B7610 - Sumsung SMS Problems after updating to WM 6.5 - Omnia II General

HI
I have annoying Bugs with the Samsung SMS Programe after updating to WM 6.5.
1. I have now the default WM 6.5 Lock Screen the Sumsung Lock Screen from WM 6.1 has been removed thats ok for me but if i now get a SMS and click on the look screen to read the Message then i get redirected to the default WM 6.5 SMS Programe and not to the Samsung SMS Program.
2. If the Lock Screen is unlocked and i get a SMS popup and if i click on replay then i get again redirected to the WM 6.5 SMS Program and not to the Samsung SMS Programe.
3. In the Sumsung SMS Application there is a option to change the text color and test front and more but this is not working at all.
4. Biggest problem the messages in the SMS-Chat are not sorted be time it's a total time mixed up.
Dose same one here has also this PDA Version and have this SMS Bugs ?

Threaded SMS on Niki

Hi!
I'm looking for a threaded SMS app for my Niki that:
- Integrates in the messaging interface (so not messasing in contacts)
- Shows the new message arrival on the screen (replacing the default notify)
- Works with Dutch T9
- Without upgrading to a WM6.1 rom
Any suggestions ? I know that the Palm Threaded SMS app does most of the things, except a good notify / count on the homescreen....

I use the lord smiff threaded sms cab - this usses the t-mobile uk settings if you need this you can get it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1309352- if not you can search for a suitable one,
Vito SMS Chat?
Vito does not support Dutch T9 ... doesnt it ?
Im testing the Vito SMS chat now and I love it, there are a few problems thouh.
1.) Does not work with the slide out keypad
2.) Does not work with the software touch keypad
So I use the software touch keyboard, so its a two handed job all the time.
3.) It moves all the SMS to a different folder.
So vito needs to work on these three things.
and if they can add:
-SMS Predefined groups.
I tried lord smiff threaded sms and it rocks. . But I no programs I know of backup the text messages
the 1.2 version of sms-chat works with the keyboard AND T9
I'm hoping they incorporate MMS into it soon as well
Thanks for bringing this back up.
When you say keyboard, do you mean the slide out touchpad?
Now I remember why I uninstalled it, as of now im testing pocketCM which also has threaded SMS
yeah the hardware keyboard and software touch keyboard both work perfectly well on my sms-chat and im using t9 as well
my sms-chat is version 1.02.
I just uninstalled pocketCM after a few hours, still buggy.
When Vito has the options to view calls and MMS together with SMS then ill get itfor sure, till then, it back to stock aps for me
where can i get the threaded sms cab??? please
read the first page of this thread...the link is on it!
but if you still cant see it:

Have you seen Extreme Text from Birdsoft? Check it out here. I use it on my Kaiser and really like it. It doesn't need WM6.1. It has a better looking interface even than @M6.1 Threaded Messaging.
A New Text Message box pops up when a message arrives, but I think it's the standard box. If you ignore it, it goes away - then just open Extreme Text and the message is there. But the message is also in the standard inbox, so you can access it through Arcsoft messaging as well, and you don't have to worry about backing up a separate set of files.
I don't know why it wouldn't work with any language T9 - it doesn't demand any certain keyboard. I just used it with Touch Diamond keyboard, no problem.

WM 6.5 Lock Screen email tab

Hello, just wondering if there was a easy way to map the email tab on the new WM 6.5 lock screen so it does not bring up the Outlook email, instead it would open the new email directly? Thanks
Bottom of post 3 of my 6.5.x thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4268138&postcount=3
This will allow you to redirect the application launched, however you will still need a program or option that will load up the email directly
Ok so I changed it to \windows\tmail.exe
So we will see what happens shortly, thanks for the help.
Worked like a charm thanks, your the man!

Hi I have a problem with the lockscreen and its SMS/TEXT Notification. If my mobile is locked and it's receiving a message or a call, the number of missed items will be displayed on the slider. But if the mobile goes to suspend mode it will loose the number of SMS on the slider after waking up again.
Do you know why and how to fix that?
I was just going to ask if there was away to extend the slider notification time, (if thats what it is). I do find if you don't unlock soon after a new email / txt or whatever is downloaded the sliders notification disappears.
any of the numerous more knowledgable people in this forum know what registry setting would set the lockscreen slider to open manila sms when i get a text?

Totally thumbs up to gpap2004's reference to thinkblu's fix.
I'm running Dutty's HG R9 on my Topaz and HATED the HTC SMS app. This fix works great.
There's one small nit left over: when I get a new SMS notification in the topbar, if I tap on that notification I still get the crappy HTC SMS app. (If I remember to just tap on the normal Email app, everything is fine).
Does anyone have a fix so that tapping on the topbar "new SMS" notification launches the normal Tmail.exe app? (n.b. Dutty's HG R9 is based on WM6.5 with Manila and Sense; I do not use Sense at all; frankly I'm unsure whether I "use" Manila. My front screen I have enabled with a rather old HTC Home screen plugin, but I do still get that new HTC WM6.5 style top notification bar).
Thanks!
Jay

[Q] Alternative to Win 6.5 SMS?

Are there any alternatives to the Win 6.5 SMS?
I've looked all over the place and have tried almost all of the programs out there but they all either lag or don't work with SMS bubbles or integrate into Win 6.5.
Win 6.5 is threaded but I can't read somewhat longer txts. I scroll down and it just stops.
I want to be able to have a pop out that I got a msg, whether it's with SMS bubbles or another program. Would like it when it's in the lock screen as well and be able to hit reply to open up the SMS.
Anyone know of any alternatives?
Also interested! Windows mobile has awful texting, and if such a thing exists I would also want it.
try "sms chat"

+1 on Vito SMS Chat, great utility plus an option to back up.
thanks man, if i install Vito SMS chat then do i get different SMS notification ?
