yes it doesnt work, but maybe some tweaks may do it. but the 3d message viewer works and its cool!

Shame the birthday reminder is based on the contact info rather than what is in the calendar...

ofcourse it does. otherwise you have to repeat manually and every year the birthdates in your calendar...

You clearly dont know how to set up a recurring diary entry in Outlook. Get your facts right before posting.

COOL...!!!

is battery drain? I use it but it's drain my battery. How about yours?

No noticeable drain in my case.

I just downloaded it and I already love it!
It looks good, but it does give tearing when I use the carrousel.
My battery is draining faster too.

Confirm, there's a big battery drain. charged 100%, go to bed, wake up and phone is either off or with 2% battery left
it seems it doesn't stand-by properly when you hit the off button.
Anyone has a solution? because its very beautiful and useful, now we got finally portrait-landscape mode and the virtual hold button. but with the huge battery-drain, its almost useless

I've been running 3.5 for almost three weeks with no additional battery drain. can only assume the problem is related to other software installed on individual handsets, since otherwise our phones are all identical.

I uninstalled the software, reinstalled again and for a couple of days no battery drain. then, battery drain again
even with restart. can be caused by the hold button?

No excessive battery drainage here.

I have excessive during the night. During the day the phone stays at almost the same percentage.

[release] Task Manager WM 5.0

Hi guys,
i made up a little app that is targeted to include all features tips and tricks related to task management.
The app consists of a tray list with activate, terminate and refresh options that hides itself back to tray when the list is closed.
A small today plugin with storage and program ocupied memory (percentage). A tap on the plugin will popup a run window with browsing feature and also parameters edit box.
I also included a close red button with three options : Minimize, Close, Ok
The button is hidden for the today window, visible anywhere else.
Also a radio checkbox is added to the option that the window has by default.
There might be some bugs i did it all today so please get back with replies.
When i reach a stabble version it will be moved to teksoft server.
Some snapshots can be viewed:

"lightbox_download": "Download",

}
Shortcuts are added for the titlebar close button and for traytasklist in programs list also to startup.
This version is only for 2005 devices.
Cheers,
Raul
Any ideas for improving this app? Somebody...
No feedback ...
One suggestion: Please make the program aware of the screen resolution; i.e. VGA/QVGA. It runs just fine on my HTC wizard, however, the icons are too large. Also, the run program command does not let me explore very deep into the file tree. I'll post more feedback as I explore the program further.
Thanks for the feedback. Noted. Waiting for other suggestions
Cheers,
Raul
Cool little app. I have a Wizard as well so the same problems regarding sizing occur for me. Here is my wishlist:
* Sort the items in the run / browse / tree so they are easier to find.
* Use a different window type/size for the run / browse / tree so it fills up the whole screen
* Add a 3rd column to TrayTaskList for memory usage (is this possible?)
* Allow sorting TrayTaskList items by memory usage / name
* Merge TrayTaskList / TekManager dialog into one program so that off of the Today menu the user can access the functionality of both programs. There would have to be tabs/buttons/menu/etc for flipping between them.
I look forward to the next version.

Will be added.

Will be fixed.
* Add a 3rd column to TrayTaskList for memory usage (is this possible?)
This is a little tricky but i think it can be done.

Yes this was in the plan of the new release.
I can't dump registry now but I tried and it's something with my OS - it doesn't remember what I set in Button applet.
Now it works and even I defined it for two different button and both works at the same time!
What should be visible in Button applet in settings when I assign one button for newmenu?

Extended Controls Widget

UPDATED: December 29, 2010.

And it is FREE !

THIS IS THE ORIGINAL THREAD:
Hi,
Is anyone using "Extended Controls Widget"?
Did you find any issue with HTC Desire?
QR Code:
Thanks, problem in HTC Desire are fixed
Last Release: 3.1
Nice for the Desire supports ... but I have couple of suggestions:
1. Configurable "Brightness" control for 3 steps only and user can specify how much brightness for each step (I want to use 10% brightness for the lowest setting, 20% is too much for me).
2. Controls that when pressed will execute choosen applications. This should work like a shortcut for application. It would be awesome to have this! For example: I have an app to activate certain "profile" and I want to launch it from the Extended Control widget.
This widget has a lot more potential. Think about my suggestions above
why do these contorl widgets never come with mobile data widget?

@ supasye: there is the control called APN that switches the data network.
Where to download, can't find it in market?!?
great widget, I only miss more configuration for brightness (too many steps for easy use) and auto brightness support
Dammit Gogol, you find some really nice widgets
cool.. have a go at SwitchPro Widget as well...
How about:
Dazzle Configurable Switcher
http://www.appbrain.com/app/org.hermit.dazzle
Just got Switch Pro. Handy widget.
Tried to get Extended Controls but got stuck on payment authorization and failed.
The functions and UI look almost identical fwiw.

Does Extended Controls Widget support On / Off of cellular/mobile data ?
Or does it just take you to the setting page for this ?
Dazzle Configurable Switcher only take you to the setting page
^I've only found the stock widget able to do that.

I tried both and ended up going with Extended Controls Widget.
The only things I'd like to see in a future release are:
Turn off the widget's background. SwitchPro has this and it works well with dark wallpapers
Flashlight switch to turn on LED
Also if you remove a widget and try to add it, it sometimes gets confused and tells you you need to add a widget you're not currently using. Have to reinstall to get around that.
Aside from that it's great!
yes, would love to see...
* a transparency slider option
* some way to change the settings of the widget already onscreen? (a shortcut in the applications folder or something?)
* a way to arange the order of the widgets
other than that great, i bought it
Main reason that i'll take Switchpro over anyhting else is that is has a 7 button widget iso just 5.
really love this widget!
this that I would suggest for future versions:
transparent widget
ability to toggle wireless tether on froyo
Add the ability to switch to auto with backlighting
So far great app. def. worth the 79c!

Extended Controls will shove as many buttons into the widget you're building as you want to put in there. You could throw 11 buttons in there if you wanted to (and I have, for fun).
Really? Nice In the same space as 4 regular icons, right? Then they really only need to add skins indeed! ( esp. transparent )

Full Guide for Best Battery Saver

Hello guys! I'm new here, and sorry for my english mistakes, but I'm Brazillian member, and I will share some information about my actual Moto X XT1058, that I search about two weeks for save my battery, and now It's great!
When finish my setup, I charged up to full and the battery info now is:

* The important part is here, when screen use generally takes more than 60%.
** I use my phone on the day to talk with clients and Whatsapp (less whatsapp because I'm working ^^). And on the night time I use my Whatsapp with more frequency and listen to music.
1 - WHAT ROM
CyanogenMOD Nightly Version for MOTO X
Generally the ROM is not the important part, but if your ROM uses a kernel that have no way to make some system changes, than this will be a problem.
2 - GENERAL SETTINGS

Bright - Lower % - I will talk about the APP

On CyanogenMOD, you go to:
Settings -> System -> Performance
Click to collapse
- On Performance Profile menu, set the profile to 'Economy' in default its on 'Balanced'.
- Above the profile settings, you have to DISABLE the 'Activate profile by APPs'.
- On System Performance, go to Processor, and change:
Governator -> 'Ondemand'
Minimum Frequency -> '384 Mhz'
Maximum Frequency -> '1350 Mhz'
Click to collapse
* The maximum Frequency seted here is more than suficient for my use, but you can adequate for yours.
4 - CLEAN UNUSED APPs
Here is a important part, but you have to stay calm and do not uninstall important system files or aplications.
To make that securely, I recommend to install the Titanium Backup, and you have to be ROOT.
Here is my list of the DISABLED things on my CyanogenMOD ROM, until now, I have no problem, and its stable

JuiceDefender
- Enable the Advanced MODE
- Setting UP with your preference
- This APP have a ugly interface, but it Works and have a guide for all the features
- This have a feature to shutting down the own service when receive a SMS with your custom code, Its very useful to use with the Kaspersky Thief Service and others app that will use your GPS or Data mode.
- The feature of the Bright is too helpful for battery, keep that in mind.
- Bellow my JuiceDefender Settings, they are on PT-BR, but you can understand:

6 - GENERAL TIPS
- Avoid to use white or colorfull backgrounds, wallpaperks...because on the AMOLED screen they will use much more battery. I use a black and red wallpaper/lock screen, and a black wallpaper on whatsapp.
- Avoid to keep the music on when you are not listening.
- The Dashclock Widget with the Whatsapp Notifier, will prevent you to unlock the screen unnecessarily.
- The default bright on the Moto X is too high, and with the JuiceDefender the minimum bright are lower and more quality for your read on the day and night. A high bright on night and bed, can cause you sleeplessness problems.
7 - FINAL
Thanks for the atention, and this is a guide for people who want a better battery life.
I spend much time to understand all these things and make my best Moto X changes.
Have question? Feel free to ask.
Have more APPs to help on the battery saver? Share with us too.
8 - BATTERY SAVER APPs
I forgot to tell...my JuiceDefender Ultimate are crashing and stoped to work alone...this is bad. But on the Play Services have too many other Battery Saver APPs.
Another APP for battery in place of the buged JuiceDefender, that I recommend is:
Easy Battery Saver
But that is for your choice, and I think just the JuiceDefender have the bright control with the minimal % reduced.
If you want to install other Baterry APP, like the EBS, that not have bright control, I really recommend you to install these app:

No idea I'm afraid
Any one tried this?
Trying to download.. but not able to do the same
Still in beta, but too many bugs.
I will flash another ROM, because that was in too early stage.
When i flashed this ROM, and started using this ROM, the lovely interface attracted me. So i use it for all day long, but... FIUI launcher FC too many times, XS KK GAPPS doesn't work, after switching to ART, reboot, and it still write, that i am on Dalvik, some apps doesn't even start, and Performance Controls, like Trickster MOD, PC from Wajk, or ROM Toolbox Pro, doesn't achieve to limit the CPU...
I love the interface, i want to see this ROM in stable version, but not in BETA...
Keep going guys! Thanks for this adventure!
