Hi Guys
My Touch2 is behaving strange since yesterday. It doesn't unlock after sliding the "lock box" to left of right and stays unresponsive. I am having to remove the battery and restart to get in again.
Can anybody tell why this is happening?

Do a hard reset mate, most probably it will help
have you set the option to view the owners info?
that can cause this problem.
on the HTC site is a patch for it. (regarding owner info)
Yes, it sure did work. Applying the hotfix for Owner Information (MEG02789.exe) from htc.com did the trick.

I've bought it unlocked and can use with any carrier.

can u change if your owner information was displayed..remove battery and directly access towards setting/personal and owner information ....just unclick that option..last week in my phone same problem was there for few minutes...

I'm having a strange issue since I got my Wizard.
When the device is locked through the today plugin, there is a white screen showing up for a few seconds when it wakes up. This issue even caused me a few "white screen of death". Is it a known Windows Mobile problem ? And if it is, is there any known fix ?
I'm running the latest Orange AKU2 Rom (2.16.1.3 FRE).

I discover something...maybe it's help you. When you take a lot of program to your pocketpc, then the time is longer and longer of the white screen is shown. About 3 days ago I made a hard reset on my pocketpc, and the white screen is shown in a short time.

I just started using my company's corporate email access (Intellisync) and they installed a mandatory password lock program and now I get a 1 or sometimes 2 second white screen when waking my device up.
Since others on this thread have connected it to the Today lock screen app I think maybe it is connected to having a lock tool checking lock status on wakeup.
So far it hasn't caused any problems, but it is a noticable change from how my device acted prior to the lock being installed.
Of course it could also be the Intellisync program so who knows?

I have the same problem. It takes about 4 seconds for the white bars to disappear. Its almost like it locks up and gets sluggish for a few seconds then snaps out of it.

I have my P3600 for only 1 month. The touch screen suddenly has no response without any reasons.
I have tried soft and hard reset but with no luck. Is there any hold button/fuction at the P3600?
Can you guys please help and give your expert advise.

You have notice that the menu start pop up with no reason?
Try to place the trinity in a very cold place and tell me if the touch screen function again.
I find that in a warm place some trinity simulates the press of the upper corner sx pixel, so in this case the touch screen not respond and the menu start pop up frequently.
i have this problem, my trinity open the more start menu and the screen not respose. Only recover this problem is remove the battery and wait more hour.....
I have this problem also, bring back to service centre and they said the LCD might me the cause of the problem, replace it under warrenty.
Could you post the S/N and the radio/rom version of the device with the "start menù" problem?
Unfortunatelly I have this same problem, I have read on the internet that when the trinity gets hot it does this because some parts of it extends and puts pressure on the screen top left corner.
I don't know how to fix it but it is a relief that I am not the only one having this problem. I don't know what the fix is but this problem basically renders the phone useless for me.
If anybody has resolved this issue with HTC please let us know.
I don't think it's a pressure problem on the screen.
I have the same problem also with the phone totally open and the screen free of the upper cover.

It's not a LCD Screen problem because i have replaced LCD screen with a new but it's the same problem.
Perhaps touch screen controller on motherboard or touch screen driver (dll) in the ROM.

If I change the viewing mode sidewards, it is the calendar button that pops up all the time., and opens the calendar again and again. You can not control it anymore. Just X all the time. Seems to be software or ?

I wonder if this screen problem is going to be a time bomb for everyone. I don't think it has anything to do with the new ROMs as it is a hardware problem.
I hope it's not like the peeling thing. One started complaining and ten days later everybody was facing the same problem.

Could you explain for what you want to know serial number? This can help or just for statistics? Maybe then everybody will be glad to do it.
I bought the device on Feb 3rd,
and it started on march 3rd when playing a 'tetris like' game. It always opened the 'new game' button on the bottom left, while playing.
I must say, it does not occur constantly! There are times I use my p3600 and it is completly normal. But then just as from ghosts hand the task that is combined with the button in the 'left top corner' (upright position) starts to be pushed.

Simple:i'm trying to understand if it's a problem of specified p3600,or if it's a problem that occurs randomly in all the p3600!
Ok. Lets collect same statistic but lets do it organized. For example my data.
Rom: 1.15.405.5 (HTC) - official (or modified by somebody)
Radio: 1.20.00.11
s/n: HT645FK08xxx
CID/SIM Unlock: No (or "Yes" if you did it and with which method - IMEI or FreeUnlocker)
Screen Protector: Yes ("Brando" mat for Qtek s110/S200)
Issue: "Start" menu pop up very seldom (seldom,often,very often,constantly) while I use stylus to scroll items of field "Play sound" of "Clock&Alarms" Settings, switch "iLauncher" tabs, play "MasterSoft Sudoku" (I list all places where I find out my issue) and I need to tap to "Start" or other place of the screen to close it.
I do not do CID/SIM Unlock and I do not reflash any ROMs. My current ROM is the ROM that was then I purchase P3600.

Even when the Device is locked a push of the Calendar-Button opens the Calendar (with the device still being locked). Is there a possibility to avoid that the application-keys react even on a keyboard-locked-device?
I would like to have a behaviour like I had it on my HTC Touch Diamond where the Power-key locked the device and only the power-key awoke it from Standby.
Does anybody know some registry-tweaks for that function ?

Very annoying. the 800w had this problem too.
Had the same problem. Recently I was forced to hard reset my Treo Pro. Haven't had the issue since!
I've hard reset twice and the problem persists. :S Not cool dude.
I have my Jade about 4 months and everything works perfectly until today.When i try to select something on the screen the phone selects items above or under my selection. When i restart my phone (even hard restart 2 times, aligning the screen countless times) for a first 5 minutes everything is OK but later its coming back (the same issue)
Please someone help.Any solutoin???
EDIT: I flashed the phone with newest HTC rom.The phone now reacts better but sometimes the issue with the screen happens again.Not that often as before.Anyone????
If the screen looses his adjustment very often you have to think for an hardware-defect.
I think it's a hardware problem. I experienced that before, not HTC though but O2. Changed the screen.. wallla. Better utilise your warranty clause now.
only need to change the touch pad layer not the whole screen which can b extremly costly

I think he did several times ("aligning" is supposed to mean "calibrating" in #1, I presume).

Only to make it clear: The program "TouchFlo" = user interface does not launch - so what do you see exactly (normal home-screen?)? Or do you mean that the touch function of the screen does not work?
Hey there,just got my Hd2 yesterday,its an awesome phone,however im encountering this problem..When i lock the phone,and keep it idle for some time (10 mins),and then try to unlock it ( slide the tab ) it doesnt respond..I mean the phone just doesnt respond to my finger movements as if its dead..Can you help me out ?

Hello, it's my first message also.
If I understand well what you're meaning, you encounter problems for unlocking the phone ?
I think I had almost the same issue, but figured it out quickly, I think: the unlock slider is special for practical or security reasons. As far as I know (I have the HTC Leo for one month only), the unlock slider needs to be pressed a very little longer in order to become active (it becommes white) before you can slide it right or left.
It's not an issue in the end, but I hope we're talking of the same thing.

When it responds and you can use it normally, you could try a hard reset (Settings>Security> Factory reset)...
