TV-Out possible?

I wish it was not a fault because at this site i recognized that the HTC Touch HD has TV-Out. http://www.mobiletopsoft.com/devices/spec-htc-touch-hd.html. I´ve seen the TV Out function of the Touch pro and it was very exciting.
To my knowledge this piece of art will have video out...
And then why it is not specified in the HTC site?
http://www.htc.com/www/product/touchhd/specification.html
Yeb I believe it will has a TV-out function...

Which does NOT have a TV-Out.
A lot of sites think it has, but the one and only official htc.com site says nothing about it.
Besides that, if you take a good look at some of the videos, you'll see that there is NO TV-Out Program in the Programs window. So unless someone proves me wrong, the HD is not gonna have TV-Out.

Shame really
What, is this country specific? I have been assured that there will be a TV out function on this device. Apparently the only catch is the cable won't be supplied in the box and will have to be bought seperatly.
who assured you? HTC?

One of my friends reviews theses devices and he has been able to have a play with a pre-release. So No the assurance wasn't from HTC.
I agree though, its one of those things we just won't know for sure until its in our hands!! Although surely its only a software issue and with the HTC pro having TV out it seems natural that the HD will have it as well?

No it won´t. Why should HTC let the TV Out Function away? The competitor, the IPhone 3G, has a TV Out Function. So if it is only a Software-issue to let the TV Out come true, HTC would have solved this problem. Its a Hardware Issue! Can anyone look what Grafix-chipsets are included in the Diamond and Pro to compare both devices?
i mentioned months ago for someone to crack open the devices and find exactly whats different inside, that way you can see if its hardware. Of course they might have intigrated it in to the main CPU but i doubt that, because if they had done then they may as well have sold the Diamond listed as having TV out, since it would cost no more and be another big plus point.
My guess is that the Pro will have a seperate chip to decode and output to compersite.
Not surprised
Hi guys!
I've read alot of reviews before buying HD and I was sure that it doesnt have this particular feature.Touch Pro has it and Hd dont its not that HTC forgot to put it there but its simple marketing strategy. HD has its own set of features which pro doesnt and vice versa. Hope my theory is right.
Cheers

[Q]Is possible to port TV-out from HTC Touch Pro to HTC Touch HD?

Could you tell me is this possible or not?
Soft will support, but I'm not sure for hardware.
Could you tell me how can I do this or where I can find help?
i read blackstone´s hardware is the same of htc raphael,
precisely, and i read on one of the review comment is that probably the hardware on hd for tv-out is there.
What I have to do port TV-out to HD
Intresting thread, I will have a look at the Touch Pro rom dump to see if I can extract TV Out from it.
I will be grateful
hi, should be good! I tried the tv out cable from mine touch pro but nothing happened on my HD screen!
I tried the headphones from the HTC Diamond in the HTC HD and it says it would not work. I installed the driver and now it does. Could this is also be the case with th TV out

I don't believe this keeps popping up.
Somewhere on the forums, a HTC-Source confirmed the Touch HD would need different hardware to support TV-Out. It's not doable by software, according to HTC. If it would, they would have included it, just like the Diamond (which is assumed to have the same hardware as well..).
hi, just received this cab.
I have my tv out cable at my office so I couldn't test it yet!
TV OUT
Cool test it and let us know!! I looked for the cable and it seems to be on back order.

I'm not sure. I did read that about the Touch Diamond. The HD has the same 11 pin usb as the Pro.

tv out through micro usb like htc incredible

i see a video showing htc incredible using the micro usb as a tv out ,is this the usb method for viewing tv out like pc ,or it is connected specially with the snapdragon to do this ,as if it is using usb method for tvout like in pc we could make use of its drivers for hd2 , but if it is connected specially to do this like tp2 ,we will start from zero again

Can we have an I/O thread to talk about all the particular things being announced? A major thing the emulator folks will love is the usb host capabilities with the Xbox360 controller.
Cant believe still no bluetooth mouse...
I have tried to update mine over wireless with no luck. Does it have to be connected to the verizon network?

Is it possible to emulate or virtualize such hardware?
For an example, my Realtek HD audio chip on my motherboard doesn't support Dolby Digital Live traditionally (lacks the hardware chip). But it can instead use the CPU for this task with proper drivers.
