problem with wifi and bt! - Touch HD General

hi all,im hoping some one can help!
the ear speaker stopped working on my hd so i took it in to a local shop to have it repaired but since then the bluetooth will not work and the wifi has to be next to whatever its connecting to to get a signal!
any ideas?
thanks
alex

I would hardreset
and maybe try another rom
and if non of those things worked
I would say the antenna inside had be damaged
as it would explain the poor range

i have upgraded the radio and put a new rom on it.
is there any way to check for damage?

Sounds like a damaged antennae. :S

Same with me... aehh my Blackstone)
But: I changed my Display and Digitizerboard (Digitizer was failed)
I think there are Antennas within the Chassis, if it not mounted correct, Bluetooth and WIFI fails.. :-(

Problem with jasjar

Since imates support is terrible ill post my issue here to see how i should proceed.
I got my jasjar in a few days ago and its never worked right. The speakers and mics on the phone would cut in and out and sometime not work at all. Ive had to use a bluetooth headset (the wired headset port also works) mostly because I *need* a phone for work. I mate told me to flash the device with the recent firmware (also does anybody have a link to a one more recent than on imate site?) cause I might be missing files but that didnt help.
Is the phone just broken? In which case ill have to keep having to putup with imates crappy support to try and get an rma
Im still a little cheesed about the frequency difference for 3G in the us

Qtek 2020 headphone connector broken :(

Hello all,
My Qtek 2020 (Himalaya PH10B) fell on the floor with the headphones on, and the mini-jack for connector for the headphones broke inside it.
I successfully opened it, and I was able to see the damages. I can see only 6 pins that connected the mini-jack plug to the main board, and it seems that there could be a seventh that got broken...
Would anyone of you know of a closeup picture of this headset plug/connector ? Do you know if it is possible to find a new one ? If not, mine looks reparable still, but I would feel reassured if I knew the exact connection here
Thank you in advance for your help.
Cheers

Thank you for your answer Rudegar,
I re-soldered the connector, and I realized that a pin was indeed missing. I actually found it freely moving inside the PDA, but I could not solder it back to the connector. The results ? Well, it still does not work, unfortunately... With the headset on, it is mainly okay (there is still a little contact problem) but *withou* the headset, it still has no sound...
So :
1) Can I find this connector somewhere ?
2) Is there a way to tell the PDA not to check for the headset, and use the main speaker all the time ?
3) Would it change anything if I bought a blutooth headset ?
Thank you in advance !
Cheers

1.) i doubt it would be a cheap option if htc had a special connector made just for their phones so i'd asume they use some sort of std component
and maybe there even is a partNr og serial on the connector
which could be used to find a replacement in R&S catalog
http://www.rs-components.com/index.html
2.) no pretty sure the switch between headset and internal speaker is don in hardware and software cant control it
3.) no with bluetooth headset you just dont use the audio connector which mean it would be empty and you'd have no sound on the pda
but it would prob solve poor contact issue of your current headset
Thank you Rudegar !
I am going to re-open it and check if I can find any serial # on the component. It looks like it is my best option. Obviously, if I find something, I will post it on that forum, so that other people can know...
Thanks again !

My broadcast network not well

My Jasjar working perfect, but my voice to other party not hearing well after my Jasjar dropped in floor. I think broadcasting network section having problem, because the other party voice is well no disturbance at all. I tried all radio rom and all the OS rom including its original ROM from imate. I opened and checked every nook and corner, its fine all the parts. I cleaned all the parts, nothing improving. Is it possible to change its network IC? Or should I give to service centre? any Guru can help me!!!
May I try to hot iron the part of network IC?
Hi there, it is quite unlike to think that you might have damaged an IC because of a drop (altought quite unlike it's not impossible, it depends on the exact facts), but, something else might easily suffer some damage because of a drop, and that is the electret microphone inside the PDA, even the contacts of this mic can damage (even for normal use), usually these contacts are golden plated, it might be necessary to clean them or even better to change the mic.
If I got it right you've already opened the PDA, check the mic, also check for damage at the related components, next to where the mic is connected.
good luck!
The recording with the ppc working well and the problem also seen with bluetooth ear phone. I can hear well, but other party blurred and cut voice.
Any hardware guru???
Expert in Network of GSM?
Can't help me to solve my problem in the Networking services of my Jasjar!
JasJar outgoing voice
Can anyone help me?

internal mic/speaker stopped working

Hi,
on my htc wizard the internal speaker (for phone) and microphone stopped working. if i connect the headset it works, i can use the phone with it and talk to people. if i disconnect the headset, i cannot hear anything and the communication partner does not hear me. might this be a software issue or is a hardware problem more likely?
i think it might be the jack for the headset, since the display still works and all connections are established using one cable between the parts of the phone. And it is rather unlikely that the speaker and the microphone break at the same time. am i correct in assuming the same logic/amplifier circuit is used for the headset jack and the internel microphone/speakers?
disregard that, after penetrating the headset jack with a needle it works again...
Wizard
Ok, now I have been reading and reading on how to flash the HTC Wizard aka 8125's and I got everything but what I really don't know is...does the sims card need to be in the phone and am I looking to write a unlock code down when and if I see one. I have tried to flash my phone three times and I still can not do it. Even though I am reading the ever detailed and fully understandable directions, I am missing something. Can someone tell what it is?
I just got the Cect P168+ iphone clone (I do not like it) and I really really want to stay with my smartphone and I really want the rom flashed and upgraded, please help me. Someone may even eme to my personal email ([email protected]) if this needs to be done away from this site.
Thanks so much.

Hello my friend.
First update quick gps.Test the gps program you have in an outside area.
Then you can use htc gps tool
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=360477
it works for our mini.
Just try these and tell me if the problem is fixed
Hi nsourm
Well dude, I already do all you told me, but i got the same results.. nothing happens, also i made a Hard Reset, update the GPS data, run the app, still nothing
i attach some screens for you review.
HI Guys!!!
I FIX THE GPS!!!!!!!!!!!, the problem, the antenna cable was loose, I reconnect it again and it Worked 100%
So could you share with us, where the antenna is located?
A photo maybe?
Please take a look to this video -> HTC Aria Disassembly, you will see EXACTLY the same layout in the Mini;
The coaxial cable for the GPS is the blue one, the white one is for the WiFi, the WiFi antenna is located in the top yellow cover of the mini (the one that protects the camera and the speaker), the GPS antenna i believe is located in the same location.
Remember I don't identified it, because my problem was the GPS blue coaxial cable was loose, I only reconect it and solve my problem.
Best Regards
Wow! You have dared to disassemble your phone!
Great that problem is solved.
