Is there a way of making the screen not touch sensitive when receiving a text or call. On numerous occasions I have received a text message when the phone has been in my pocket and Ive not heard it. When the text is received the phone takes itself from the standby position and activates the touch screen, which, when in my pocket moving, around triggers off all sorts of applications and usually locks up. One day I will manage to delete something important, Im sure of it.

hopefully someone here will be able to shed some light on this problem.
A couple of weeks ago, i noticed that when i had my jasjam in landscape mode, there was a small space on the left hand side that was no longer being used (about 5% of the screen size). I thought this small portion was just blank screen but upon further investigation it turns out that the bottom 5% of the display eg. contacts and calendar hotkey display, is being displayed at the top of the screen.
When in landscape mode you can see the scroll bar which should be at the left hand side of the screen partially showing on the right hand side..
Its a bit of a trippy issue, just a bit annoying is all.
Any suggestions for a fix?

Perform a hard reset, hope it'll solve ur problem.

I looked around the Nexus 4 forums and around the internet for what is this thing called. well I just call them "vertical rainbow lines"
well i just got the phone on Friday and I got my screen protector in the mail yesterday (saturday). i installed it on saturday and today (sunday) i check for any wet marks and nothing so i then proceeded to turning the phone on for the first time... and then i notice this on the bottom of the screen...

Second Pic: Its between the "back" and "home" on the white screen (it shows horrifically since i'm holding the phone in landscape)
Third Pic: Between the search and tag button right on top of the screen buttons
Fourth Pic: ^ same location as 3rd pic
could anyone tell me what it is and why it is there and if this is something that is worth contacting google to replace or if anyone has this on their screen too...
Remove your SP.
Then check again. It is likely due to the SP.

So I've been getting ghost or phantom touches on my phone for the past few weeks. I couldn't figure out what was causing it because I've never dropped my phone and it never got wet. The phantom touches only appears down the right side of the screen in almost a straight line. It doesn't happen all the time and I thought it was random but I got it to occur at a successful rate. If I press down on the top left corner of the screen, it would cause the phantom touches. When I press and hold down the top left corner of the phone, everything is fine and no phantom touches appear. I decided to tighten the screws on the top left and it seems to have made it a little better. I'd have to really tap on the top left of the screen to make the phantom touches appear again and it doesn't occur at a 100% rate but it's still occurs.
Anyone know what is causing this? I thought it would be a broken digitizer but it doesn't make sense that tightening the screws would cause the issue to almost fix itself. Problem with the geomangnet? I'm not sure what that does really.

Put 2 (or more) fingers on the screen of your Note 3 in a horizontal line in landscape mode. You can also use Portrait mode with 2 fingers.
Move the fingers slightly about, trying to have both (all) in a straight horizontal line.
After only a bit of trying one (or more) detected fingers should disappear (become undetected) or ghost touch detections should appear.

Thank you for the help and suggestion but I've already tried this. My touch screen is fine in terms of detection. I can put 10 fingers on the screen and it would recognize all 10 fingers. My issue has something to do with the top left corner of the screen affecting the right side of the screen. Like something is loose. When I clamp down on the left corner of the phone, everything works fine. No ghost touches (that sounds dirty) or any of the sort. When I let go of the top left corner, I will some times get ghost touches.

try downloading another firmware and revet back to stock rom that il do are you on custom rom?

It's not a firmware issue. It's definitely a hardware issue since it starts tapping on buttons inside TWRP recovery. Ah well, I tighten the screws even more and it looks like the phantom touches are gone. Hopefully it stays that way even though I destroyed a screw in the process. Those tiny things are fragile.
if the touch ghost click is in some certain location most because of pollution (mainly chemical), best is use ISO alcohol also use a very tinny sharp blade, like a very thin one and slightly go along side the place that does this, sometimes you have to try both horizontal and vertical, then clean with ISO, do a few times it does alright. it does work on most of touch screen include note 3 as well. Hello, i have dropped my s7 edge and damaged it. It got 2 purple and one green vertical line at the right side edge. Plus a black dot where the clock is which is at the right upper corner. At first the dot was little but now its getting bigger and i can't see the clock at all.
I want to use one handed operation all the time. Not pressing home button whenever i wake my device . Or is there a way to use assistant menu with one handed operation?
Guys help me out !
