My HTC Touch doesnt support any kınd of screensaver somehow and ım curıous ıf there ıs anythıng whıch ı could use for ıt... ım consıderıng for anımated gıfs gettıng on after few mınutes and any kınd of gesture does dısable ıt quıck.
Is thıs already avaıble? If not, ıs anyone able to create somethıng lıke thıs? I guess ım not the only one lookıng for such app

There may be something out there, but S2U2 is the best option. You say S2U2 takes your RAM? The Touch has tons, so you must have something wrong there. Either way, an animated screen saver will drain your battery and consume some memory, but not much more than S2U2 would.
As far as ı know does the Touch "only" have 64mb RAM and many of ıt already goes away for SPB mobıle shell and plugıns lıke battery status etc...
Addıtıonally ı dont lıke the s2u optıon because the HUD annoys me and ı dont lıke to slıde somethıng always.

Let me clear up memory question..............
Latest model HTC Touch Enhanced P3452/ Elfin GSM model has 256mb ROM + 128mb RAM
Older Original HTC Touch / Elf has 128mb ROM + 64mb RAM
So older Touch has just half the memory to play with. My 128mb Ram HTC Enchanced has about 68mb free running Mobile Shell and Pocket Plus so an orginal Touch would have hardly any memory left running these apps.
Correct! Thats why ım lookıng for a Gif screensaver whıch dırectly reads the gıf and dont save the whole amount of subpıctures ınto the memory lıke s2u does...
No answers? Is thıs such hard to do?

Every mobile phone I have owed in the past 4 years can display a animated Gif as its screen saver. But none of my Pocket PCs can do this simple task and I was very happy that S2u had this missing feature. I think the reason you have had no reply is because what you want does not exist. I spent ages looking for screen saver software and never found a thing. That was about 6 months ago and I dont think anything has changed except for SU2.
Hmm weırd! There ıs almost nothıng ı dıdnt found for my PDA S: I cant ımagıne that ıts that dıffıcault to code a sımple screensaver

pcarvalho's 21222 .... the best for now.
Have not tried pcarvalho's 21222 yet but the pdaviet with 3D is great.. No much problem except Opera not working. Have to use Opera mini instead..

But, +1 for PDA-VIET, have used their 6.1 roms for some years, and they've always been great. The 6.5 one looks like it has extensive customization done to it, you might enjoy it.
It depends on what you want. PDA-VIET is a clean rom not many apps on it good if you want to start fresh. pcarvalho's has got loads more apps and has been customizated.

In my mind pdaviet is more customizated...in pcarvalho`s you must add new folders to the startmenu (like tools, internet etc)
pcarvalho has more programs but the taskmenu icons are from wm 6.1
pdaviet 21502 has a stupid dialer....so i flashed back to pdaviet 21501...its the best for me....
But both rom`s are very good.....and we hope for more...
so you must decide by flashing both roms to see what you want....
fast and stable are both.....

I really do prefer pcarvalho. It's lightning fast, well finished, more up-to-date and really works.
I prefer PDAVIET ROM because its light ROM, without many unneeded programs...

But i dont need these programs : Opera, ZIP, YouTube, JbedJava, Footprints, AudioManager, AudioBooster, WindowsLive, GoogleMaps....
I dont need it cooked it in ROM... I like e.g. Google maps but i prefer to install it. And if it it newer version, i can upgrade with this new version...
And i like radio version 1.65, because i have with this version GPS fix about 15 seconds, i can call promptly after press green key etc...

I get around 101mb free storage and around 42% free RAM after a fresh flash of PDAVIET. It is rather strange because PDAVIET seems to have about the same amount of custom programs as your ROM, but a few more games and tools as well.

how much free space you have now, what app you consider needed...
i already know what you didn't like cause you posted in my thread...i would like 2 know what you like to install and how much storage and free ram you end up with...
rom version 4 that radio is in the works, i get 20secs gps fix...so id say its pretty okay (less than a minute is good)

Well from memory, it was around 100mb for storage. From memory, at first startup, the HTC Task Manager says 58%, so I assume 58% of the RAM is used. Although this may not be accurate, but currently, at first startup, it results in 58% used RAM according to HTC Task Manager, with the usual startups, plus TouchPal and G-Profile service.

some people said that 85Mb is still more than enough to play with on average daily use, but yes i am myself a fan of superlite rom

Me too.
It depends on what is intended as the average daily use. For me, with just pocket informant and sms chat, the average ram used exceed 85% after few hours. I let you imagine what happens when I open opera or something big.
My 2c? Expecially with MS operating systems, RAM is NEVER enough.

your today screen is just like wm6.5 if i think of it your all wm is like the wm6.5
(but with no touch screen)
users are tring all day long 2 get there devive 2 work like yours
anyway as for nav app i know tomtom have a Version 4 sp - smart phone (no touch screen )
windows mobile standard
as 4 your today screen googe 4 SBSH apps (apps 4 SP)

Yes, the home screen is like 6.5....but there's no buttun to change the panels
In the center there's something like a touchpad button, as the lateral Joggr in the Excalibur. I found a small HP Cab to choose the settings for that pad yesterday and now is better EVVAI!
I'd like to custumize the home screen, maybe it's possible to chage the icons or stuff like that.
Is really a good device, but now there's just 79 mb free storage on 256 mb.....that's a problem!! Why?!?
For the gps: I'm using Garmin XT, on COM 7 but no fix....what I have to do?
The camera program....it's pretty much difficul to use the digital zoom but I guess that it's possible to use the custum HTC program....I have to try it-!

if i had such device first thing i was looking 4 was an app that will get me a pointer like a mouse (like the sumsung i780)
this way u can use the sensor u have 2 work with ppc apps(wm pro)
the sensor u have is like the ipaq 800 (data messenger) on hp rom (not vodaphone) they have such mouse meybe somone with ipaq ipaq data messenger can extract it from the rom (i had the vodaphone ver)

first,530=voicemessenger
second,what i made the rom,wm6.1andwm6.5 are also multilanguage,include 0409(US English)and 0804(chinese)
there's two way you can use it in english
first way is flash the rom,and forrow the steps:
when the rom bootup,you can go to start-setting-regional settings to change it to english
second way is to do quite easy cook by the rom:
extra the rom and edit the default.hv&user.hv
change the system language to english(SysLan=0409)
i was busy on cooking DataMessenger rom and Treo pro rom,so haven't so many times to help you do it.
if next month onbody did a wwe 6.5rom for yous.i will do it for you.

the wm6.5 rom which i made was not really a 6.5 core
voicemessenger's xip part is so strange,if i cook it and flash,it will can't boot.
so the wm6.5 rom is only contain sys part update.

I have the HTC Diamond vodafone edition, and i got tired of the all white and red touchflo 3d theme. So I googled a lot and found the Diamond TF3D Config application and a black theme. I installed both on my HTC and it seems to work pretty well!
Thats the sunnyside of the story. I found out that installing this 2,3 MB black theme, coasted me 15 MB on my device storage.
Is this normal? Is there a way to get back these precious megabyes?
Is restoring the old theme going to get back theme MB's?

its normal. just bear with it. I have a tmobile handset with ugly pink TF3D but dont use it. waste of RAM and SPACE!
why not just flash a new rom with a decent theme already on it?

install 576mb radio and look for available RAM ~ 450mb
install 448mb radio and look for available RAM ~ 330mb
it's true! but some RAM is used by System
to disable it, just flash radio that don't support 576mb radio
is there any way to fix the problem, though? seems to me that photos and opera shouldnt be enough to fill the memory.

this is the Opera 10's bug i think
i dunno. i personally cannot replicate this with opera and photo
Can't replicate with both Opera 9.7 or 10. I can load them and open a photo without any issue.
It may be a bug in your rom?
I even loaded both opera, youtube app, google maps, copilot 7 and tomtom, and i still could open a photo from the photo tab without a hitch...

I only quoted Mr sternas who making the best ROM on this forum in my opinion, so I'm sure that he know that things
This is an Opera 10 bug... The workaround is to open Albums BEFORE opening Opera 10 and after that you should be able to open Albums WHILE Opera 10 is running...

you're probably on a ROM whose Chef has chosen to differentiate their ROM from All the other ROM's whose Users actually benefit from the 576MB RAM that's there...
How do ALL the Chefs who Enable 576MB on their ROM's know this is NOT a trick? (Aside from the fact that there is nothing changed in the Registry to "Show" 576MB)
We tried creating a Pagepool of 448MB (on 576MB ROM's that's what's left after the 128MB is allocated for the Graphics etc.)... As you know, increasing the PagePool decreases available RAM...
by increasing this (PagePool) to 448MB, the ROM should not even Boot if the 576MB RAM is a "trick"... but it did boot... slowly and sluggishly... but it booted.

What i say is i don't have any issues with the 576 enabled rom i am using, not that i am using all that memory...
I know that even filling 448MB with normal use is nearly impossible, so 576........
But i just say i don't have the mentionned issue...

Just to confirm there could be something weird going on with Opera 10.
If I have Opera open, and I try to start g-alarm, it won't pull it off because of "not enough resources", which cannot obviously be the case.
