What did theyend up doing. Mine is pink to unlocked bootloader

its not a defect. dont send back the phone, its obvious now its jsut how the camera is. I dont really care that much (in fact i dont care at all) because im not a big camera person and when I do take a picture with my phone im not going to expect studio quality anyway.

Released a hot fix since they said it was a software issue...
Seems now it's not
HD2 issue: http://www.gsmarena.com/a_hardware_fault_causes_htc_hd2_*pink*_camera_issues_confirmed-news-1276.php

Try turning off auto white balance.

No change.

lol i just noticed on engadget review, in the photos they took with the nexus one they have the same pink tint towards the middle

so everyone's nexus is having this issue?

So the N1 has pink eye?
I haven't received mine yet...we'll see here shortly...

The hot fix fixed my HD2, i took several photos of white walls and it had completely gone but it was VERY clear before the fix.

Mine does it as well

Someone tell Google and HTC, lol... No seriously..do it.

I just submitted a support ticket to google. I suggest you guys do the same. I linked this thread in the ticket.

Good man.. I'll do the same when I get my phone, lol...

it seems like a low light issue, not as noticeable with bright lighting.
Could just be the camera straining the ISO to a point where it makes the colors get weird. hopefully they can hot fix it

My HD2 did it in bright light, but the hotfix removed the issue.

Screen issue? (LCD Mura?)

I just noticed this after looking at the screentest app, but on gray background I can see some lighter "smudges" or light spots near the middle bottom of the screen. I was hoping it was a smudge on the actual screen since I still have the piece of plastic from factory on it, but I don't think that's what it is. Does anyone else have these lightish spots, and is it something I should expect? I don't see any other issues like stuck or dead pixels so I thought I was in the clear. I can't see it on every screen and I have to really look for it unless it's a gray background like in the picture below.
I tried to highlight what I'm talking about.

it's called pink smearing a lot of users has that and it's still not clear whether it's a sofware or hardware issue

All the smearing topics I've seen involved scrolling and seeing the gray bars leave a trail behind them, this is a persistent spot on the screen that is just lighter than the rest on certain backgrounds.
This thread says he got the screen replaced:

also som3 said they got it when going to settings anyway as far for replacement
you can even get the phone replaced
Not sure what the first part of your post means, but this looks like LCD mura. Verizon said I have 14 days to get another one if something is wrong, so as long as I can get a brand new one in exchange and test it out in the store I may try to return it. I paid full price for the phone and it's going to annoy me every time I see it now.

yes you should replace it i would be annoyed 2 if my phone has that i mean if i pay for a high end phone i expect it to be perfect or has a few issues that i don't care for and plus i hate pink
I hate pink too, but this doesn't have anything to do with that. Pink/purple smearing is an entirely different issue.

Moto G with a small blueish spot on display

Hey guys, i have the moto g for about 3 weeks now. i am pretty satisfied with it, battery life is great, altho for some reason it kinda shortened in 3 weeks, maybe its just my imagination. Anyway the phone is awesome but i've just noticed a small blueish spot on the display when the background is white. Its not very noticeable but only the thought of knowing its there makes me a lil sad. Anyone knows if it has any importance ? is it going to spread or something ? I have no idea when this happened, it might have been there since the beginning. Thx in advance !
I have two of them, except they're white and only show on black backgrounds. They're called stuck pixels. No they're not going to spread. You can try to play one of those stuck pixel fixer videos from YouTube on it for a couple hours and see if that fixes anything, or gently massage the pixel and see if that fixes it. You can also return it and get a replacement.

He didn't say it's a single pixel, but a "spot". It might be something more serious. A photo would be enough to understand, if you can get one.

The anandtech review mentioned they thought was unique to their samples - it looked like bubbles in the gorillaglass or similar. I wonder if this is that?
http://www.anandtech.com/show/7586/motorola-moto-g-review/5
One unfortunate thing about the Moto G I was sampled however is the presence of two small bubbles in the cover glass. I initially thought these were dust, but inspection with a microscope reveals they are in fact inhomogeneities in the cover glass.

I had this exact problem with my Moto G. I sent it in for repairs on the 23rd and I talked to Motorola today and they said they are still evaluating it and couldn't confirm if this was covered by their warranty or not. Has anybody else had Motorola repair their G for this problem?
Sounds like it might be a stuck pixel, search on play store: Dead Pixel Detect and Fix (sorry can't post links) & if that doesn't work than its most likely a dead pixel...

It's not a stuck pixel. It is an issue with the screen under the glass in the way it was installed. It is a pretty common issue. Sometimes these spots will go away after use.

Dark spot on camera

I have had this phone for three months, and have taken care of the phone very carefully. Now this random dark spot appears on the none wide angle camera in photos and videos. I haven't done anything that I can think of that would cause this other than accepting this big update on my phone a week or so ago. Anyone know if it's defective, or something else like software? This is the Canadian Rogers LG G6 version. I love this phone and just got it no long ago... I have no idea what I should do, because it ruins certain videos or pictures now. Here's a video to show what I mean, https://youtu.be/31gP0E3hmwo
Weird - did you take an extended video of the sun? Also, I'm sure you already have cleaned the camera glass many times, but when you clean it, did you look closely for anything out of the ordinary, maybe trapped between the outer glass and the inner lens?

No, I always avoid getting the sun into my camera for the fear burning the lens. Only thing I can think of my lens getting a lot of light is when taking extreme zoom in pictures of leaves that were in the sun one of those zoom in clip on lenses. Though the camera was facing down on leaves and not towards the sun.

I will have to look at the lens again when cleaning, because I didn't notice anything before.
I just did another test while looking for dust on the lens with a soft flashlight and this spot turned into something else. So confused, because I don't see anything when I look at it. Here I recorded it https://youtu.be/ujwJEvfcQ44
I think there is something between the lens and the sensor. I would send it to repair.
I've the same problem few month ago, I just shake the phone because I thought it was a dust and the dark spot disappeared

Dark line on display

My 9T display when there is low light, the brightness is set to low and the image I see on the display is darkish I can see a vertical line at the right side of the display, is this normal or should I return It?
multiple users reported similar issues with low brightness, some said it's a rom issue but to be sure, post a screenshot or something and wait for others to respond.

Replaced the phone and there is no line in the new one, you should return It.
I don't have something like that on mine. Looks like banding to me, like on TVs. It can happen, it's probably not important. Screens aren't perfectly uniform.

So what is your question or is this just a statement?
From what I feel before and after this update, white balance issue seems to be fixed, photos taken isn't too warm anymore.

It was a statement officer.
I can see more improvement to autofocus, less over sharpening effect, better image quality when zooming.
One bad thing I noticed regarding stabilization magnets. They seem not to hold the sensor when using the phone. Lens makes a lot more noise [rattling] even though I'm not using the camera. Very annoying.
Not sure if it's a defect on my unit or something that this update caused.
I'll try to shoot a short video in a different thread about the issue.
new firmware already released in China ATD1 with more improvements
waiting for it in EU.

That was noticed by a number of people as soon as the phone was launched, it's annoying to have that rattle if you shake the phone but it seems standard and not a fault.

Yes totally aware about the rattling noise due to IOS. But after the update it seems louder than before. Is it due to the zoom improvement via firmware? Not sure.
In any case I think it should be easy to develop a tiny app to activate the magnets at all time (same as when opening the camera app). Might drain the battery a bit but that rattling is very annoying. I'm ok to trade 5% of battery drain to suppress the noise.
Those of you who got the ATCT fimrware update on exynos, can you try something out?
Pls take a pic of a white wall, indoor, dim indoor lighting, using night mode. Does it come out darker than it is or looks normal?
