my Cruise is running on yr 'LIGHT' rom too.
yr black widow is indeed fast, but i'm still having GPS problems on the both of them.
my GPS software (Mapking 2007) can't seems to load at all, but on the other the bundled Mapking R12 works fine.

Much more speed, memory hungry htc home Engine & touchflo installed ...

Nothing new basicly, except minor fixes and almost not noticable speed gain
So what's not inside:
Removed: Office, SQM, Transcriber, Windows Live, Welcome Center, IPSECVPN and some more stuff which IMO is unneeded ... the rom so far is stable.
Use the extrom from my previous rom which includes latest PIE 8.12 + Adobe Flash Lite, Windows Live Mobile 10.6.53.3000 (latest build to date), Repacked Office Mobile from this build + OneNote and a few more cabs which i think are needed. IN the rom removed many graphics but will include them as files
NK.exe customizations are work of sun_dream (hes nk.exe is fast) other stuff in the xip is ported from the original 23004 xip. Many thanks to sun_dream for the help with this rom (and any latest rom). For my latest roms i have removed SQM, and customer experience sh** in order to lighten a lil the rom and protect personal information to be sent to microsoft.
Try it on your own risk - it is beta build so you can encounter unpredicted bugs with it.
I want to thank to mamaich (still use hes tools in rom building for BA), bepe (BuildOS is hes work - a brilliant one, also the xip tools i use), in random order, sun_dream, childrin, mun_rus, Tuatara (constant help and support), helmi_c, itsme (brilliant perl scripts which were used for dumping all the goodies from newer roms), cmonex and a lot more people involved ... I appreciate your help

Fixed bug that PIE6 banner does not show on the homepage
Increased overall speed by at least 35%
Fixed graphics issues -in R5 when you install WLM the icons look like crap so i fixed the shortcut names, fixed powerpoing icon png file to more proper sized one and fixed the excel shortcut name in office cab to make it use the proper graphic. Added icons for all the apps included in the extrom - the proper png and registry are in every cab - the iconed apps are: adobe reader le, myphone, marketplace, Autodataconfig, remote desktop, facebook, google maps

Customizing Start Menu:
The icon entry in WM6.5 start menu depends on 3 things application link in
Code:
\windows\start menu\programs
(or subfolder), 32-bit PNG 45x45 transperency enabled graphic which will be used as icon in the new start menu, registry entry for setting the PNG to the link.
And to ellaborate a little bit more:
By default WM6.5 start menu detects any installed program link from

(and subfolders) and creates registry entryes in

, for example lets say i install skype for windows mobile the skype shortcut will be created in

. To modify the icon (which will look ugly because 21193 streches and zooms them) you will need a PNG file corresponding on the upper requirements and you will need to add simple registry line in the Skype.lnk key: it should be String Value and the name shoild be Icon, the value must show the path to the icon, i put them in windows because it is easyer (and because MS do it, it is possible to put them on the SD card but your device may crash on SD removal) so the path value should be

I also don't like the default theme, it looks like a basic info page and any wrapper over it should use this information to display properly.

First Let me say, Everyone has different taste. This is why we have so many different ROM's to choose from. Most all of the ROM's here are good and I find it just comes done to personal preference. Some people like black others don't, some like ROM's ready to go out of the box, others don't and want to configure themselves etc etc. I'm going to try to have 2 versions. Regular which will have a lot of things removed and can be installed through Preset Installer (Faster). And one preloaded ready to go after flash.
This ROM is made with some changes from the stock ROM. It uses the Latest MS builds and a few customizations. With some of my personal start menu organization. I like a clean start Menu. I have made some tweaks for speed and stability. I find that our HD2 is already plenty fast for any user so there is no need to cut up and gut out our ROM's to gain some small amount of unnoticeable improvement. I also like to give users the choice in how they like to configure there ROM which is why I use Preset Installer. There will be Many programs you can install from Preset Installer instead of having them built in. For some people it makes device more suitable if trying to use Chinese input to not include the WWE Keyboard, but have it available to others. The other reason is when using Extendir, every program that is installed after flash gains from the Extendir performance. I have added a few apps, and a few removed. You can load them from cabs found here on XDA or Through Preset Installer. Or let me know and I can provide it for you.

NEW Rom Online​
Which ROM is right for me?
Preloaded Version: Comes with most all software and apps and is ready to go after flash.
Preload is also a Full version of HTC Sense With all Languages included.
Preload also is good for users who wish to apply themes and or add and remove manila mods etc.
Regular Version: Rom is a light base ROM that can be customized to anyone needs through Preset Installer. This ROM is also faster because all the apps loaded after flash benefit from the Extendir performance increase.
Many of the stock and custom apps have been removed for installation through Preset Installer.
Manila is less than half the size of the ship ROM. More than 3000 files are removed from the windows folder with this version.
Manila is cfc compressed, and all Lang files except WWE are removed.
Manila mods are uninstallable, if you uninstall a manila mod you will have to reinstall manila again from Preset Installer. (Not a big deal only 2 min)

How to install?:
Copy the Extendir folder found in download to the root of your storage card. Flash the ROM as usual, Soft Reset, then go to Applications folder in Start Menu and select Preset Installer. When Preset Installer comes up you can click next and install the programs or utilities you want by checking the boxes for each program. You can Also choose from one of the Preset Configuration Like Full Install, Minimal Install etc. Then Click next and then install. NOTE: A box with a bold check will install automatically to Device, if it has a faded check this means you will be prompted for install location. This is needed for programs that require user intervention like FingerKeyboard etc. Don't let device go to sleep during install!!. Device will reboot after installation. You can remove any of the programs as needed from the Remove programs in System. I have made some new .cab files with shortcuts to my Start Menu folders structure. So if you try to use these cabs on another ROM it likely will not work. Read the install instructions inside the Extendir folder. WARNING do not copy or redistribute any of the cabs found in my Extendir Folder. I name them with LIA to distinguish them as being modified for my ROM. Some of these apps are proprietary and can cause trouble if posted somewhere else.​

WARNING 1: There is no HTC Sense or Manila going to come up after Flash. It is installed after flash if you want, with Preset Installer. Except Preload version.
WARNING 2: The New HTC Sense builds are still unofficial and there may be bugs.
WARNING 3: Perform a Hard Reset, and then a Soft Reset before running Preset Installer
WARNING 4: Read the Installation Instructions found in Extendir folder.
WARNING 5: Manila Mods will work if designed for the 2012 builds. They may cause problem if you uninstall them. See Install Instructions. The good new is you can reinstall Manila again if you have any issues.
WARNING 6: Read the instructions and this thread carefully. I take no responsibility for any harm to your device. Flash at your own risk.
WARNING 7: 16gb Storage cards are known to cause problems with newer TMOUS Test ROM's
WARNING 8: It is recommended to use one of these Radio's before flashing to prevent problems with Hang at HTC Screen. 2.07.50.27_2, 2.08.50.08.02
Known Bugs:
Theme not applied fully after Flash: If you get a default background and the LIA Theme does not seem to be applied just change to another theme and back to LIA Theme, then soft reset and everything should be ok.
Regular Version Only Screen Refresh after soft reset: If you see HTC Sense Loading after soft reset just tap the screen and see if it comes up.
Screen Refresh Issue:Start Menu shortcuts may not show until soft reset. When copy\cut and paste you may have to go out of the folder then back to view the file. This is a small issue due to the new Extendir V2 beta. Will be resolved in future version.

So you can install it from Preset Installer. I usually have my ROM's setup this way. In the future If I use Extendir driver everything that is installed after flash or during customization benefits from increased speed. At the moment I'm not using it but it also gives each user their choice of what they want.

Read on the first post. You have to take the folder Extendir included in the zip file and put it in your Storage Card root directory. Then it will work.

Yes if you install the 2 Thai Language packs. One sets the Wince.nls for add Thailand and installs the fonts. The other is a finger Keyboard with Thai input.
Make sure after install these cabs to select Thai from the regional settings in System.

The year of 2010, is a new era for me, as I have "progressed" beyond software development, and ventured into Windows Mobile operating system image development, or better known as "ROM cooking", encouraged by the availability of easy-to-use tools, and of course the friendly chef community in xda-developers.
dZenkinZ © Merlion Leo is my first attempt of the ROM building venture, for HTC HD2 Leo. The primary objective of the effort is to have a customized ROM based on my personal needs, with the emphasis on striking a balance between performance/stability and eye candy. So you may find that some of the included/excluded features not something you would expect of a "public ROM". Nevertheless, recognising that this is probably the first Leo ROM that's based on WWE (WorldWide Edition, i.e. English ROM) with Simplified Chinese display & input support, I have decided to share my work with you so that this provides an alternative to rest of the ROMS out there in xda-developers.
Although I have a full time job in a MNC, and probably don't need additional income stream to meet my daily living expenditure, but your donation, or your post of appreciation, will definitely motivate and propel me further in continuing to share my work with the community.

1. The device hangs on me when I click on "Sounds & Display" in the Setting tab.​
I am still working on this bug. However, this can be easily resolved by going to "Sounds & Notifications" in Windows control panel, tap on the Notification tab. You only need to do it once, and subsequent access to "Sounds & Display" in the Setting tab will not hang anymore. You can access Windows control panel either by going to "menu right soft key" in Setting tab, or clicking "Start > Settings folder"
Note: Since version 1.90 onwards, this bug has been fixed.

2. Can you be so kind and let me know how to change the Operator Logo Download? i.e. Where to place the clear logo?​
The logo file name is 256x64.png, stored in \Windows directory. As the name suggest, the image size of the logo should be 256 px by 64 px, with a transparent background. I've created a couple of logos for your usage, if your telco is not "Starhub" or you prefer to have no logo displayed on your home screen. Go to the download section, and download the logo zip file.

3. I just flashed to the latest ROM from Zenkinz .... but that is because I face the unvoluntary hard reset again.
The cited problem is not unique to my ROM. It affects most custom ROM, specifically when you flash a custom ROM after another. The cause, is believed to be related to the fact that the device storage is not formatted when a custom ROM is being updated to the device. The file residue inadvertently causes instability and therefore the recommended corrective step is to format your phone storage using the mtty process (not to be mistaken by hard reset, which is merely clearing your phone storage to the default ROM image)

4. Can someone please tell me how to install this ROM? I downloaded it and extracted and only see a NBH file
The downloadable package only contains NBH file, which is the image of the ROM that's to be flashed into your device. You need a ROM update utility (RUU) to flash the downloaded image. i1magic has summarised the steps to flash the rom very well, and you can reference from here

5. Can you please tell me how to add and replace a few icons for my extra programs. Where to copy your new .png on my unit?
First of all, download the extra icons from my iconpack (see the download section). You can copy all the icons, or just the selected icons to a folder in your device, such as \Application Data\Icons. Then use an icon changer such as CSMI or JWMD Icon Changer to replace the icon for your extra programs. I personally prefer CSMI for incremental change (i.e. just change the additional programs), and JWMD Icon Changer for mass change (i.e. change all the icons)

- This is my TRYIAL cooked GER. rom. I have tried to **** it, because I have never found a ger. rom for Opal with wm 6.5.x. With some matching, recommended from experienced users and chefs, man can cook a better and more stable rom, please try it and share then the cooked one.
- I tried to take most Packages from original Opal external packages, so the rom to be more stable and not to crash or freeze suddenly, replaced are those, man can take them from HTC Mega, for more M2D matching.
- The rom was cooked with Oskitchen Zero.
- Base rom is Opal ger. version,
RUU_Opal_HTC_GER_1.35.407.1_infineongsm 4.1.13.66_03.29.90_Ship.exe.
- UI is taken from HTC Mega with M2D v2.0.19191432.04 from
RUU_Mega_HTC_GER_1.28.407.4_Radio_Signed_61.41t.25.31_3.48.25.27_Ship.exe.
- It is easy to cook the same rom with M2D v2.0.20163224.00 from HTC Mega Asia version. You only must replace all MUI from german one. I have cooked it and it works too.

Flash Procedure
- Normal flash, then hard reset by screen calibration, until the Wi-Fi symbol appears, otherwise you will have problems with Comm. Manager, Home screen config. And Volume control buttons!
And that is the greet BUG, I can not solve it, turn off the phone can lead to the same Problem, I am not a cooker, also ask Chefs, they know all better solutions for that Problem.
- Comm. Manager will work without Wi-Fi problem after 1 or 2x turn off and then on. Soft reset can solve the problem, but not recommended when Wi-Fi ist OFF!
- Other Bugs, for my use, are not known, because I don’t use Internet and Mail, etc.
- Battery life is about 40%-50% a day! Or less!! Depends on Phone use.
- For those, who want to cook own rom, I can share my Kitchen, with pleasure, but it will take a long time to upload it.

i have replaced "cprog" with the one from build 23529, but the result was not good, it shows bugs too. Next i will search for a solution for all 28xxx. Build 23691 shows bugs too! i still have no new ideas, rom cooking is not so easy as i think.

Problems fixed with 4 Files. I have replaced them in the Windows build in the Kitchen, and all is fixed. Only one thing, the sound symbol in the enlarged start menu does not work, with this small bug man can accept the hole rom. New rom Upload comes asap.

here is my newst GER. ROM. It is WM 6.5. build 23549, 5.5.0. with M2D 19171723. The ROM is quite the same as the one in post 1, also configuration, extras and flash procedure can be taken from post 1.
Neu ist black dialer. Build 23549 is wie build 23529 without phonecanav. Bugs. Only youtube does not work, the sound symbol in the enlarged start menu is ok now, but it is a windows_Logo!!
