How to RESET HTC HD2 CALL Life Time - HD2 General

Hi guys,
after flashing and reflashing i saw that the life time was untouch... So now i need to know if there is a trick, software o reg key that can reset my HD2 life time...
I've 5h incoming call and 21h outgoing call, i want to reset this values and set to 0!
Somebody can help me please?
Thanks to all!

May I ask why you would reset the timer?

Maybe he needs to sell it, or he doesn't want his wife to know he's talking to his mistress all the time. Who cares? xD

True, just curious
But it's enough with one thread, this forum is cluttered already.

Yes, of course it is, but it's not meant to be changed. That's why we ask. No worries. Good luck.

So you think that is impossible? For real? Unbelievable... So advanced, so inviolable...

I said it was possible, not impossible.

Isn't he just on about the call timers? Could always reset them on the Kaiser and Hermes...

Really? My kaiser carried the call timers over past OS and radio ROM flashes.

I believe he is - and to be honest I would love that option myself, or if not a second set of timers which can indeed be reset.

I'll be honest I didn't ever try to reset them on the Kaiser when it went WM6.5, but I remember resetting them on both phone at least once...

Hi!
I did a diff between two backups of my registry because last week I started having problems with my bluetooth headset.
And by hasard, I found this registry folder:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\CumulativeCallTimers\Line_0]
There are entries like OutgoingVoiceCurrentNumCalls, OutgoingVoicePhoneLifeTime and AllPhoneLifeTime and they increased from one backup to another.
I have no reason to touch them, but maybe you want to try or search a little more about those entries.
Edit: Weird! Somehow, the forum insert a space in the name of the registry folder, but the space is not here when I edit the post. Anyway, just ignore the space in the "cumulative" above.

Anyone tested that? Would it work also on other devices?

What you mean whith Kaiser or Hermes?
For all, i don't thing is a reg key setting. It should be a radio hack... News or tests to do?
Thanks

Go to Call History -> Menu -> Call Timers. There should be a reset button there to reset the timers for recent calls. HTH.
Or hard reset
Flash radio is the only way to reset ALL call timers.

I'm afraid that resetting all call timers in Device Info is not possible even if you flash a new radio or even a complete rom.

To reset the Recent Calls counter, tap Menu > Call Timers > Reset. The All Calls counter cannot be reset.

Kindly Regards

Which one? The first page of the same thread?
As of now i don't think thats possible, someone tried doing the mtty command in the Kaiser forum and messed up his handset,my suggestion is to leave it alone and not to experiment.Eventually there will be someone who will figure out how to do it.
There s no option for windows mobile systems.
The only solution is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2142073&postcount=10.
Works 100%!
Ok guys, here is a dirty trick that worked on older devices and not sure if it doesn't on newer ones.

Will definately not work, but hell am intrested to see if anyone can come out with a way to reset call timers, though am not selling my Kaiser and Cruise(love both of them),its just curiousity i guess.

my X1 is KAPU lol

i was using meta trader 4 program and it prompts for live update.. the update always fail so i had to click ok to delay update everytime i use..
however on ocasions it may just hang..
hence starts my cycle of taking out the battery or poking the reset button time and time again to reset..
after one fateful reset, programs like sktools tdkeyboard wvga3fix no longer works.. it states that " either the cert is invalid or component not found "
any idea whats up? corrupted file system ?? but there is no scan disk like our pcs ..
lol dont tell me hardreset is the only way... oh sigh

I'm sorry, normally I wouldn't suggest resets because too many people use them as a lazy way out instead of a last resort as they should be, but looking at the problem you're having, it think it will save a lot of stress trying to find and then fix the problem if you do just hard reset.
u tryed reinstalling SDKcert.cab ? else there ist no way around the thing we dont talk about in this thread
i did a harden reset lol sigh now the painful process of reinstalling

Yes, but the trick is NOT to reset the device after modifying the registry. That's quite unexpected from my point of view. That part is mentioned in the thread I pointed to.
Everybody try Axii_Wi_Fifix.cab. Really 100% works.

That CAB does exactly what post #2 already suggests.

.
thanks everyone for all your help
BTW, another solution for some of you may be to use a different ROM. I'm using Topaz Essentials 1.6 ROM (TESS1.6) from chef Aman, and this ROM doesn't have the wifi turning off problem.

It only works (worked for me) if you do the followings:
make the changes in reg:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\BCMSDDHD1\Parms]
"HTCKeepWifiOnWhenUnattended"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\TNETW12511\Parms]
"HTCKeepWifiOnWhenUnattended"=dword:00000001
as mentioned here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=524490
But if you reset your device you will have to re do it again
So, we really need a little cap with on/off

Odd RegKeys..

There's quite a few reg keys in the leo that I've not come across before, nor can find any reference to anywhere..
So I thought I'd start a list..
if you have any thoughts as to what they do or could do then pipe up !
(please don't post ones that you can find the answer too by searching, that's no fun)
1st up:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Touchman Enable = 0
setting it to 1 or above doesn't seem to do anything, except it's reset to 0 after soft reset.

mm you mean the IME tutorial ?
wouldn't that be part of the oobe though?
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\htcOOBE\Units\13
CmdLine \Windows\IMETutorial.swf
Yes but this could be a value that would just indicate that it needs to launch. Anyway, that was just a guess.

lol yeah I thought it maybe..
wish Htc would let on sometimes what some of these do, I reckon there's the odd Dev or two sitting there sniggering about all the fake keys they put into the registry.
Yes, proper documentation would be nice indeed, and not just in HTC's case.

Most of them seem to have a reason... I wouldn't worry about a few stray keys here and there, they're not going to be a huge slowdown...

Problems after flashing ROM

Hi, does anyone else have a problem with the new ROM from T-mo? My calendar appts used to be announced through the phone speaker but now it doesn't anymore? ...Tj
Did you even check to see if it was enabled or not in the Voice Command settings?

Hi Tj. Did you do a hard-reset right after upgrading to the new ROM? I would suggest it if you haven't, it can clear up a lot of different types of odd behavior following an upgrade.
Thank you sirphunkee.. I will do that when I get home...Tj
