Opera Browser or IE Closes when opening websites - Touch Diamond2, Pure General

I've tried searching around for answers but I think this is a really isolated problem so I'll ask here anyways. Mods: Please don't hesitate to move this topic if I it was posted on the wrong section.
My problem is, Opera browser closes suddenly when accessing websites for non-mobile version. I tried using 9.7b but same things happen. I also tried using IE but still the same. It would be great if anyone can tell me what I can do.
Thanks.

Just a little bump. Still haven't found a solution. :/

Browser problems

Hello
I'm having problems with the internet browser. It used to function properly but recently it began presenting me with the squares and circles in place of words on all webpages.
Has anyone had similar problems? Or does anyone have a solution?
Thank you
Man.
I'm also experiencing this, for the last week or so, but only when using the quick search box on the internet tab of TF3D which loads pages "designed for mobile use". If the full Opera browser is launched pages load properly. I haven't begun to try and find out more about it yet.
I can't get it to work at all, internet tab or Opera. If you find a solution could you post it please.
Thank you
Anyone else with the problem?
Had the same problem but only when going to a site through the browser search function, if I manually enter the site address then no problem.
Same problem here for a couple of weeks. Thought it was the rom i was using so reflashed another and had the same problem.
Went into settings and enabled plugin's and havnt experienced it again yet. However im sure i tried this before flashing it again. May just be coincidence.
There is more people complaing on a google forum. Though not much info. Google "zeros and squares opera" to find it.
Hi, this started happening for me shortly after I got my phone about 3 weeks ago, I believe this is caused by Google's formatting of the pages, when you use the default search link, google reformats the pages for mobile. It worked at first for me, but then I started getting the squares/circles thing... Don't think it is a topaz/opera issue as after a hard reset it was the same. Figure something is up with google's mobile formatting currently.
If you go to the bottom of a page with the squares/circles etc. you should see the google link, so page is being displayed via google, it should say, "display as mobile or full page" or something like that, if you tell it just to show you full pages then the issue goes away.... but you are not getting the advantage of reduced size pages...

Incorrect Region Problem

Not sure how to sort this.
I just tried to install tvcatchup but whenever I try to play anything it just says "non-UK"
It recognised my ISP as a UK one alright.
Really frustrating as skyfire doesn't seem to be working properly on my phone for some reason at the moment [I even uninstalled and reinstalled it] which is a bummer for beeb and itv websites for world cup!
Similarly right from the start I noticed that whenever I do a search for anything from opera/google for some some reason it gives me search results in german?!?!?!
that will be opera 10 you're using then lol beta version is it by any chance?? and there is a couple of threads for tvcatchup in the themes and apps section i pretty sure someone found a fix for this mate
Nope it is the default internet tab on Sense.
I will look in the other thread for tvcatchup.
Appreciate the help mate!
try to disable my location, perhaps?

[Q] Stock browser pagination

Hi
Has anyone noticed how the stock android browser "paginates" some web sites. I don't know if that's the correct word to describe it, but I mean when it separates a web site into several pages and you have to click continue at the end to see the rest of the content. Also, when you see the list of open tabs next to the title you see "(1/3)".
I find it very annoying and haven't found a way to disable it. Does anyone know how to do it?
This happens to me using a Galaxy 3, that's why I'm asking in this forum. Could some other user of this phone please confirm if it happens in your phone too?
Thanks.
let me guess. This happens generally when you are using google search and click one of the links.. right?
It happens when using google search, but also when entering the site URL directly. For instance, I just loaded emol.com (local newspaper) and I got the paginated view. I'm also getting it when accessing this very same forum, which makes it almost unusable.
So nobody else has seen this behavior?
I figured this would be a good place to ask, lots of users of this phone. Would you please suggest some other place to post this question if it is not relevant here?
Thanks
Finally, mistery solved. I figured it only happened when using 3G and not when using WiFi. I went to the APN settings and the default APN had a proxy server enabled. I removed the proxy address and now all pages look as they should. So,
it wasn't android browser's fault, it was my network operator's. No wonder I couldn't find anything about this issue.
Sorry for all the annoying posts

Search this forum issue.

Does anyone else see this, in this forum, pressing search, the keyboard pops up but goes off, the only way to search is using the advanced function.
seen this happen on other forums with the stock browser. i just use skyfire or firefox as both seem to work well with the issue.

I might try fire fox for a hoot, but the issue isn't a deal braker for me, since the advance search works fine.

Wikipedia on Chrome and Browser Problem

Hey everyone.
I have been looking for a solution to this problem for ages without finding a solution.
The problem is that when you go to chrome or browser in Quarx CM9, then go to a wikipedia page, it goes to a meta site saying the wiki is unavailable etc. When you click browse in desktop mode, it goes to a broken page, which is still readable, but I wish it wouldnt do this, as I use wikipedia frequently.
Hopefully we can find a solution!
Thanks!
Use opera...i dont have any issues with it. Stock browser and chrome seem to have certain issues still persisting.
