There is no solution for this.

Is "HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd and change DeviceLockWhenSuspend to 0" not doing it??
Is the lock a part of SENSE?

Speaking personally (and unless I am missing the spectacularly obvious - which is always a possibility) this key doesn't even exist in the registry of my device.
I also have a sneaking suspicion that it may stop the slider as well and I'm happy to keep that. I just don't want to have to enter my damn password evety time...

I dont use S2US and I dont have this key in my registry of my HD2. Any other registry hack?

The one from tboy2000 works for Windows default screen lock. Thank you!

SSMapA
yes, people, use ssmapa, you can change click link location to any other one.
Thank you.
Works like a charm...

[Q] Is it possible to make the phone stay in a fixed orientation?

As the titlequestion says, is it possible? I want my X1 to stay in landscapemode, AT ALL TIMES.
Registry, hack or impossible? All answers accepted
Um... I won't be of much help here, because I don't know how it was done, but i heard it was possible. So keep searching .
Start->Settings->System(Tab)->Screen->General(Tab) Screen Orientation Portrait/Landscape Dunno if permanent until you change it.
Yes, it's possible using mortscript. Then one would wonder, why would you want that?
Easy thing:
Get Schaps Advanced Config tool. Go to the setting where you can set the display orientation. Set 270 degrees to "True", 0, 90, 180 to "False".
The slideout will no longer rotate back to portrait now.
Keep in mind that other tools (AEButton, QuickMenu) can still rotate the screen if they want.

Scenario: I type in an adress in Opera, and slide in the keyboard; - the phone changes orientation (to my irritation). I have several other scenarios that (certainly) only annoy me..

You've been very helpful, and I thank you The ultimate would of course be to find a registrysetting that cancels the whole orientationchangethingy, but this will absolutely help.
... X1 is really a device for me. by now I have changed EVERYTHING to my liking, even this
And i want to add that you can asign a button to do that, i mean one of the to button in config, the soft button the ones that we used to hard reset phone...

How to turn off screen off on call?

Hi,
Wonder if someone can give me a quick answer to this problem...basically when I make a call the screen automaticaly turns off after a few seconds until a hardware button is pressed...is there anyway to turn off this feature? Just that I want pocketshield to completely control the way the screen turns on/off during calls? A registry edit perhaps?
Thanks
HD Tweak (http://montecristoff.webs.com/hdtweak.htm) will sort that out for you. It's one of the first options.
hi,
look to this prog,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=488991
have fun
I've got HD Tweak but changing the settings for sleep to off doesn't make any difference.
Also have Touch In call tweak - its a good program but would prefer not to use too many programs and if pocketshield can do the same thing I'd prefer that.
I'm using Duttys 6.1 ROM is this anything doing with HD tweak not working? Does anyone know the registry key to change the screen going to sleep on making a call?
Thanks

Use your registry editor regedit.exe, should be one already on your rom. If not on your apps list try in /windows

will this tip affect only while on call?
thx
I use:
Touch_InCall_Screen_Tweak v1.1.2.CAB
When holding the HD vertical the screen is dark en doesn't react to touching.
When you hold your HD horizontal the screen is active and can be used as normal.
This works only when a call is active.
Good luck!

dimmed screen while receiving message?

Hey Guys and Gals,
I have a small question and I hope somebody knows the answer.....
I'm having a Snap ans I was wondering if if could be possible by settings to leave the screen dimmed while getting a text....
usually it brightens up and turns on as soon as you get a message, but I dont want that
Is there somebody who knows, how to disable the screen from being turned on while receiving a message??
Thanks anyway for any reply/feedback
Regards Jeroen
i think that might just be part of the background sms process. i don't believe there is any hidden registry value to change it.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL]
"DisableSMSWakeUpEvent"=dword:00000001

[Q]Disable the lock screen

Hey Developers,
I know you are going to hate me because of this question, i know the lock screen of the mini is one of the best lock screens.
If I want to disable the lock screen or If I want to get rid of it in anyway...
is there a way? registry change?
I was looking for an answer in forums and only found a quick registry edit for the HD2. The reg value not exist in the htc mini.
thanks in advance
jhon
oh...
i guess this is tough one
[SOLVED]
you need to make the same reg key in the hd2 into the htc mini.
means:
in HKCU\Control Panel\Keybd\
you need to make the DWORD key "DeviceLockWhenSuspend" and the value "0"
oh...and dont forget the restart!!
thats all, works like charm!
right now, no lock screen at all!
it'is useful.when I use other screen locking software, such as S2U2,both them work, which made me very mad.
also u can disable it with bsb tweaks
