Contacts transfer... How? - Click General

Hello guys, I have a HTC Diamond and I'm selling it becouse I boght a New, Fantastic and Excellent HTC Tattoo; now the problem is, how I can transfer all that I have in my Diamont into my new Tattoo? I mean contacts, sms, mms, appointments? There is a Possibility to do that?
Thanks.

You can transfer contacts and appointments through sync with a PC running Microsoft Outlook. First sync with your diamond then again with that tattoo... that is how I do. but regarding that SMS & MMS I have not tried yet

Thanks, I mst find a Windows Xp System cause in Windows 7 there's not Outlook Express.

I mean Microsoft Outlook not outlook express. I guess Tattoo can sync with OE but not by Diamond (WinMo). Winmo sync only with Microsoft Outlook which is part of MS Office. I am using Windows 7 PC and working fine.

syncing contacts on vario 2 without buying outlook for vista

On my old phone (Nokia) i could sync my contacts into Windows address book on my laptop. Now I've got the Vario2 and vista on my laptop the sync will only let me download my contacts into microsoft outlook- which I don't have and do not want to pay loads more money. How do i back my contacts up or get outlook free
I recently found a program called "PIM Backup". It allows you to back the data up to a file which you can then copy off.
Try looking here or off a similar thread for the download link -

Hi.
Have a similar problem
Using Outlook Express for Email and instead of MS Office / Outlook we use Open Office [its free ]
Found a link to connect O.E. YET to try it, but it is ...
http://www.reunion.com/site-root/download_reunionforoutlook.jsp
Also if you know of a calendar plugin for O.E., please post it
i use Jeyo Mobile Companion, brilliant for backing up contacts, sending SMS via pc.
Its different to some others in the fact that you compile the sms as you would an email but it sends it via the phone, so no internet connection needed.
Its brill at work, save "un-cradling" then reply/send sms then cradle, its all done with a swift alt-tab. heh
Alternative to ActiveSync
I haven't (yet) tried it but there is a project called FinchSync (http://www.finchsync.com) which claims: "FinchSync is a tool for synchronizing contacts, appointments and tasks from Mozilla email and calendar products with a Pocket PC or SmartPhone."
If anyone has any hands on experience with this program I for one would be interested to hear about it...?
you could set up a mail2web account which is push email and has a outlook style web based interface allowing you to sync everything contacts, calendar and tasks Did i mention its FREE. www.mail2web.com

Incase you are interested in giving them a shot also, the programes are :
[1] Mobile Master : http://www.mobile-master.com/ you can download it on cnet.com alsoo
[2] Funambol http://www.funambol.com/opensource/
Please Note : I haven't tried them as yet, so please take all required BackUp, etc.
Cheers.
You're using Vista? The WMDC will let you Sync your phone with your Vista Contacts - no problem - infact you should now also be able to Sync your mail with Windows Mail and if memory serves your calendar with Windows calander - all things that with XP you had to have Outlook to do!
EDIT
Sorry - seem to have spoken to soon. The beta version of WMDC allowed for Syncing with those programs - I always use Outlook so I haven't even really looked at those settings since - it appears that it was something they supported in the Beta and dropped from the final edition which is quite unfortunate! (probably just trying to sell more copies of outlook). A free work around might be to use Microsoft Live Mail e-mail client (Not Windows Mail) and then install the windows live messenger and set it up to sync your contact details with Live Messenger and then the Live Mail client should then have a synced version of your contacts - just another idea - sorry bout that!

How to transfer Windows Contacts to Wizard?

Hello, I am using Vista Windows Mail and I have imported all my contacts to it´s address book (Windows Contacts). The problem now is how to send those contacts to the Wizard. When I syncronize it doesn´t send any of the Windows Mail / Windows COntacts to the device! help please
Install Outlook, then ActiveSync/WMDC can sync your contacts to Wizard.
Man I have never seen a worst program than Outlook! I can´t understand how it handles data...

iphone contacts to leo

Whats the easiest way to get the contacts from my iphone onto my leo ?...i believe that 'my phone' can do the job but i thought there may be an easier way to sync them to it.
Try syncing the contacts to outlook.
Iphone contacts (mac) to outlook (micro$oft) i would not of thought it possibly...i will try though
Well, if you have a PC near by you it should work, since ActiveSync syncs up outlook contacts with WM devices.
I understand that...but active sync and outlook wont connect with the iphone

Hmm, I remember I made iTunes sync with outlook before. That was a when I had the 1st Gen iPhone.
Yeah you were right...its buried in itunes but it is possible, i just dumped them to outlook, there is also an option to dump them to windows contacts but i believe that is reffering to windows address book in which case i am running windows 7 and that is no longer part of the OS.
Thanks.
No problem, I had this similar issue switching from an iPhone to a WM phone a while back.

I just set up my groupwise email account as an IMAP account (you could do pop3 too) and it works fine. For calendar I set up a rule for all posted appointments to be delegated to my gmail calendar and then that syncs with my phone

Unfortunately not all IT departments allow IMAP/POP with the Groupwise server (my company included)...so I'm stuck trying to find some 3rd party software that can sync my corporate Groupwise e-mail to my new HTC Desire....
Do you have MS Outlook at your disposal? I find that if I install Groupwise on m computer first, then install MS Outlook, Outlook picks up my Groupwise account automatically. Then I use Google's free calendar sync utility on the computer to sync everything from Groupwise to Google Calendar. Really, once you get it set up, it mostly takes care of itself. I have no further special knowledge however, I just installed it and it worked for me.

FYI, this only works with GW7 and Outlook 2003. The magic is done by something called Groupwise Outlook Connector, which has been discontinued for GW8 and does not support Outlook 2007.
I've heard rumours that GW8 installed over GW7 still retains the connector, and thus is able to work with Outlook 2003. Not sure about it though.
Hmmm.... I have Groupwise version 8 and Outlook 2007, and it's worked fine for me. I honestly can't remember at the moment whether I ever had the older versions of these apps installed on this machine.
