Hi, i bought Soundlink Mini by Bose (bluetooth portable speaker) and when i hear music or watch videos, my S4 doesn't let me choose all SoundAlive effects because i'm not using cable output.
Is it possible a hack to make available all effects like i'm using wired speaker/earphones instead of wireless?

I'm curious also to know whether it is possible to forcibly select ANY of the soundalive profiles using ANY output...for example, I really like the virtual 7.1 profile on my headphones (sounds great combines with the sound boosted, by editing the files in snd_soc_msm). but as soon as you unplug the headphones it says that the profile is "not compatible" with the speaker. This has the knock on effect of meaning that I have to re-select the profile every time i plug in my headphones.
is there some way of either enabling all profiles all the time, or to set the default profile for headphones?
Is there a way to change our audio output to 24-bit 192khz audio output? I believe it can be changed from audio_policy.conf file have anyone tried that? Or is there another way to do so?
I just plugged in a cheap pair of headphones and wow, the sound is amazing using the hifi dac. I don't know much about it but I have a much better pair of Sony bluetooth headphones, is there any work around to use the hifi with bluetooth?
I don't believe so. I could be wrong but I very much doubt it.

Not possible. Nutshell explanation:
All audio, the audio you hear with your actual ear, is analog. Sound is an analog vibration through the air.
The audio recordings in your phone are digital. MP3, MP4, whatever. Unless you're listening to an old record or cassette recording, you're playback source is digital.
The DAC is a Digital Analog Converter. A high quality DAC converts high quality digital audio into high quality analog audio. A higher quality DAC generates a better reconstruction of the original analog signal. Because wired headphones are analog, they simply transform the analog electrical signal into analog speaker vibrations.
If you think about this for a moment, you should understand why it can't be used with Bluetooth. BT is a digital protocol, so the connection between your phone and your Bluetooth receiver is digital. Bluetooth receivers typically perform an on-chip conversion of the digital signal to an analog output during playback. Some high quality BT speakers have onboard 24 bit and 32 bit DAC's to improve the fidelity of their audio output.
So, if the V10 allowed the DAC to be used with Bluetooth, your signal would be Digital Source - > Analog 32 bit HiFi DAC -> Digital Bluetooth -> Analog Output. Because your audio quality is limited by the lowest fidelity step in the reproduction chain, your final output quality is never going to exceed the fidelity of the conversion in your Bluetooth device. And because the analog -> digital conversion actually lowers audio quality, the highest quality Bluetooth playback can be achieved by keeping the signal digital until it reaches the output device. Running the signal through the HiFi DAC would actually result in lower quality Bluetooth audio.
If you want to match the quality of the HiFi DAC using Bluetooth, you'll need to buy a Bluetooth receiver with a high quality onboard DAC of its own.

I got the Oreo update and in developer options you're supposed to be able to change the codec, samplerate and a few other things to improve Bluetooth audio. However when I select a codec it doesn't change. It defaults to aac. I wanted to use Ldac. Tried aptx hd and Samsung hd as well and they don't work.
I have the same issue. When you select for example, AptX, the settings don't seem to stick.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
Same here on S9+ cant change codec, always goes back to AAC

Try deactivating Bluetooth, then change the codec. Should work. Cheers

Apt-X is the best. That being said, the bluetooth device you connect too has to be compatible. Maybe that's why it switches back to AAC for you. (It sticks to apt X in my case)
Same problem here, it doesn't seem to stick. Even if I disable bluetooth. After closing and re-opening developer options it reverts back to SBC.
Any fix?
For me it only changed when a device was actually connected

Yo, everyone. I use a sennheiser gt 4.40 with aptx with s8. If you want to enable aptx. first go to BLUETOOTH settings, click the 3 dots. disable the duo bluetooth audio and then go to the developer settings, you will see it's working. but to be honest, I find no difference between these. LOL

Finally! Disabling dul audio is what allows the setting to work on my Note 8. Using Forza Metallo headphones there is a VERY noticeable improvement when using aptx!
The audio codec is switching back from LDAC because your bluetooth headphones/speaker doesnt support LDAC. Same would be the case with APTX HD.

My problem is my stereo in my car is older and needs to use the SBC codec to stay connected with any reliability, but the phone automatically switches back to AAC when it connects to it. If I switch it back to SBC after it connects I have no connectivity issues but if I leave it on AAC it disconnects every 5 mins, won't display some track information, etc.
Duo bluetooth audio is not enabled, I have changed settings with both bluetooth and duo audio off. It will accept the change to SBC, but it reverts back to AAC when the stereo connects. The phone will not accept any change to any other bluetooth developer option either, when I exit the developer options and go back in they all are reverted back from my changes. Quite frustrating.

Just logged cause of this solution, thank you comrade, this solved the issue.
on the s9 plus u can only change to profiles whilst playing sound through the bluetooth headphones and only codecs the headphones support. when you re-pair it will auto select the best codec the headphones support anyway so no need to change it at all. i would leave this setting alone unless you want to dowbscale the codec (as it picks the best one for your bluetooth device)
Codec change on S8 does not stick
I have tried the dual audio status trick mentioned above for Note 8, but it doesn't work for my S8. I can select AptX in the developers section, but when you return to that section, the codec selected reverts to SBC. I have a pair of earbuds that supports AptX. Is Samsung pulling a fast one on us?

Worked for my s8. I am using it with a fiio q5. Aptx sticks after duo audio disable.
My S7 kept reverting back to aptx after I used LDAC With mij Sony 1000mx2.
There is an extra setting in the bluetooth settings for that headphone (tap the little)cog) to enable LDAC.
Switching that on worked for me.

I can choose all the settings in my Umidigi A1 Pro but when connecting BT settings go back to default SBC. Android 8.1 has as far as I can see no more 3 dots or dual playback.

Hi everyone! I just bought the Sony 1000XM4 headphones. The headphones support SBC, AAC and LDAC. However, when I connect to my device (Max Pro M2), I can only use SBC. even though in the bluetooth settings for the headphones, the option HD Audio: AAC (No LDAC) is enabled.
I went to the developer options to set the Bluetooth codec to LDAC (Qualcomm aptX Adaptive Audio), but the setting does not stick.
I don't have the 'Connect to two devices simultaneously' option enabled and the priority is on Sound Quality instead of Connection Quality.
I have tried resetting the WiFi and bluetooth settings but still can't get it to work.
I tried connecting the headphones to the Sony XZs and it instantly gave the option to use LDAC and used it. This makes me wonder if this phone even supports LDAC, even though on the internet it says that it does. I can't even use AAC, I am stuck on SBC.
Does anyone have any idea? Please?

I'm on Havoc 3.11, I don't know about stock ROM.
Yeah, couldn't get it to work on the stock ROM. Now, I'm on Resurrection Remix and it works!
