this is the first time i am making one of my ROMs public but i've been cooking ROMs for some time.mostly for myself and my friends.i did this one because i need my phone to suit my needs and to be fast and clean.i was using it for some time now and only recently added some tweaks from this great forum.i could not find any bugs so i have decided to contribute to this community.ok here it is...
As base for this ROM i used latest 1.66 from HTC website.i did a lot of modifications to make it faster and i did some registry changes.i have used Manila 2.5. 19211 cos i think it is very good and bugs free version.so if you're looking for Document Tab and landscape this is not ROM for you.
ADDED STUFF:
WKTask Manager - for me this is the best one.i did some optimizations so it is usable on WM 6.5
SP Time Sync - very small and useful app to get time from internet
PimBackup - speaks for it self
HTC GPS Tool - well known GPS Tool which i found useful when i had problems to get fast GPS lock
HD2 BIOS Boot Splash Screen - i think it looks great.a big thanks and all credit goes to jeckill
25 Shortcuts For Manila - this is one of my last addons to this ROM i like the way it looks.again all credit and my personal Thank You goes to Jamrecords.

I have added a CAB to enable "My location" in manila weather tab.it is just a small registry hack.
I'm set to give your brainchild a try but as said a few time here, not much chance to download from rapidshare as a free user. Shame

no.it is jus deactivated cos it does not work for most people.it can by activated in registry.
"HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\Weather.EnableCurrentLocation" and set it to "1".

cab is in a first post.just install and my location is back.
as the title says, CLEAN OPTIMIZED and FAST & STABLE for me!

I have managed to get sense 2016 working on my HD2. I have zipped the files and have posted them on line available for download. I have tested this on the following configuration and it seems to be fully stable.
Phone: HD2
OSKitchen Zero 1.31 beta 8
OS: 24620_MSXIPKernel_SYS_QVGA_WQVGA_HVGA_VGA_WVGA_0409 - IE seems to work better with this!
Sense 2016
I did the following to get sense to work:
Go to the Ext folder and:
1. Delete all Manila folders
2. Delete Start Icon folder
3. Delete Contact Picker and Contact Utility Engine folder - I noticed issus when adding contacts to the people tab with this
4. Extract the files from the zip file into the folder
5. Compile and install on phone

To get this to work I have taken a lot of files from kitchens that are available on line and compiled them together.
One limitation is this is designed for English WWE only!
Hi again, thanks for your work, actually I've been working on this myself and managed to install it on my leo as well. I've used a T-Mo 2.13 rom as the base rom and I've taken the 2016 sense from the chinse 3.04 rom. Basically I've copied all the manila sense files incl' "Start Icon Loader" and replaced them in the 2.13 rom.
I couldn't post it here just yet since I've had other problems that I wanted to solve:
The sense would not load automatically! The rom just boots into Titanium. very annoying!
The messaging client had some bugs and would not display currectly - Installing the latest HTC Message v1.10.281.0 and HTC Messaging Client v1.5.20161721.00 solved this so I'm left with that titanium problem.
For your problem with the contacts, I advise you to go in here http://www.mobileunderground.info/showthread.php?t=15457
this is thread is about the latest and greatest EXT packages. Download it and replace your contact picker with the latest one, this might solve your problem. Let me know...
I managed to get the contacts issue working. I found an updated version of the contacts engine and picker folder. This resolved the issue. The 1.66 rom is very old now as was causing me a lot of issues.

I used it as It was the most stable rom. I tried T mob but like you had a lot of problems with sense not loading. I found that I could get it to work with 1.66 and I am updating software eg facebook back end engine and contact picker issue all now resolved. Just compiling my rom now should be up in the rom section shortly.
I also noticed that the 1.66 rom seemed to give the best results for battery power etc.
I have designed a new rom from scratch. I have gone back to stock look and tried to make the rom with a combination of speed and battery length.
So far in about 3 hours of testing in standby with HSPDA on the battery dropped about 1 to 2%
I have skinned the home screen slightly just to make the rom look that bit better.

I have now been able to fix the volume tab which I had issues in my previous roms. I am still working on the rotation issues with music and pictures tabs. If you can tell me how to fix this let me know and I will include in my next release.

How to Make WM6.1 ROM with Manila v2.0
hi every one ... as you know i'm too busy these days and cannot make a rom for you
so i'd like to share my files with you ... maybe they become useful to make a good rom
most of you know that running Manila V2.0 cause many problems in wm6.1 or some parts of it doesn't work
after searching and programing (a little) finally I could launch MANILA V2 on a cooked WM6.1 rom

it doesn't use alot of memory or battery... you can test.
at first boot with manila working it takes 36% ..!
HOW TO MAKE A ROM - for biginners
1- download an offical rom from this site
2- use an easy kitchen (like OSKitchen Zero) and dump the offical rom
3- in the EXT Packages delete MANILA V1 Package
4- extract all this files to EXT Package
5- use a recmode for DRM Middleware
6- build the rom
** you can change files if you want... like theme
i sugges you not to import Manila Home Weather Updater ( Meteo in home tab Thanks to abhishek69)
because sometimes after flashing, it break manila to work ... after flashing, you have to update weather, then you must install this cab and reboot
NOTE:
-this Package made for WM6.1 ... so you may have problem to use this for WM6.5 (for WM6.5 go to this page)
-in home tab, operator name is correct (also MTN IRI) but sometimes like in the picture it have problem (the problem is just for MTN IRI ... i'm sure that your operator name shows corrct- this note is for Persians)
-if you want to have other parts of manila (like audio manager or htc album) go to this page ... note: some app won't work in wm6.1

i agree with u man but as u know , wm6.1 is suitable to run linux
also it have a good speed and battery, i though that maybe someone use wm6.5 only for manila v2.0

I decided to create one Fully loaded rom my pro i-funny. I want to publish new pro versions.in this rom i included lots up applications so it will take eating more RAM so i included manila 2d 1.2.1913.1530 and modify it looking like m2d 2.0.

i think your phone was not proper connect with pc. please if your using windows 7 then install Windows Mobile Device Center in your pc then try again. its will be don.
Looks amazing at first instance! But I would suggest you to make an ultralite version which includes only m2d. Leave the other apps to us! Because I don't think that including so many apps is such a good idea. Thank-you. The ROM looks brilliant Mehul!

after a week i finally made a Rom
everything works fine and i i found no bug till now
it has a good battery life
Its light and work fast without overclocking !
It works fine for me , USB pop up , volume key , home setting etc !
it didn't made me to do even soft reset after 10 hours testing
This Rom support Farsi/Arabic language
If something went wrong, do a hard reset

I have no idea about how to change font size and button

Many Congrats for the new ROM. The look is quite better. This has overcome the issue of "Mail Account not visible" in Pajerm's ROM. But the cancel button(Red button) is not taking me to the home as in Pajerm's. I am facing few more issues
* The Music status is always "searching...."
* The soft keyboard does not have toggle switch(ON/OFF)
It would be great if you can include Facebook application!

Please fix Arabic keyboard error typing when using XT9. But with out XT9 checked it works fine
