Got a very strange Exchange Problem on Hero: Calendar sync... - Hero, G2 Touch General

Hi all,
up to now my exchange sync worked without any problems. But now i have realised that the manual sync in the email app only syncs the emails but NOT the calendar.
Of course calendar is chosen under synchronization options, but the manual sync via mail app will not result in a full sync with mail+calendar as in the past.
This only works if i go to the sync options and choose "sync now". Then everything will be synced correctly.
What could be the reason for this? Why did this problem suddenly occur, when it worked fine at the beginnig?
i also tried deleting the account and adding it to get a complete new sync, but on the next update the same issue arised again...

Removing Outlook?

Hi all,
I've setup the Outlook Email to sync with my exchange server at work... however, it has syned my calendar and not emails (i only wanted it to do emails). For some reason, it's saying the details are not correct (yet it's capable of syncing calendar). Anyway, I've told it not to sync anything (so I won't receive them anymore) but how do I remove the account from my phone?
Thanks,
Amnesia
ActivSync
Strangely it's done from within ActiveSync and not the messaging app.
I found out after trying to setup direct push yesterday.
If you click the bottom right softkey in active sync and choose options or somthing(i forget exact item) you can change/remove accounts from there, and even change what items it syncs (calendar/contact/mail/etc) by just ticking and unticking them.
cheers mate! I'll give that a try.

Help with sync setup

Hello all, I would really appreciate some guidance on how to properly setup my syncing.
Today I sync my Hero (3G stock) with Outlook 2007 on my Win XP home computer with HTC sync, and also with my Exchange account at work (HTC sync -> Outlook on Mac via VMware). And of course the phone in its turn synchronizes with the Google cloud. And as an extra bonus I'm running Google Calendar Sync at the home computer. This goes for calendar and contacts, the mails I don't sync at all.
This results in having:
1. Multiple entries of every item, i.e on the phone I have one contact entry called "phone" and one duplicate called "Google" for every contact I have. Same for the calendar.
2. By syncing with 2 different computers I always gets some conflicts when doing the synchronization and I usually have to run every sync 2-3 times before it's complete.
Sorry for being unclear, would like to sort this out. How have you set it up? I thought about skipping the HTC sync at work and running only Google Calendar Sync, but it turns out my company's firewall is blocking this.
Well, no response here, but for further reference I can write down that I have solved it so far by deleting all "Phone" items on the Hero and to sync the calendar with Google Calendar Sync, and for the contacts I use a service called Soocial (www.soocial.com) which seems pretty nice.

[Q]Activesync - If I only sync email it works, but if I sync calendar the email stops

Hello!
I've really tried to find a solution to this problem on the internet without any succes.
I have Google Apps. Active sync works great if I only sync the email. If I choose to sync calendar and/or contacts the email stops syncing (but the calendar and contacts work).
The only way I've managed to get it to work is by selecting "as arrive" in the scheduler in activesync on the phone. My dataplan is limited so I only want it to sync every hour, but if I select "every 60 minutes" the email syncing stops working if I also sync contacts or/and calendar.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

[Q] Exchange ActiveSync

For two weeks this apps works fine, syncronising perfectly well with my MS outlook mail, contacts and calendar. 2 days ago I realised that outlook email has not been coming in through auto sync. When I (force) synchronise, I keep getting the message "Sync Prorocol Error" for the mail. I can send emails but cannot receive. The calendar and contacts are synchronised ok. I can sync other folders but not Inbox.
Anyone knows how to resolve this ??
I am confused, Are you syncing with a local Outlook or are you actually using Exchange Activesync to sync to a Exchange server?

I am trying to sync with Exchange server, via 3G or internet connection.
I've done quite a lot of search on the problem but there're not many clear solution. So I decided to delete the account (all mails, calendar and contacts deleted) and re-activate again (of course very tedious, especially with so many emails and contacts to sync). But so far it seems to solve the problem (not sure what was wrong), sync every hour and it's good. Have to wait for a few days and see how it goes.

Update
After two days (after deleting and re-activating account), Activesync seems to be working alright now. Mails, calendar and contacts auto updated without problem, both using G/3G/E/H or WiFi Not sure what was wrong

After about a week it happened again. No outlook emails coming in. When force sync, "Sync Prorocol Error" came out. However I can send emails and I can sync "sent item" folder but not "inbox". Calendar and contacts are ok.
Anyone experienced and found answers to this.

It happens again. no mails coming in from Exchange. So I had to delete the account, reactivate again, and all the mails start coming in again.
Anyone else having then same problem, know what is wrong and have a solution. Thank you.

[Q] CM7 exchange sync issues

Is anyone else having exchange sync issue in CM7? I've tried both stable and the latest nightly. Most specifically its in the calendar. It won't sync all of my appts. I know its not the sever itself as it loads fine on my vibrant running bionix-V 1.3.1.
Any thoughts? I couldn't find any known issues on this.
I'm facing a similar issue as well, e-mail syncs fine but calendar won't.
I've set everything to sync manually, no push and no automatic refresh.
Manual sync of calendar under "Accounts & Sync" doesn't sync calendar entries as well
I found with Exchange sync for Calendar, most, but not all, appointments sync. I found 1 that didn't sync no matter what I did. There may be others, but that was the only one I noticed. However, there seems to be another major timezone/daylight savings time bug where many appointments show up 1 hour before their correct time. For full day appointments, this results in 11pm-11pm 2-day events. It's not the calendar app, as syncing google calendars doesn't seem to have this issue, so it must be a problem with the Exchange sync. I don't use Exchange for email, but contacts seem to sync okay.
