TMC (Traffic Informations) on HD2 - HD2 General

Hello,
Yesterday I put the Igo 8 on my Hd2 and the TMC is not working. I understood from other sites that the TMC is not working because the HD2 needs a driver to activate this function from the FM receiver. I came here to ask you if anyone has this driver.
Thank you in advance

HTC TYtn, Navigon and GNS 5843

Hi,
I'm looking to find out if anyone knows if the HTC Tytn will wirk fine with Navigon 5 or 6 and than with the GNS 5843 GPS/TMC BT Receiver.
Can't find any info on this combination.
THX
I would safely say that any navigation software that is for a pda device and a compatable bluetooth gps receiver will work just fine. I am not using your specific software or gps receiver, but with tomtom software and a bluetooth gps receiver I find the device works as a great navigator.
Okay THX a lot for the reply. I still wonder about the combination of Navigon Mobile Navigator and the GNS 5843 TMC/GPS receiver.
I know TomTom works but I prefer Navigon and on an iPAQ 2790 the mentioned post and combination worked perfectly.
But I don't know the TyTn very well.

Unlock Bluetooth Profiles?

Hi there,
sry for my bad english...
I already got a Pharos from my company and I installed a navigation software which works quite fine. the other day I purchased a bluetooth TMC module to get the latest traffic news for the route calculation. this module operates with the SPP (serial port profile), but the Pharos (with standard WM 6.0) doesn't support that profile. I get a bluetooth connection but the tmc module is not recognized correctly by the Pharos.
is there any possibility to unlock these bluetooth profiles (so that I can use this tmc thing), or is this not working because of the hardware? I'm, sry but I am not that professional in these things
thx in advance
what version of pharos you have? traveller 127 0r 117 ?
I'm sry, but I don't know...
It's a HTC P3470 and if my informations are right, it must be the Pharos, or not???
nobody any ideas???
maybe with an update to 6.1? can somebody confirm that?
thx in advance
does anyone know if it is a Hardware issue or is it possible to activate a bluetooth profile with a Software update?

I don't have a TMC module, but there is a "COM PORTS" options in my BT setup. Did you try that? I am using CE OS 5.2.1944 (Build 18547.0.7.3)

IGO 8.3 and GNS TrafficBox FM9BT-C TMC receiver

I am using a TMC receiver from GNS on a HTC Leo with the following problem:
Connection with this device is possible via e.g. COM2. But before running IGO I first have to establisch a bleutooth connection before i can start IGO TMC. When i start IGO without first connecting to this bleutooth device it ask me to add a new bleutooth device or first make a connection to FM9BT-C. This screen disapperas verry fast, so no possiblity to make a selection. This does not happen with a HTC TytN II. In this case it makes automatically a connection with the selected bleutooth device FM9BT-C without asking for making a connection manually Does somebody have a solution for this.
TMC on HD2
Who has experience with using TMC on a HD2 via a bleutooth connection. Every time IGO askes for the correct bleutooth device. The screen looks like:
ad a new device ...
connect to FM9BT-C
Is there a possibility to connect directly to this TMC device without asking?
why would you need bluetooth?
you can use the build in TM radio for TMC...
search the development board for TMC ... greetz
There is no TMC driver for the Touch HD2
did they change the radio controller so much?
on rhodium ect. the tmc is working fine...
Yes they changed it. So at the moment no TMC driver for the HD2.
Hi, have you made any progress with the issue you have, of having to activate the bluetooth connection before starting your iGo8?

Has anyone actually got TMC working (via headphones)

Hi
I've installed HyperGPS and I can get the driver active, but IGO8 never finds the TMC receiver.
Has anyone actually managed to get this working? is so how?
or maybe any other tmc devices with the hd2?
have same problem with igo.. never use tmc?!?!
any solution pls
tmc is a highly area- dependent feature from what I understand. You need to make sure tmc is supported in your country/region.
TMC does not work on the HD2 yet.

Does Nokia GPS LD-3W work with Android?

Hello!
I've bluetooth GPS receiver Nokia LD-3W. Earlier, used with HD2 @ Windows Mobile 6.5 system. Now I have Android AmeriCanDroid (SD) on board, so I don't have any idea how can i connect receiver and use it with google maps navigation or other navi app. Device is paired with my HD2, but it can't connect and beeing used as gps. Do You have any ideas? I'm looking for solution everywhere and I can't find it.
Generally, It is possible to use this LD-3W as external gps with Android? In WinMo 6.5 there is easy way, because receiver is using serial port service via bluetooth.
Android does not support serial port for bt GPS.after pairing your receiver, download from market the program Bluetooth gps provider and it will work
Wow! It works fine! That was so easy Thanks
It is working for me too
