[Q]My P3450 Totally Dead After downgrade to its original dumpedROM - Touch GSM General

Hi,
I really need help seriously
Today I upgraded my P3450 to Onnyx Ultimate 4.8 and it was successfull.
Then I think again, I want to go back to original shipped ROM that I've backup before.
I do as mentioned on this page :
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Elf_HowtoDumpRom
I used the complete backup to restore the ROM. ( I made 2 backup files, first only OS and Ext ROM, 2nd All of them).
It run success until 100%, then the device reset, and after that it never power ON again.
What should I do?
Please, HELP, it is about one week I bought this PDA (
Thanks
Please Note the condition for the device :
1. With the battery inside, I plug in the charger, the orange light never ON. Completely dead.
2. There's no problem with the battery. I have friend who has ELF , I put my battery on his ELF, his ELF run normally.

Try removing battery than boot your phone in bootloader.
If it starts try flashing a shipped rom.

thanks for your reply, I've tried but nothing happened.
What was my mistake?
Before I upgraded, I've dumped my ROM. using the utilities as mentioned here : http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Elf_HowtoDumpRom
I made two backup :
* One backup with the OS and ExtROM only (for others to use)
* And another backup with everything included (for yourself only, for warranty or selling purposes).
After that, seems everything to be Okay, and then I did as mentioned in this post : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=445666
and then I flash Onyx Ultimate 4.8. And, I did it!!!
But then, when the device reboot, I saw a thin horisontal line on the top of the LCD. As I worried about my device, then I decided to go back to original ROM.
I did again this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=445666
this is to flash any SPL: either update to hardspl this way or flash another spl over hardspl. (copied from other post)
0. make sure your device is synced to activesync!!
1. Run the elf-uspl.exe from ELF_USPL_2.26.0000.zip
2. Watch Screen and Press Enter When Asked.
3. Screen should Jump to White on Phone and on PC Flashing Loading Bar will Show.
4. Stuck in Black Ducky Loading Screen?, check Active Sync Connection or Do a hard reset on Phone first. But be sure to do the last Actual Flashing in White Screen. Sometimes this needs a few tries to go through white screen.
5. Done.
Click to collapse
And I overwrite the .nbh file with the Complete ROM that I have dumped before.
Everything seems to be Okay, it uploaded 100%, then the disaster happened !!!!
The device went off, and it never get on again. Until now. I've tried many ways to make it On :
1. Remove the battery, and then plug it again, turn the power ON, and it still go off.
2. Remove the battery, plug in charger with no battery, try to power ON, still off.
3 Remove the battery, plug in the charger with no battery, push the camera button and reset button on the same time, nothing happened.
Please help me, I really frustated here What was my activity that could cause a damage to my Elf?
I've tried a repair man and he said that there's no J-Tag to turn on my P3450, I must change the machine to the new one....

Hi, I had same problem the other day just I could not power up my device after down grading, my device just rejected to work and went dead.
So I made the following steps then I was able to get it work in bootloader option only:
- Take the battry out
- Take the sim card out
- Take the memory card out
- wait for 1 to 3 minutes
- replace the battry back
- hold on the camera botton then press the power botton and hold it.
if it did not work, bring the battery out then replace it back then try press
the camera botton and press the power botton while keep on clicking the
camer botton, it should come to bootloader status. Wish you good luck.

Hi..thanks for your answer. I've done it but nothing happened. I really start to worry that my device really..really death.
When you're in that condition, did you plug the charger to the PDA while the battery still on it? Was the LED light up, green or orange? My problem is, there's no light up at all...no response

Could you make what happened clearer?
Did you flash an entire NBH image, SPL & IPL included, while using HardSPL?
Trying to replace HardSPL with a stock SPL has caused issues before.
HardSPL cannot be simply overwrited by a stock SPL.
Check out this thread to remove HSPL.

I think you're right on this one : Did you flash an entire NBH image, SPL & IPL included, while using HardSPL?
I thought I wanted to get back to factory default by flashing the complete NBH file, which include :OS, Ext. ROM, Radio, Splash, SPL, and IPL H3.
I run the "elf-uspl.exe" in the folder named "USPL_2.28.0000 with IPL_2.27", which I downloaded from this thread : http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Elf_HowtoDumpRom
(it was extracted from TOOLS).
after that I uploaded the complete ROM that I have backed up before. Actually I made two backups, one complete, the other only OS & Ext ROM.
guess my mistake is I restore the complete one.
If my device can not power ON at all (even when I plug in the charger, the light indicator not ON), can I still repair this?

htc will nt accept it ..but u can try with service centers..

There's one new fact I just found out today.
I have a friend with the same ELF as mine.
When I put my battery on his ELF, his ELF also can not power ON. But I still can charge my battery on his ELF and it shows 0% !!!!
I firmly believe that yesterday when I downgraded my ELF from Onnyx to its backup original ROM, the battery is still more than 90%, as I've checked it before.
Is it possible that teh conflict of Hard SPL and my original backup ROM drain the battery so fast? I am now holding my friend's battery, but I scare to put it on my ELF as I don't want to damage his battery, worry that there's some short circuit.
The other problem :
1. When I put my battery on my friend's ELF and plug in the charger, the light indicator shows orange light, sign that it is being charged.
2. When I put my battery on my friend's ELF and plug in the charger, the light indicator shows nothing, it is definitely OFF.
Any suggestion for my case?

Charge your battery in your friend's phone and try it in your phone ... and tell us....

Yes, it is charged and shows orange light on my friend's ELF.
But when I put on mine, the light doesn't turn ON at all. Seems that mine can not charge the battery.
I've tried this way :
1. removed the battery and left the device alone for a few hours - no luck
2. charged the battery using a wall charger - no luck
3. removed sd card and sim card and tried the alternative reset at this link http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index...ame=Elf_Resets using a wall charger. device booted into tricolor mode.
4. did the same alternative reset with a usb charger. once the device was in tricolor mode, flashed a cooked rom.
But unfortunately, there's nothing happened

sorry if i'm asking too many questions but what does the tricolor boot screen show?? (IPL/SPL) cause if the SPL is x.xx.cmon .. then HardSPL is still there and you would (probably) be able to flash another ROM..
is there a small "RUU" written the top write corner of the screen?? (written in white)

NOP, I am glad if somebody ask, means that there's someone who watching my thread.
The problem is, my Touch is not ON at all. totally dead. No light indicator, no power ON, just dead.
updated :
I have charged my battery until full 100%.
I did put on my device, holding the camera button while power ON, and still nothing happened. just dead.

did u try a hard reset ?? you can do it by holding the Call & End buttons and reseting with the stylus.. a confirmation msg will appear press the OK button (the large one in the middle)..
hope that will do you any good :S

I did hard reset, many times, but still can not work
I almost desperate thinking my dead ELF need some miraculuous to make it ON

hey bro i sent you my e-mail in a private msg so we can try solving this together in a better way..

Did you at least read the sticky thread entitled "Unbricker"??
If you cannot get to bootloader it usually means your battery is dead... or the device is fried. Try charging it on the wall charger for at least 20 minutes again.

only soln is to replace the entire motherboard
i did the same thing to my friend's mobile and it got totally dead
then i read that never to reinstall the original rom n never to downgrade your spl or roms
only soln is to get it repaired or replaced if under warranty by htc no one in the market can help u even htc will replace it they wont b able to boot it up hence if under waranty ur board will b changed for free
else buy a new one simple buddy ....

Need help!
I have been messing with this phone for afew days now can't seem to get it to work. When I power the phone on all I see on the screen is green screen that says "IU BUILD! Test Only" this ws the result of a hard reset. The device is sim unlocked but I don't believe it's super cid unlocked. I'm unable to do anything except for hard resets and bootloader screen. I was going to try to reflash the original rom but can't seem to find any, I only have access to the sp3 roms which I can't use since it's not super cid unlocked. Any help would be great!!!
iMate OEM ROM
http://rapidshare.com/files/61129896/SP3_WWE_2.4.33.11.zip
Here is a link to an iMate OEM ROM. Start in bootloader and execute this to see if you can recover your device. You haven't shared much about what you phone is or how it ended up like it is. You are correct that it needs an OEM ROM, then application unlocked then Super CID unlocker before flashing a custom ROM. Good Luck and report back you results.
The phone is a Krome IQ700. In bootloader mode it shows IPL 0.27 SPL 1.01.0109 Typhoon UI. Another problem is active sync does NOT see the phone. When attempting to load any rom I get error 264. I think I might have to load rom with SD the only proble is I've never had to do this before so any help would be great. I could honestly live w/o the phone but I think this would be a great learning expirence. Thanks in advance.

Remove the battery and memory card, wait 30 minutes then re-insert the battery. Hold in the camera button and then plug in the USB. If it is still alive, it will open in bootloader (Red, Green, Blue) mode.
still dead... what do you think happened?

I had this once when my oem battery died. I was able to jumpstart it and get it to recharge using a 9v battery to kick it up from nearly 0V.
If you have a battery meter, you can test the contacts, looking for 4v across the battery terminals (remove battery from phon to test). If you get < 2v then you battery does not have enouge juice to power up.
Once you get power back, do you have the ROM from your OEM? You should be searching for it in the mean time. If I find anything on it, I will let you know as well.
Everything I see on your phone specs appears that it should respond and behave like all of the other Typhoons/Sp3's. As long as you followed the unlocking steps from Karhoe's post (second sticky on typhoon main page), your device should not be a brick. If you recover power, you may want to first flash an WM5 ROM from one of the posts then try to flash WM6 as this is the prescribed method starting from WM2003.

Fully Dead Elf after flashing ONYX

I flashed my htc elf (t-mobile touch) with onyx ultimate, just over halway it froze, then my whole pc froze and crashed, the phone turned off and i havent been able to get it on since, no lights, no screen, nothing
PLEASE HELP
I have tried:
power button
soft reset
hard reset
bootloader mode
plugging it into my pc and my mac to charge it but still no power
tried plugging it into my pc without the battery to see if the orange light comes on
Any Ideas??
I'm not exactly an expert but I'd have thought attempting to flashing a ROM shouldn't break its power supply. It doesn't add up. You mention the orange light, but does it actually come on or not?
I'll assume you flashed a USPL or you probably wouldn't be getting past 3% in the first place lol.
strange one
yea, it was all ready to be flashed, it was previously on a geniric htc rom that i put on it.
there is no orange light at all, no nothing, i cant seam to work it out, i mate has the same phone and im gonna try his charger and battery when i see him tomorrow but i still cant see how flashing it would affect the power, unless the device is blank now and it doesnt even know what the buttons do e.g the power button is not assigned to do anything.
try with another fully charged battery... and ELF/ELFin Golcard method, with a suitable flash file (like a Original one)
Just my 2 cents...
Try put the battery with the camera button pressed..
i have had the same problem
pres start button and fotos together
will appear 4 colors and ipl ..... and spl ........
if its appear: ipl 2....... and spl 1.11.000 you must upgrade your spl

HTC P4350 dead after rom flash!!

Hello i tried to flash mine P4350 with at first Hard SPL , works fine after that place a custum rom, seems to works fine, but after a soft reset, NOTHING
even no LED activity. booting with holding camera button for 3 seconds, shows greens screen with ipl 1.08.0001 and 1.08.0001 and then is turns off..
IS this the end for the HTC????
Hello, ik can put a rom on the sd and boot it say illegal certificate?
Flashing from usb with romupdate utility says error 300 invalid update tool (rom update utility = 03.11.3.1)
if u are abel to get to the tricolor screen im sure you could reflash to another ROM (maybe it was a bad ROM/bad download) try flashing a ROM using the sd card (if you dont know how to flash from sd card search on it firs its all over the forum) make sure your battery is higher than 50%. well good luck.
Your SPL is not 4.0 or above. The HardSPL thread warns you against using the HardSPL on a SPL that low because it bricks the phone. You'll have to search for the Herald Goldcard method to revive the phone.
Other than that, this is not the right sub forum to ask those questions in.
Please I need help!!!
My rom flashing stucked on 80% over HTC herald and I had no other choice but to restart the phone and now its completely dead. tri color screen is not coming also.
Please help
I have 2 heralds which are having problems with turning on.
This is what works for me:
1) Take the battery out for 10 seconds
2) plug the charger into the phone
3) put battery back in the phone
4) press POWER button for 3 to 5 seconds
Try it few times - works for me fine, but not always !

Serious problems with (semi?) bricked HD2

Hi all,
yesterday a friend of mine gave me his HD2 for repair, he bought it from eBay with a ROM failure.
I never tried to fix / flash any HTC, so I read trough a lot of flashing guides and other peoples problems etc.
So I'll tell you whats working / what I tried / what I can do / what I can't do, in the hope someone can make sense out of this and help me
1) The phone has a strange behaviour in terms of the battery. It only turns on if I'm lucky. This means if I pull the battery out and back it and try to power it on, I get a light / weak vibration (and if I'm lucky) it boots into the states mentioned in point 2) and 3). If I'm unlucky on the other hand, it just stays at a black screen, but still gives me this light / weak vibration. Windows recognises the phone in this back-screen-state, but doesn't like it that much, since it wants drivers for a "Qualcomm MSM .... something" device.
The best way to get the phone back to book (in the possible states mentioned in point 2) and 3).) is to let the battery rest fro a little while and plug it back in ... or I spam the phone like quickly plugging the battery out and in and prey that it somehow boots.
2) The "booting" I was talking about in point 1) doesn't mean it boots into any OS. I attached a picture which shows the state of the phone when I try to boot it normally via the power button. It just freezes there at this pink circle and does nothing. If I'm not wrong it should show the radio version etc. in red in the bottom left corner, but we'll get to that
Things I can do:
3) I can get into bootloader mode.
4) I can flash HSPL 2.08 and 3.03 ... or it's stock versions however I like.
5) I can execute "task29.exe" which finishes its job successfully.
Things I tried (and noticed):
6) I tried to flash "MAGLDR" which also finishes successfully (according to the install tool at least), but does nothing on the phone, same screen as in the attachment.
7) I tried to flash the latest radio ROM (v.2.15.50.14 afaik) via "CustomRUU.exe", which get stuck on 96%. "CustomRUU.exe" later on tells me that the communication betweeen the host and phone failed.
8) The phone doesn't seem to be branded, yet I tried to flash both T-Mobile and unbraded roms and 2 different versions:
Code:
RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.48.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship.exe
RUU_Leo_S_HTC_GER_3.14.407.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship.exe
RUU_Leo_1_5_TMOUS_2.10.531.0_Radio_Signed_15.34.50.07U_2.08.50.08_2_Ship.exe
ruu_leo_s_tmo_de_3.14.111.1_radio_15.42.50.11u_2.15.50.14_leo_s_ship.exe
If I flash those with HSPL and the installer it came with it stays at 0% forever.
If I flash them without HSPL and the installer they came with they get stuck at different point somewhere between 8% and 10% and if I wait for 10 seconds, the progress bar turns red and a "!" appears at the end of the progress bar, the installer later on tells me, that this version is not for my phone or something.
If I flash them with HSPL and "CustomRUU.exe" the progress bar also get stuck at the above mentioned %-marks, but the progress bar stays green and does nothing for 10 minutes, after that the "CustomRUU.exe" tells me that the communication with the phone failed.
Some things I noticed:
9) While I was spamming the phone with battery I once got to a point where the charging LED light up for the first time in this whole process I went trough with this phone.
10) After point 9) I plugged the battery out and back in and powered it on via the power button. I got to the screen I attached below, but it didn't got stuck there, the screen just faded to black and the phone shut itself off. I managed to do this 2 times in a row, after the third try it froze again and I was back there where I was before (points 1-8 ).
This is it As you can see I tried a lot of stuff, yet I think I've overseen something and I hope you can help me there or got some other ideas apart from the JTAG'ing method, which shouldn't be an option for now, as getting into the bootloader mode is worth gold afaik, so we should be able to do something via this mode right?
Best regards,
SE_iCEQB
BTW: I can also get into the hard reset mode, but of course this gains nothing on this phone
EDIT1: Another thing I noticed, is that in the bootloader mode it says "SS-BC" in the top line, where on every other picture I saw of this phone in its bootlaoder mode, it says "HX-BC" or something, dunno if this is important.
The phone came with a german packaging, so I only tried the "DE" roms mentioned in point 8).
While I was searching for roms, some people said that I can check the S/N of this phone on the HTC website which I couldn't find ... is it gone or am I blind already?
SS and HX in the bootloader screen just means Samsung or Hynix, , two chip providers HTC uses. They do the same thing, and you can forget about that for now, you have much bigger issues than one chipset being slightly better than the other.
The pink on black screen is a splashscreen, anyone recognise it? winmo? android?
The HTC website started dropping support pages for the HD2 a month or two ago, , looks like its ancient history as far as HTC are concerned.
Qualcomm MSM,,, this is a bad sign, , it is what the bare chipset presents itself to the usb connection as when there is no controlling bootloader. (This is what tmous users get when they radio brick their phones). Quite an odd symptom to see in a phone that powers on.
From the various power / boot symptoms, it sounds likely that one or more of the following are true
1 - the battery may be low on charge, and if magldr is installed the battery wont charge until android is running (which of course it cant) so you NEED to get magldr off ASAP (if in fact it flashed)
2 - the radio may be corrupted, which usually manifests itself as flashes failing at 8 - 10%, or radio flashes never completing.
3 - The phone may be one of the unlucky ones that has/is cooked/cooking itself. have a read on the 'freezer trick' where you cool the phone down for a while in a bag in the freezer, then quickly flash from sd as soon as you take it out, so the chips don't overheat before its done. If this turns out to work, then the phone has hardware issues.
4 - The bootloader itself may be corrupt, but only slightly (just theorising now) or the NAND memory where the bootloader is stored could be starting to degrade.
Recommended way forward.
Assuming you have access to a card reader,,,
send me your IMEI and an email address, and ill generate you a Goldcard.img,
follow THIS to make teh goldcard and place on that goldcard the RUU_Signed.nbh (renamed to leoimg.nbh) extracted from, , lets go for the WWE 3.14 rom from HERE (Lotta junk in that folder, scroll way down towards the bottom, look for filename as below)
id go for
RUU_Leo_S_HTC_WWE_3.14.405.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship.zip
down towards the bottom.
(Thats assuming you want english? theres probably a DE one if you prefer)
SO, id try flash that from the goldcard, and report back.
(Note i'll be on and off all day, so don't expect an immediate response to your IMEI, cheers, oh and the .img when i send it will most likely get spam foldered, so dont miss it!)
I created a goldcard myself and tried the image inside "RUU_Leo_S_HTC_WWE_3.14.405.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2. 15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship.zip".
While flashing it showed me "RSA Fail" on "Radio_v2".
Any ideas? I'll try other ROMs till someone answers
Thanks,
iCEQB
EDIT1:
Trying "GER" Roms:
1 test) HTC_HD2_RUU_Leo_HTC_GER_1.66.407.1_Radio_Signed_15.30.50.07U_2.06.51.07_Ship.exe - "RSA-Fail" on "Radio_v2"
Ahh radio fail, bad news. I've seen it cured once or twice, by flashing the phones original rom, but I suspect those were exceptions.
I've also seen failed flashes take when you well chill in the freezer (card sim and battery out while it chills) and quickly flash on removal.
Also, just confirm you made a hd2 winmo goldcard, the free goldcard page at revskills is for wp7 and android phones.

Yeah I used the wp7 config. Is it bad? I mean, the goldcard works right?
test 2) RUU_Leo_S_HTC_GER_3.14.407.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship.exe - "RSA-Fail" on "Radio_v2"
I'm out of ideas guys ... will wait for you to create me a winmo goldcard image and try them again.
Last resort is the freezer trick. Or any other ideas on how to progress from here?
Regards,
iCEQB
EDIT: BTW, does HSPL need to be deinstalled for these goldcard actions?
Ohhh hang on, that img i sent wont work, silly me, its not the imei I need, its the Cid (unique serial, uid, goes by a few names) of the SD card. See the howto I linked ya for how to find it.(really easy if you have access to any other winmo phone, not so easy otherwise.)
Just shows how long its been since I thought about goldcards.
Sorry.
Which branded phone is this?
Brother even I have same type of logo when phone starts (pink colour circle)
Even my phone is bricked but I can install wp7 or android (only no network problem)
Can u guide me how did u solve this issue pls
Thanks & Regards

[Help] Is my phone briked?

So I kinda new here and searched for similar threads with the same problems as i got , so far no success .
Heres all my story :
I have got HTC HD2 not long and I have installed NAND ROM Andriod on it ( it was installed from the SD card )
Phone worked great and evrything was nice till yesterday when my phone touch screen had stopped working so i decided to install the same OS ( Windows Mobile 6.5 ) that i recived it with , to exchange for new HD2
So i have tired to install WM6.5 , here what i have done :
I have downloaded this rom : World Wide English (WWE) 1.66.405.2
from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623283
I turend the phone off and opened the Bootloader screen , connected the USB cable and run the .exe rom file
It have finished installing and and phone turned off after that i pluged off the cable and tried to turn the phone on but it dont turn on at all even bootloader screen dont turn on , cant do anything with it
as i understood its briked now ? or its not?
looks like i forgot to ActiveSync before I started instaling the ROM
and now phone dont do anyhing at all
Here's what i had before i tried to install MW6.5 back :
In bootloader screen : PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x30
R 2.15.50.14
and also installed DFT MAGLDR Bootloader at the end
and then loaded some NAND ROM from the forum
So now my phone birked? if no is there any way to fix it?
Do i still got Garenty on it and i can exchange it ( as my touch screen is not working and now phone dont even start )
What should i do pelase help me
Is it a tmous hd2? (Red end key green send key) if yes then yes its bricked, the radio in that non-tmous stock rom killed it. JTAG or new mainboard needed.
If no, check the battery pins.

Is it able to do off-mode charging? if so, leave it to charge and then take battery out, put it back in and try going into bootloader mode again.

I dont see the red light as it need to be when it charging
but let me try im 99% sure bootloader wont satart
Hmmm, so its gotta be either a power issue, a random death,(hd2s are starting to age, and they've never been totally robust hardware wise) or a flash that went so wrong it fried the firmware totally.(I'm guessing without rereading your previous posts that the drivers the PC tries to find are "Qualcomm cdma blahblah" or something similar? Often seen when a phone needs a jtag)
Only suggestions I can offer are
Battery out, USB in and on wall charger, and then put battery in,
take a really good look at the battery pins,
perhaps take a voltmeter to the battery
try another battery, try your battery in another hd2,
