Mine's max 1Mbps, even if I'm very close from the router!
I read somewhere about a registry hack to increase the rx rate. Anybody tried and succeded?

My universal pocket pc always connects to ap with 11mbps.I want to get it 1 mbps and it may extend the range. pocket pc transmit power is very low do u know any way to boost it?
whats make your sure lowering the mb will inc your range
much like what makes you sure that you can find registry hacks to inc your power in the end of the day a device have a max of watts it can burn off it's antenna

I need a modified HTC USB Modem Driver that supports full Rev A capacity speeds, I am capped by the maximum baud rate of the modem driver. ICS app is very unreliable and disconnects me too much. I Much prefer the modem. ICS app does get full rev a speeds, wmodem.exe does not - this is due to the driver only allowing a maximum speed of 900kbits/sec under baud rate in vista/xp settings
has anyone got a work around ? I tried opening the inf file to see if I could edit it, but to no avail.

Anyone know if we can set the connection rates on the Atrix in Hotspot mode?
I noticed that its set at 54g rates when i connect to it, and while I understand that is even faster than the actual theoretical rate you can achieve with the 4 G anyway, was just curious if its possible to change the rates.

I've downloaded apps that claim to be able to change the WiFi transmit power, but they all required the iwconfig command to be available on the phone. Is there any way to change the WiFi transmit power on my Nexus 4?
I would like to lower the transmit power to the absolute minimum so I can have the WiFi hotspot on more often without it draining battery so much.

I find a way to verify if it works:
Turn on virtual router in windows, use Microsoft Network Monitor to capture wifi traffic, after it have connected, click an Association Request frame in a capture of Network Monitor, in the Frame Details window, expand nodes and note the value next to the node labeled MaximumTransmitPowerCapability:

Well normal download speed is same as before !
But Play store download speed had reduced 10 time.
Earlier i used to download from play store at 5 MB/s but now at 500 KB/s.
Even after coming back to stock ROM i am not able to get that high speed.
