Haven't tried it myself, but it seems like it may be what you're looking for.

the problem with most bt togglers out there is that htc changed the bt stack to the widcomm stack instaed of the wm stack because of that ur gonna need to find someone with the time to deconstruct the wdicomm bt stack in order to get a toggler fot the bt on the tp2 hope that helps answer ur question

This one will work

I can agree on that! This works just fine. Offcourse it's handy to set one of the softkeys to this program to turn bluetooth on or off if you use it a lot.

Hi all I would like to get this application working but it does not look like the test application works on our XDA's?? :-( It is saying somthing about needing the WIDCOMM drivers.... Any idea if there is an esay and safe way to get this utility working?
Hear is the web address of where you can find the application:
http://www.buzzone.net/eng/index.html
Thanks guys
Just install the latest Widcomm PPCPE drivers in "Hacking It"
Thanks for the reply rahjinoh, I will give that a go, I did see somthing about Widcomm drivers but when i looked into that option it seemed very complicated and a number of people where having problems with the XDA II with it would I be correct in saying that?
I'm a little scared to install it if its going to cause me any problems as I use a Bluetooth GPS (with Destinator 3) as well as the O2 Bluetooth headset (The new one, works like a charm)... I use both these bluetooth devices on a daily basis and cant affort them to go down.
Any idea if I will run into any problems if I install this Widcomm driver?
How does it work?
Do I have 2 bluetooth drivers installed then? both MS and Widcomm?
Sorry for all the questions would like to try and find out if it is a simple process or if I could run into problems....
Many thanks!
The Widcomm works with everything EXCEPT headsets.
The GPS would work with Widcomm but not the O2 headset, not yet at least.
Both the stacks will coexists and you can turn on 1 at a time.
I use that stack as well, some people get the "Cannot initialise bluetooth hardware" once in a while, but mine's fine.
I used the Widcomm with Widcomm related software, otherwise, my MS Bluetooth stack is on most of the time.
I use the MS one for my Motorola Headset and Bluetooth GPS, and the Widcomm one for other purposes, like BuzzOne
just remember that you can only enable 1 stack at a time
thanks for the reply rahjinoh
This sounds like a lot of messing around unfortunatly, I wish bluetooth would come up with some starndards and stop stuffing around so much, its going to die in the long run if they don't I recon. I've read that the makers of bluetooth have not stoped any research and devolopment with the technology (Sony/Ericson) this does not seem to be a good step but I don't blame them really as the software side of things is a compleat MESS!!!
Is Microsoft going to be fixing up there drivers? or has the problems been fixed in the Newer Windows 2003 SE Phone Edition? (Which I hope is going to be comming out for our XDA II's some time soon??)...
Cheers!!!
Any more news any one? any ideas what I can do to get my Bluetooth GPS, Head Set and Software Programs to work with ease and no problems?
Still no news??? ANY ONE???
Has any one mannaged to find an easy way to get this program working as yet?
still no news or any ways to get this software working is there? I need a solution that will work with my Bluetooth GPS (and current software, Destinator 3), Bluetooth Headset as well as this program...
Any thoughts any one?
Might want to read this...

Thanks for the reply Nighthawk...
I have seen that post before, but what I am worried about is that I've noticed that people on XDA-Forum has posted that you cannot use your Bluetooth Headset if you don't use the MS Stack? Is this correct?
I use a Bluetooth - GPS, Headset and software... Will I have any problems with these?
easiest way to configure internet bluetoothsharing

\Windows.
go to file explorer of your pocket pc and extract these thre which you downloaded or run these files from your pocket pc..
now your bluetoth manager is installed. then just go to this site
and learn step by step to configure your pocket pc for intenet connection sharing with your desktop

i think its the easiest way to do in min not hours
best regards for all my brothers.
Thanks for the reply maani_ch, great advice, only 1 question... If I install these drivers. Do you know if I can still use my Bluetooth GPS with my Bluetooth Heatset at the same time as I do at the moment???
As well as both of them working of course!
CHEERS!
Good question Guest, thats exactualy what I would like to konw, I'm a little scared to install stuff on my XDA now days as in the past I've learned that sometimes things just stop working after installing some applications and it's hard to find out what it is (as it is normaly combinations of things)... As I use it for work it's hard to afford any down time with my phone...
Any answers to the previous questions as to how it would work with Bluetooth GPS and Bluetooth Head set at the same time?
SSA connection is problem...Can any 1 help with a solution?

Thanks for the response. Have you tried it yourself? I installed it, but I have no BT Headset yet, so I can't really test it for now. I was planning on buying a BT headset soon, but I decided to wait for the new ROM update for newer BT support.

bluetooth cant see other devices and viceversa

hi all
i just bought a touch HD, its my first WM device and i have some problems with it
one if it is the bluetooth that dosent work, or i dont know how to configure it
i cant find other devices and also other cant see it
i tried before(SPL 1.14) and after i put miri ROM(SPL 1.57)
is there a solution to this?
Without mening to offend, but have you gone into Connections, Bluetooth and enabled the device to be seen?
offcourse
but the thing is i cant find others as well
do i need(or can) to install something? like a driver?

You shouldn't need anything extra.
So, not only is bluetooth turned on, but it is also set to allow the devices to be seen?
What type of device(s) are you trying to connect to?
Can you tell us the main steps you are taking when trying to establish a connection?
Is this how you are doing it?
Click to watch video
yes i selected the "make my phone visible.." and turned on my bluetooth just like on the video
im trying to connect to a regular phone( samsung d880 and SE k800)
well, you shouldn't need any other program or driver. What ROM do you have?
If you want, you can try using this program (DrYar-Bluetooth v1.6) and see if it works. Can't promise anything, but you can give it a shot.
Download it at the bottom of this post.
im using miri V16 WM6.5
but it didnt worked before with stock ROM
im gonna tryu and see if it workes with other kind of devices
looks like its started to go
i think drYAR bluetooth did the trick
thx for the help
the touchflo interface for bluetooth dosent work(it dosent find other devices) but the WM one(in the advanced) does strange but i can live with it
Hmm, okay. I guess it's sort of a "half solution". Still annoying that touchflo won't do it, but I'm glad you can at least use bluetooth via other methods.

Bluetooth and MSVC

I am in the process of moving from a TP to a TP2, and am configuring the latter, however (and I have seen this problem elsewhere regarding this phone) I cannot get my bluetooth headset to play nice with MSVC. Specifically the button to initiate the call.
I have tried the steps listed by bengalih and all should work. From what I have read, they are using a different bluetooth stack for the TP2 which is the issue.
So I have a few questions.
1. Has anyone got the headset button to activate MSVC successfully?
2. Is there a way to change the bluetooth stack without changing the ROM
3. will changing the ROM fix this? Any way I can tell which ROMS will have a working bluetooth stack?
I have Vodafone UK branded model.
This is I think the last thing that I need to make the phone 'functional' for my daily use, and so would be really grateful for any advice.

1. Yes, with certain headsets that will allow a verrry loooong press without turning off.
2. I suppose it's theoretically possible, but I do not know for sure.
3. Yes. Some of the cooked roms work fine with MSVC and bluetooth headsets on the TP2.
Could you give examples of the cooked roms that work?
Cheers

any trick or hack we can borrow from "bt-MSVCworking roms" and transplant in stock roms? maybe a skilled dev might try to do something.... PLEASE guys!

NRGs Genesis ROM works for me. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=553506
Gordon
Flashing now and will confirm experience with my two headsets shortly.
EDIT:
Only had time to test the specific problem identified at the start - both headsets work fine now. Hurrah. I do not know the specifics behind why, or if this will apply to all 6.5 based roms. But for anyone desperately seeking a resolution the headset initiation of MSVC, using the ROM above does fix it. And so far the NRG ROM does seem good.

I currently use EnergyROM version 20090822 (Titanium) with MSVC 1.6.21040.
Thanks to those above for their help.
thank you for the contribution, but for who is keeping stock rom, any possible solution??? I would sell my soul for this...
A "stand alone solution" for Touch Pro2s with an original ROM would be great. Possibly one of the ROM cookers can extract it for us.
Thanks a lot in advance,
Klaus
that would be really appreciated!!!
Got it to work, but...........
Hi I have a TP2 with MSVC installed. I got it to work by editing the regsitry and swapping SDDialer.exe with voicecmd.exe. It works great. I press the button on my bluetooth headset and MSVC is invoked.
The only problem is that the voice commaned that i say has to go through the TP2 microphone not the bluetooth headset microphone. Any one knows how to direct the audio input to the headset microphone???
I am using Miri cooked ROM 23017 with manila v2.5

this bluetooth activation is a real bugger!! does the audio from VC go to the device loudspeaker, or BT headset? that would be a beginning, somehow...
any luck with cyberon voice commander yet?

Well I have the Voda version of the TP2 and I also have a spare to play with (I cracked the screen on my first one and got a new one but they never asked for the old one back - it works fine) so I loaded the EnergyROM from a link elsewhere on this thread on to it. My bluetooth headset does not work with the Cyberon Voice speed dial program which I prefer - although this ROM does alow you to put all sounds through the headset. It worked fine on my old TyTn from Voda. Like you said, this is a real bu**er!

mmmh I'm becoming more and more obsessed with this. I googled everywhere but found anything... someone reports msvc and cvc as working, someone else not.. but nobody says it's working from BT headset... blame on htc that forgot such an important thing!

It's all true
I understand that on the Telus ROM MSVC works with Bluetooth out the box
MSVC and CVC do work, UNLESS you want to use Bluetooth, when they don't (with stock ROMS in the EU) ;-)
I'm using MSVC on NRGs Genesis ROM and it works from Bluetooth as it should. If I get a Chance I'll install CVC and give it a try and report back.
Gordon
it would be nice if someone can mange to transplant needed files... I like the bluetooth stack on TP2, really better than usual, but this thing needs more attention from HTC and the 3rd party developers.
msvc is 3 years old as of now, no newer versions, same as cvc... too bad, technology evolved a lot it 3 years, and these programs might improve really really much!! especially the recognition algorythm, and functions.
well, I hope the new wm6.5 will bring some BT improvements for TP2 then...do not want to stick with custom roms yet. keeping my fingers crossed!
should you manage to try, let us know about cvc and make a little comparison for us! you lucky! ;-)
cheers
I´m usign Smaberg´s Touch X "HERO" EDITION and VC works just fine.

As my touch screen has died I am without a TP2, so I can't do this for the moment
Gordon
I've had this problem sometimes on my VZW CDMA Touch Pro 2. my solution has been to turn off the headset and turn it back on. It seems the problem starts for me when I have the headset on when rebooting the phone. Possibly MSVC doesn't detect the presence of the headset or something to that effect.

There are two common BlueTooth stacks in use. The Widcomm/Braodcom one and the Microsoft one. An app that is built again one stack will not work with the other.
Sounds like BlueXard requires the MS one. I was under the impression that the TP2 had the MS stack (most HTC devices do) but maybe it uses the other stack.
Your only hope is to change the stack and this didn't used to be feasible. Maybe you can find a ROM that does use the MS stack and flash to that.
