I´ve seen a Link to the (original?) WM5 Rom from HTC in the Wiki...
My German Herald is bricked by now, maybe it can be brought back to life until WM6 is released ?

Yes i posted it but i do not know if it is original. Try please, i can't try it, device is also bricked, but CID-locked to Dutch version, Can anyone provide me with the dutch RUU btw??

I don't need Vodafone crap I bought my Herald at BelCompany, it is unbranded No vodafone stuff for me it's just my operator. And I did not find any new ROM's, but i'm still searching
I must say i am very content with the O2 Terra Rom !
Works fast and stable
Let´s wait for HTC to release the official WM6 for Herald
For me the same as the dutchman bought it at bel company vodafone only operator but it isn't branded...
Bricked mine to, and no those damned people at htc delayed it AGAIN!

Mine is in need for a Dutch ROM aswell. If I know how to extract a ROM from a Herald (if possible)
Got a note from pdashop.nl the English version is delayed by at least 3 weeks.
That sucks, anyone knows where to get English version in NL??

Nope,
I hear it yesterday.
HTC deliverd the NL versions again, so there short on units or what so ever...
So the UK version has to wait.

Since you have the NL version, can you try if the leaked official ROM can be flashed to the HD2? I guess you will be able to tell of it can be done before you actually start the flashing of the device.

I was wondering if any NL HD2 owner could try if changing NL ROM to UK is possible.
Afaik the RUU will actually tell you before the flashing starts, so even if you don't want to really update your NL localised HD2 to UK ROM it would be interesting to know if it is possible now the UK version seems to be delayed.
I don't like NL ROMs but will buy the NL version if I can change to UK before HardSPL comes out. Since Olipro said it is getting more difficult with every new phone I'm expecting it takes at least a number of months before it will be available (if at all...).
So please Dutch HD2 owners, grab the UK ROM and post your findings back here?

Of course you have, but you have the NL ROM.
Can you try the WWE RUU/ROM download and find out if this allows flashing the device from NL to WWE/UK/English?
If this can be done I'm ordering the NL and flash to WWE when it is delivered.

The short version is, even though both are official ROMs, it's not possible without HardSPL due to language differences.

Hi,
I wanted to install the sms update from the HTC site. The update states it is for rom 1.66.XXX.X or lower. Since I have 1.66 it should be no prob I tought..
Well, when trying to install the exe. from my memcard, it says "This hotfix is not compatible with your device"
Any idea whats going wrong?
You shouldn't need the SMS fix for 1.66 as its already included in the ROM.

The update said for ROM 1.66
Hmmm the english site states less than 1.66, while the dutch site states 1.66 or less.
NL HTC site:
Deze update is alleen van toepassing op de rom-versie 1.66.XXX.X of lager.
Guess it will be for lower then 1.66 then..
HTC France:
"Cette mise à jour s’applique uniquement à la version de ROM égale à 1.66.XXX.X, ou inférieur."
In English:
This Update is for 1.66 ROM or less than 1.66
Yeh... No idea why it doesn't want to install..

I havent looked at it, I was just passing on the info that it had been posted.
Don't be fooled by it being released on teh HTC site, if you look at teh available roms on htc.com/uk/ you will see the carrier roms get released there too, so yes, it will likely be orange branded.

Sorry mate but you have a phone supplied by tmobile therefor you need a tmobile rom, the orange rom won't work for you.
If a UK Orange user was able to share his/here S/N it would be great.

For me is the same guys. Taiwan version got earlier because HTC is from Taiwan.
That's not fair of course but it is like that.
I am a bit disappointed about this, after a year still didn't get the update on a more then 500£ phone.
