PowerSaving problems on HTC Tattoo - Click General

Hi.
I've got myself a Tattoo about a week ago and are mostly happy with the phone. However, the last two days I've been comming in late for my job. The reason for this is the Tattoos power saving. When the alarm shuld go off the phone is just silent and dormant. When I unlock the screen the alarm goes off happily.
This seems like the same problem as I had with my HTC Diamond, where SMS'es was not notifyed until the user woke the phone up. The problem there coud be fixed by a regedit. But regedit is, of course, out of the question on a Android
Do anyone have a this same problem as I have, and does anyone know about a fix. I've checked HTC.com and there is no official patch for this.
Best Regards
Tommy

New phonealarm on kjam. Stay away from it

I downloaded the trial of the new phonealarm, the one that supports wm5.
It worked fine all day until I had to reset my kjam. Since then my phone won't respond to anything. Now, I'm trying to uninstall that darn thing.
So, just wanted to warn you all to stay away from it.
Cheers
No problems here been running it for over a week. There is a known issue regarding the location service that is posted on the site that will cause this. As long as you don't turn it on under settings you are fine.
thanks.
I am running version 1.3.01 since three days both on my Jasjar and KJam.
Absolutely no problem.
Regards
I have been running it on my KJam for weeks (including betas) and it is great!
I tried the beta a couple of weeks ago and found it slow'd the today screen down too much, plus other things so I took it off.
Then I installed the new release hoping the issues were fixed, and the today screen is still very slow at displaying phonealarm (probably due to WM5 than the app). When changing settings like volume, the slider moves but the number in the line you are modifying doesn't change until you click another line. It can't handle screen brightness.
And it doesn't do anything to the alarm clock function, so you'll still need another app to have a useable alarm clock. Surley, a piece of software called "PhoneAlarm" should be able to handle all "alarms" on the phone??????

Why ??
phoneAlarm is intended to alarm you, when you have missed calls and missed messages.... not to wake you up in the morning
working great for me too been using it for quite some time but the newest wm5 version works like a charm!
Auto WLAN
I have tried to use this APP to turn the WLAN on when switching into certain modes like home and sleep. For some reason it locks up the WLAN application on the wizard. Has anyone else had this problem?

Frozen clock in homeTab

Hi, i've a tf3d bug on all my rom test (so it don't come from rom themsevlves), the home tab clock froze, i think it come from changing tf3d with diamond tf3d config, changing it from english to french or modifying time display, it don't come after a specific action but i wake my hd i see that f*****g frozed clock, everything else is working perfectly fine, and reverse to english does not make it work again. I've tought of a time format (12/24) bug but playing around with settings and soft reset doesn't make it. So if someone got an idea ? thanks.
PS:Could it be possible to have an Q&A sticky for this kind of question and for noober one ? because i'm thinking that the thread is going to grow a lot when i see how many noobs near me buy this phone without knowing anything on WM, it's not a problem if your not lazy (search before posting).
damn i've got this as well. its been 11.09 am for about 1/2 an hour now.

I get this too, but rarely.
I get this too from time to time, on stock rom
this sometimes happens to me too.
It's happens to me as well, do' have a solution yet, damn
I've noticed this on mine. I swipe the screen up to give the "standard" digital clock view, then down to show the tabbed clock. clock then runs as normal. not perfect but a quick fix
I got the same problem also on the stock rom.....ever lost 4 hrs as I was asleep during that period.
is there any patch for this yet?
Had a freeze last night on stock o2 rom. was almost late for work as my clock stopped at 0449 this morning. Had to soft reset as nothing was responding.
Im also using s2u2 which is not active when charging. Anything to do with that?
Anyone found a fix yet?

[Q] phone dialer screen scrambled issues

Hi all,
I have a T8285 (Telstra) HD with Dutty's 1.8 ROM, and the other day I seem to have lost my phone dialer screen {pictured below}. I've searched the forum and can't see that anyone else has had the same issue. I don't think its a ROM issue as it was working last weekend. I've also uninstalled all programs on the device and that hasn't fixed the problem. The only program left I can't remove is "darklord69 Battery Meter v2", could this have something to do with it? Any help would be much appreciated.
bump......................
I got kind of same thing with my stock ROM.
But at that time, I played with WVGAFIX3, and skyfire. I beleived this was the reason.
Since I use skyfire's last version (compitaible with the HD screen resolution) and so since I stopped using WVGAFIX3, I never got this again.
I ended up flashing the ROM and the problem is now resolved. might hold off on those HTC so called "hotfixes" this time round...

SOD - Sleep of death problem

I have a problem with Sleep of Death in WinMo. When i put my Mini in sleep mode and I'm trying to wake it up - nothing happens. Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?
Hello, did you manage to resolve your problem? I just started having the same problem. Hard reset did not help. I am going to reload latest official ROM.
I wait for your expressions after reloading ROM. I've hard reseted WinMo and even in Android - nothing happens. I'll reflash ROM after work.
I reaolved the problem on my mini by disabling htc lockscreen.
if u search how to disable it u will find it
PeGie: I re-loaded the latest shipped ROM (1.36). It works (so far). I'll add additional software one by one to see if there is some relation.
bruce2728: Thank you for the tip. However, I cannot disable it. I am using the device also for company e-mail synchronizing by using ActiveSync. The company policies force to use the screen lock and I am not able to change it.

if you disable htc lockscreen in the registry it defaults to the windows 6.5 one, so you will still have a screen lock
edit: forget lockscreen it happened again after a few hours

Seems to work but only a temporary solution.
I think the driver that controls the power button goes to sleep when phone in standby
I'll investigate tonight and report back if I have any succes
Guys, thanks for help. I tried today to turn off lockscreen, but it doesen't worked. I'll try to figure it out tommorow. I'm waiting for results of investigation of Sleep of death.
I uninstalled CleanRAM first and hard reset and I have no more problem SOD
(last 10 hours is normal) I do not know if I will again have the same problem, now works ok
HTC HD mini German ROM: 1.41.166.1
I mentioned that hard reset did not help. That may not actually be true. When I did hard reset then I immediatelly installed all my applicatiosn and changed all the settings I used to change. Some of the software or config change may cause the problem. However, it is strange that it began just few days ago. I was using the device almost 1 year without this problem.
Anyway, as I mentioned before, I re-loaded the 1.36 ROM today. Then I left all settings at defaults. I did not install any application. It is working correctly so far. I'll add app/config change one by one to track the root cause. It will take some time of monitoring but I need to identify the cause. My suspect #1 is my company security policy. That would explain the problem appearance beginning.
I already had some problem caused probably by my company security settings.

and to me it's strange because the last few days, so to say I did not use mobile phones, nothing new installed or changed settings.
I have this problem too. Since yesterday - started from failing to wake me in the morning. It's kind of weird, all of the sudden phone stopped to work correctly.
At last (judging by more people having problem as well) is not the hardware problem.
Anyone has any idea: this problem was known before, or it started in last few days?
I'm also having this problem. I've changed nothing on my phone since months and since yesterday it has this problem. I'm thinking of sending it for repair and wait what they will say about it.
I was using my HD mini for 10 months without problems. But today I was faced the same problem as you mentioned. I removed my battery and left my HD mini without battery for ~30 minutes. Then I put battery back and turn on the phone and everything works now ...
It sound really weird that this problem is popping out suddenly to a number of users, while before there was no symptom.. it would seem as crazy as a time-driven issue or something..
Before reading here, my 1st step would have been removal of lockscreen, then 2nd one going back to clean original installation, but looks like those moves are not of help..
Fact is that the only new software i installed is bsb tweaks whose changes may affect registry and corrupt system configurations.. do you all guys have bsb installed?
Let's try to figure this out together, missed wakeup and calls are really annoying, as well as removing the battery to make a phone call...
No, I don't have bsb.
And people are using bsb without much problem for the last year.
Some kind of millennium bug? Someone programmed end of the world in our phones?

i don't have bsb on my mini
I do not have BSB installed (actually, I have idea what it is). My Mini is stable 16 hours after ROM reload. It survived the night! I believe hard-reset would help too. I'll re-test hard-reset if I see the problem again after some app/cfg install/change.
My next step is to install HTC updates:
PHO03869.exe
PHO03880.exe
_HTC HD Mini_PHO03611.exe
Then I will install/configure (not ordered):
home WiFi - hidden SSID, WPA-PSK, AES, ASCII key
CorePlayer v1.3.6 Build 7427 - directdraw output
TomTom 7.916.9192 QVGA with one map
ActiveSync - for company e-mail
IMAP e-mail - for Gmail account
turned off HTC Sense
turnd off weather (Application Data\HTC\databases -> deleted the file forecast_cache.db, restarted Sense (uncheck/check in today settings)) - this is sometimes required to stop the weather to be updated from web
system settings change - bluetooth, regional settings, etc.

[Q] Time Issues

Hi guys and girls,
Been using WP7 about a week now and one niggling little issue is doing my head in. Sorry if it has been mentioned before or is covered under some other issue, I did try a search and got nothing relating to it.
My issue; the clock on the phone keeps jumping to random times.
I am using YukiXDA latest build and could find nothing relating to this isue there either.
Would like to know if others have had this problem and what have they tried to remedy it?
Is it a ROM issue or is it a hardware issue?
Okay, An update
This is happening when I reboot the device.
Is there something in settings that I am missing, or is there a registry setting I can change?
do you have your "date & time" settings set automatically?
Yes

Yes time setting is automatic, even tried setting it in the registry.
It got that bad yesterday my phone reset itself to Jan 1980.
It sounds like the battery *may* be ****ed up, I have no idea about the htc hd2 (I've only had mine for a couple of months), but on my old phone(s), some of them have had that "time resetting" too, and the people at the tech support said the battery needed to be replaced.
Sorry for hijacking your thread:
I have a similar error with my phone (yukixda v4):
If I send myself a text message at say... 01:35... it's sent 01:35, but the one i recieve has the timestamp at 01:34... this is both with and without automatic time settings..
any ideas?

Truth is no matter what is causing this... TWO big issues for me when choosing a phone software set up.
The phone knows what freakin time and date itis
The phone nor the software on should destroy batteries
but thanks guys it really was fun to play with.
Don't use automatic, mine does the same if I set to automatic.
I thought it was something with Giffgaff as I would set automatic and the time would be right but later on during the day it would be some crazy time and date.
Set to manual and your clock will be fine
dunno about any of that but, i do know that if i boot in to MAGLDR is gets buggered up, doesnt matter if the time is manually set or auto set, it always buggers up, dont boot to it and all is good
, at least for me anyway
I'm having the same issues. Time and sometimes dates getting screwed up. Only started happening to me about a couple of weeks ago now. But it's frustrating at the least. I've switched mine to manual setting at the moment. Gonna see how it goes over the next week.
One thing though, it isn't happening to my wife's HD2. She is using the older version of WP7, I'm currently on Yuki's more recent NODO version...
as per my post above yours if you use magldr or even the bootloader it gets messed up, so dual booting droid may be a reason, or using bootloader / magldr to charge, other than that i dont have this issue
Not got dual-boot on my phone, neither do U boot to magldr to charge... But it's happening to my phone every few days so far. Today it was out by 28mins. I want to see if having it on manual time/date does any better...
i also have a problem with my hd2,
9 times out of 10 when i reboot the phone the time and date will be wrong with no pattern i can spot (started to do this out of the blue- no updates or new roms).
im currently running with a cooked win mo image and android on the sd card.
battery still has a respectable life although seems to run out quicker than it once did so i may purchase a new one. (the old one is just over 12 months old)
also my phone has started to freeze on pin request after receiving a text so im gonna try a new image too
if anyone else has seen problems like these and solved them drop a noobie a helping hand pleeeeaaasseeee....
It's not HD2 related
The same issue happens to me (phone jump approximately 36 hours foward randomly)
The phone was a LG Optimus 7 on official rom but never managed to fix this issue (automatic date or not)

I have the same issue! It happened some months after flashing xboxmods v. 1.11 Rom. It can't be a battery problem because I use 3 different batterys ^^
