link I posted is for hard bricked devices.
And, you don't actually need to go through these complicated steps in case of soft brick.
Just flash any recovery through bootloader and then flash any ROM. You don't need to extract and flash each file separately.

Error Flashing TWRP on unlocked XT1640

Greetings everyone, I just got a new XT1640. I installed on it the ATHENE_NPJS25.93-14-4_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml ROM from here. Went to motorola's site and unlocked the phone. But I still can't flash TWRP.
this is what happens:
Code:
fastboot flash boot twrp-3.0.2-0-athene.img
target reported max download size of 536870912 bytes
sending 'boot' (12496 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.435s]
writing 'boot'...
(bootloader) Image not signed or corrupt
OKAY [ 0.186s]
finished. total time: 0.621s
I tried versions 3.1.1, 3.1.0 and 3.0.2 , all from the twrp site. Any ideas?
@yohanleafheart
Why do you want to brick your device ?
Check the command that you are entering, "BOOT" ???? That's "RECOVERY"
write command: fastboot flash recovery xyz.img
(Refer any Recovery or flashing thread)
EDIT:
When you used "fastboot flash boot twrp.img"
you got OKAY at last,
That means you flashed Recovery into Boot/kernel !!
If you face any kernel related problem on startup, then you will need to get original Boot.img and flash it...
Haha hey bro be careful while using commands .. u gonna poision your phone
In addition to ____Mdd's reply about TWRP being flashed to your boot (i.e. kernel!) partition, which isn't good...
The 'Image not signed or corrupt' error is normal because TWRP isn't cryptographically signed, so the bootloader reports as so. Normally, if you see [OKAY], the flash has succeeded (though in your case it's succeeded flashing to the wrong partition...) and you'd boot to recovery to ensure TWRP is not overwritten by the stock recovery (after which you can boot as normal).
If you need a stock kernel, you can pull the boot.img from the stock ROM you have and flash that to the boot partition or find the stock kernels here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72378739&postcount=262
Hopefully your device is working!
Gaaaaaaaaah didn't realize I was flashing to the wrong partition. Zomfg.
It didn't brick, i reverted to the stock before booting and relock the bootloader. I don't want the stock, I want to flash loa (did this on my s5 normally)
The problem is that even using the right command, it says that it is not signed, and wglhen I reboot in Dev mode it still won't boot on TWRP. It goes back to fastboot.
Any ideas?
