Well, the title says it all. I have an HTC hermes laying around doing much of nothing. The phone kept dropping signal and rather than fool with it, I upgraded. There are obviously some cosmetic marks and such on the phones case ( cheap to make like new on ebay ) The screen is in pretty decent shape and the backlight / lcd / touchscreen all work perfectly and are about $50USD on their own). Anyone looking for the entire LCD assembly or other parts to work on theirs ( or if you want to fix the issue this one has ), this would be perfect. If you have ANY questions, please feel free to send me a message Attached you will find some pics of the actual phone .Im offering it to the best offer obviously. Well my HD2 is now a paper weight not due to a bad flash, but because the touch screen no longer work.
The screen is cracked and a piece of it is missing, I'm not sure if i should order lcd screen, digitizer, or both. I attach a picture of the crack in hoping someone with some knowledge can help me out.
Also does anyone know of a place in Long Beach, CA area that can provide screen/digitizer replacement service at a fairly reasonable price.

That looks like a digitizer problem, does the lcd screen turn on at all?

everything works except for the touch part.

phone is in great condition. The screen is new and recently and replaced.
Though there is two small cracks on the bottom of hd2 below the buttons nothing really. and the charger port is loose

Phone has a custom chromed backplate to it as seen in the picture.
With the phone I'll package two stock batteries one extended battery (along with the backcover for it) two cases, a leather pouch(the belt thing) and a leather holder for it.

1) Place a paper with your id (as on xda, ie.adolfo778) beside the phone in the photo to assure the phone is real and with you and not some random photo taken from net.
2) Would be better if you had placed this in the marketplace forums although a mod might just shift it soon.

Hello everyone, i need an help, few days ago my a500 crashed on the floor and you can see the results in the attached picture.
Everything works, also the touch is working..it seems only the external glass broken, but surfing on the net it seems i cannot find any site where to buy replacment parts, someone here maybe could help me?thanks...i hope so, would be a shame to loose a good working tablet just for a broken glass....thanks

Ok, can't help you on spare parts, however, on e-bay and some other android sites, you should be able to find a cheap "bricked tab" (500 or 501, no difference).
When I say bricked, I mean the people who tried installing roms or such, and just couldn't get the tab back running again. Should be able to get one of these pretty cheap (less than $50). And in the forum threads, and You tube, there is info on how to take it apart.
My best guess anyhow.

Its definitely a hw problem so either one of the flex cables has become damaged or loose (thats what happens when you use a cheap flex cable like they did), or the gpu has died.

Edit: Warranty in UK is 2 years for this device, I don't know about the US. Even if its just a years warranty where you live, you might still be within that period. I would personally call up the sony mobile service centre and check. If its out of warranty, then they should atleast give you a price for repair. At the very least, you can compare the cost to local places. Needless to say, cracking it open and attempting to repair it yourself should probably be a last resort.

I didn't see an appropriate sub forum, so I thought I'd post in the general category. I heard of a "marketplace" but searching for that it seemed it had been archived. I've actually got two of these for sale, one is, shall we say, custom. This one is all stock.
I've decided to part with my iMate JasJar after all these years. I wanted to keep it, but I haven't touched it in years. As you can imagine, the batteries I have for it are not good, but the device works great. I think I loaded Tomal's ROM 12 on it the last time.
Unit is in very good shape, comes with some accessories and a charger and the original box. I'm pretty sure it's missing a stylus though. Spare battery and charger too.
