How to backup T9 in w6.5 & the start menu? - Touch Diamond2, Pure General

Hi,
Tried the 6.1 ways and i can't get my T9 dictionary backed up and restoring correctly? Also now i have my programs how i want them, any idea how to backup the 'order' of them please?

About T9, no idea, about your programs list, if you open the registry to:
HKLM/Software/htc/manila/program launcher
You can save a copy of this Key as a Backup, we need to see if wm6.5 or SENSE/manila 2.1 (??) will use same keys in the registry.

Found this for dictionary!

How to backup customized words in HTC T9 Phone Pad?

as per subject, how do i backup the customized word list?
i found out that it's gone if u do a hard reset, and it's troublesome to let the phone pad to re-learn the custom words.
i found the solution. go to \Windows folder n try look for IntelliPad.udb. this is the file that stores your custom words in T9 PhonePad.
This is a good program
So this program links to the phonepad app and will hold the added custom words ?

Original keyboard

Please, help!!! I took the keyboard files from Diamond but it has different resolution and now I don't have any keyboard except windows default
Does anybody knows how to restore original keys?
---
Hard reset?
backup restore?
Tell us what files and we can send it to you?
But I would recommend to do backup before installing anything or doing hacks like that.
That is good idea! ) but I've already made a patch... ((
The files looks like only for cyrillic keyb. I will put the list bellow. Please, send me what [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Tegic\] registry contains.

Backing up and restoring registry

Hi everyone,
i've done a search and couldn't find anything (is the search function working?!).
I want to flash to the new HK WWE 1.72 ROM but I have made quite a few registry tweaks (from the tips page) and don't really want to make them all again. If I backup the registry, how do I restore my changes?
I tried with my last flash and the phone sat at the boot screen forever (with the radio/ROM etc. info screen).
Thanks for your help.
Any help please? Would like to flash today
You need to dig into the registry, export your edits into .reg files manually, then reimport those after flashing. Or find a program that can backup the whole registry, but only reimport selected items. A full restore will indeed screw up everything unless you use the same ROM.
Ok, thats what I thought. Suppose its easier than having to rewrite them all again
Thanks for your help.

Keyboard problem in 6.5

Hi, guys. I am trying to cook my own ROM for wm6.5. The Problem is I can't change the default keyboard to another keyboard input. Editing the reg in [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sip] to another keyboard input make the ROM not bootable. Installing SIPchanger also not solve the problem. Is there any other way to forcefully change the default keyboard input??
You do it by changing the guid in the defaultIM reg key; you also need the clsid for the new sip. Let me say, I had a ***** of a time getting it to work w/ resco keyboard (worked fine w/ fnkbd). The key is to set the defaulIM key during customization, otherwise the rom won't boot. The skin files need to be installed before that key is loaded. With fnkbd, you'd just get an error when the welcomehead appeared (annoying) if the defaultIM was cooked in. But with Resco, you never see your bloody welcomehead. I'm not eve sure that the read letters appear on the splash screen.
I set the defaultIM during customization with a mortscript:
Code:
RegWriteString("HKCU","\ControlPanel\Sip","DefaultIM","{A070BE16-AD56-11D3-BC77-00C06C512035}")
It runs after the skin files are installed (also with a mortscript during customization). Again, it's important that the clsid for the keyboard is cooked in, otherwise the rom will brick when you soft reset it. Once the defaultIM is set, you don't need a sipchanger, and reboots are quick
Edit: it's always a good idea to put in all relevant info if you really want help. What keyboard? What sipchanger? What's your package look like? Did you make it yourself? Did you do it manually, or use a cab-2-oem type tool, which probably crapped everything up? My guess is that you used cab-2-oem, but that there was a setup.dll that installs the clsid for the keyboard, and you didn't get that reg key, so now your package doesn't work. I suspect this because it's weird that sipchange isn't working for you-this is probably because you don't have the clsid (you put the shortcut in Startup, right?). Cab-2-oem type deals are not a reliable method to make packages.
