group SMS fix - HD2 General

I have just upgraded from Touch Diamond 2 and wow what a phone!!
I see this phone now supports group text by ticking who you want when you add recipient but it's limited to 10 contacts is there any way to lift this limit?
Dan

I remembered there was a registry edit that did this but a search resulted in nothing. Anyone?

For increasing the number of allowed recipients in group sms through default HTC SMS
Go to registry,
HKLM\Software\Jataayu\Messaging\MaxRecipients
Change from 10 to 50

Fine, work !

Tnx man

thanks alot it works for me 22222222222

Use BSB Tweeks.......the 1st MUST have!!
Use Cookie Home Tab mod with the CHT Editor.......the 2nd Must have!!!
Using both of these you'll find that most of your annoyances with your new HD2 phone will be resolved and both will provide you with functionality that you could of only dreamed of..
Have fun

I have the problem to send group sms to many recipients. Currently I have to add all one by one but Can I make groups to forward text directly. I am using group SMS but that is not as good as I have this functionality with TPC's ROM in Kaiser. I am missing this in HD2. I search on xda & on google but unable to find any solution yet. Please help.

Defaulting SMS reports on

Hey everybody,
I really miss the SMSreport feature from my old mobile phones!! Even though you can turn it on individually for every SMS you send, this is not really an option if you send a lot of text messages :-(
There must be a registry entry where you can change the default from reports off to reports on. Does somebody know what this is?
If other people would like this problem fixed, please say so in this or some other post, to encourage some programmer to look into this.
Thanks for any help.
Manuel
P.S.: To turn on the SMS report when writing an SMS: Edit --> Options.
Hi There. I am really also looking for a fix to this anoying problem.
Perhaps a little app that does the click. A regedit or something.
Thanks alot
Alex
There are other threads on this and for the moment, at least, it is not supported on the XDA. I have looked and cannot find a registry entry or such. I have added this requirement to my 'possible development ideas' list
The only alternative I know which works is to use a special character string at the start of every text. This string depends on country and operator. For me, on O2 UK, the characters are *0# (thats a zero in there) so I enter it in the subject field (I set it up as one of my pre-defined strings) then enter my text as normal in the usual place. Other special strings I know of are: 111 for Fido and *noti# for T-Mobile US.
See here for more.
Sure... I used the search before. But in none of the topics there`s a final solutin.
So i thought I push this topic up again.
Technically a program or reghack must be possible...
Could somebody please figure that out.
Thanks alot
Alex

What registry to i change to text more than 10 people at once?

I cant find previous posts about it in the search function for the life of me!
I tried it from memory but i couldn't locate the correct value to edit.
Help would be greatly appreciated
The reason i ask is because i need to text everyone in my contacts list to tell them things on a weekly basis and sending texts to 10 at a time can be extremely tedious!
It's in BsB Tweaks mate - you can send to up to 50 at a time.
Or you could do the following.

SMS Status!!!

Dears,
How can i know my sent SMS status on my HTC Diamond 2 mobile??
(Sent - Received,...)
is there anyway to know that?
When writing the SMS, go to options- there is the option for a delivery report.
Sorry to hijack this post.
But I have just updated my phone with the official windows mobile 6.5 from the HTC website. For some reason I now can not set the LED to stay on until I have read the message like I used to be able to. The tick box is greyed out. Does anyone know a way around this?
SQueal. there is a regedit to fix this. get a regeditor,if you dont already have one and navigate to HKCU\Controlpanel\Notifications and find entry A877D65B…

Thanks codhunter, is there a registry editor on the phone, or can I access it through a PC one when its hooked up via active sync?
While I am in there, is it also possible to change the text message alert to something I want, I notice that they have removed this on the updates as well which is quite irritating.

NP. Are you using HTC messaging? If so there is no sent message notifiactin and it cannot be added. Only ROMs that use PocketOutlook can have the sent notification.
could anyone tell me what are the changes that this makes? from what to what? Many thanks...
what changes? the zip file contains a registry change that is needed for mms pictures to show fullsize rather than as thumbnail size due to o2 not recognising the phone type properly
sorry should be more clear... what value to what value eg reg value mms 3 to reg value mms 5

Here, this is what is in that settings file. Basically when you do stuff on the phone/network, the network looks up a profile for your phone, , what it can do, etc. When the hd2 shipped, it seems there wasnt a profile available, so it used the touch profile (or something like that, i forget what the default was in my registry)) which didnt work corectly.
Personally i've been using a combi profile for a different phone i found from elsewhere, which worked, but It seems there is now a profile available for the hd2.
You can see the hd2 profile if you like,

SMS Listener : phone is saving all incoming SMS txt in built in folder

Was going through my Tmobile HD2 and found a folder called SMS Listener under My Device/Temp . When I opened it , there was every txt I had received since I had purchased the phone . I have not done any master resets since date of purchase. Honestly this was kinda scary . There was alot of incriminating txt . Is there a way to prevent this?

Is this a US t mobile HD2 your referring to?
I'd imagine theres a reg entry you could change but I have never encountered this before......
Hmmm....
can't find any such folder on my UK HD2. Must be a tmous thing.
I found it in the registry did a search on the net . It is some home connected to SMS wakes up the phone when there is an incoming txt. But why is it saving it to the main memory in the phone using Word mobile word document .docx. How can this be disabled without turning off sms. ?
