Hello all
i have been told that the Snap can handle 2 GB MicroSD maximum?
could you please confirm that since i am buying MicroSD.
Thanks in Advance, great forum
I use a 8 GB San Disk Mobile Ultra MicroSD HC at the moment. No problem!
I believe its up to 8GB, but if it supports SDHC (4+ GB) then it should be able to support 16GB if u find one...

hey dude i'm using a microsd hc toshiba 4gb but i cant seem to locate it.. seems like it isn;t compatiable?
Backup All the Data on the card (to PC or similar) and use the format tool on the phone. If anything format the SD card on the PC...
Im more than postitive a 16GB (and anything below) card will work. The phone has specifications for SDHC, which is a "Standard". This standard is meant to work with ALL certified MicroSDHC cards (SD Cards over 4GB are SDCH which is backwards compatible with all regular SD Cards 4GB and below).
Your Toshiba 4GB irwinlee could be locked to a specific device, or improperly formatted.

Hermes devices only use micro sd cards
Mike
Thanks for that Mike. Can you just clear one more thing for me please. I can only use a 2gb micro sd card with the M3100 or will these new 4gb micro sd HC cards work?

They are not long out and I have not heard any feedback yet. You could have a look around in the Hermes Accessories board it was being discussed there.
Mike
Thanks for that mike
4GB Micro !!
I just tried one in my Cingular 8525. The device reads 1 GB only. I thought I had a defective card, so I replaced it with another but still it read 1GB. Then I placed a 2GB. It read it as 2 GB. ( 1.93 GB ). Not sure why it couldn't read the 4 though.

This could be because of the way the card is formatted.
I would format using a card reader in a PC to:
FAT32 using 512k sectors size.
if problems remain I have seen a suggestion that you could partition the disk to have 2 X 2Gb partitions.

-Hi guys,
have anyone yet besides me tried to upgrade to a new rom using an 8GB micro sdhc?
when i get into the bootloader with the TITAIMG.NBH on the root of the microsdhc card, it doesn't seem to recognize it even though it shows the 7.6 GB within the OS.
( just in case I'm soft-resetting it with camera and power button being hold.)
ANYONE?

Never mind, it seems that sdcard flashing doesn't work on SDHC cards.

did you try No2Chem's NueSPL? I heard some had success with SDHC cards with his.
My A-Data 8GB is just 4GB in the 6800
At least your A-Data 8GB card (Type 4) is recognized as 8GB. Mine is seen as 8GB in XP but onlu 4GB on my XV6800, even though I've installed the Kahuna SDHC Support Kit cab.
Just a side note, be 100% certain it is FAT32 and not the default FAT(16). Otherwise Oli wont recognize the card

hi Guys,
just tried it and it was a no no. no SDHC support for hardspl at least with my 8 Gigger A-Data sdhc
No dice with Sandisk 8gb sdhc
I tried on my 8gb Sandisk with no luck either. It came formatted with Fat32 from SanDisk - but I didn't try reformatting it yet.
Hello,
I bough a MicroSDHC 4 GB memory card for the prophet, but the only problem is It is not recognizing, some one told me that it is because of the file system of format, my 2 GB micro SD card have FAT format and 4 GB had FAT32 by default, so I reformated it in FAT and still I can't get it working, it's not regognizing.
Well, I saw a thread on web some where saying to download "driver" and install it on the non-supporting MicroSDHC device and it will start recognizing. Is it true?
Please help, if it is possible do tell me some decent way thanks.
FAISAL!!!!!!!
prophet doesnt support sdhc only recognizes sd.....their aint any driver support aswell
I have found this program:
http://www.foro-elrincondedey.com/p...as-tarjetas-sd-hc-funcionen-en-las-pda-2.html
I have instaled on my Qtec, but it doesn't work
hi all
i inserted a 4gb sd card into the dock slot. it was taken straight out of a Canon Powershot S5IS...and it didn't work
havent tried other sd cards
havent checked what format the card is in
i did try rebooting the transformer
did try undocking and then redocking
so hows sd card compatibility? what are your experiences?
i think it only reads it in FAT format.
It reads FAT32 from the miniSD port.
The SD Card Reader on the right side will read FAT and FAT32 formats but it wont read NTFS (for now).
Try putting your SD Card into your pc (if you can), then right click on it and select properties to see how its been formatted.
Mark.

The dock's SD card reader will and does read NTFS. It has since day one on stock or custom kernels............. Guess what it reads SDXC Sd cards too..........

@OP: I know you know but just in case. If/when you format, you will lose everything on the card.
well thank you guys. seems im the only one with sd card issues lol
im just going to have to try changing formats and try formatting..
i just presumed that a sd card pulled out of an older digicam would be in fat32 haha

I hope it works for you. I did test with 3 cards, two old Sandisk (1GB & 2GB) and a new Sandisk 64GB SDXC. They all worked with FAT32 and NTFS and on stock and custom kernels, but I've seen some people having some problems with certain cards and classes of cards. Please post your findings. Good Luck
I got the following cards:
Transcend Secure Digital 64GB SDXC SDXC, SD 3.0, Class 10
Lexar MicroSDHC Card 32GB w/USB reader Class 10, High speed SDHC card with USB reader
The dock reads the SD card formated to NTFS fine (have not tryed to format it to another filesystem)
But the MicroSD card in the tablett itselfe only reads FAT32, and not exFAT or NTFS.
But there are several of You that got tablets that read Your MicroCD cards that are formated to NTFS?

Allow me:
http://www.tuxera.com/partners/operating-systems/ (NTFS, exFAT and HFS+)
and
http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/EeePAD/TF101/TF101_Full_0418d.pdf (page 45 "Tuxera software provides support for NTFS format.")
Considering it actually allowed me to read an HFS+ usb stick....
So, unless there is some weird implementation, it should read those file systems also from the SD card reader.
ext3,ext4 is also supported.
I just tried NTFS on the MicroSD and it was a no go for me. I also tried ext3,ext4 (I'm somewhat new linux ) and that didn't work for me either. That could be me lol. So only FAT32 work for me on the MicroSD
On the SDcard. I could only get FAT32 and NTFS to work.
I tried this with stock .9 (3.0.1), 8.4.4.5 and 8.4.4.7 (3.1). Then with Prime 1.4 (3.1).
The cards I tried:
MicroSD: 3 - Sandisk 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB. I think the classes are 4, 4 and 2
SDcards: 3 - Sandisk 1GB, 2GB, and 64GB SDXC
I'm not saying the other filing systems don't work. I'm just posting what i tried.

Good to read that it's not only me that got problems with the MicroSD card not being willing to work witht he NFTS filesystem.
I recon this is something that Asus can fix with an firmwareupdate?
Anyone tried with USB sticks and external harddrives on NTFS file system?
I gues it should not be any dirrefence between A USB stick and an external HD
wow..
im going to give my problem sd card another go this weekend
well the first thing i plugged in was actually my external hdd. this was just a cheap enclosure with fake "VAIO" lettering on it. it relies on a erm...driver(?) called "USB to IDE Bridge" whenever it's plugged into Windows.
worked flawlessly
interesting...
my Sandisk 4gb SDHC simply refuses to work in NTFS
im guessing this is a problem between different card manufacturer and file system combo
but i can't prove it as i don't have too many sd cards lying around.
well at least i'm glad my sd card works now. i shoved it back into the camera formatted as FAT and the cam can use it just fine.
I'm pretty sure I did copy some files over to the MicroSD card when I hade formated it to NTFS before I tryed it on the TF
Not sure now tho so I will do a new test.
But if I am correct it got nothing to do with the card and the filesystem, rather with the TF and filesystems on different card-slots wich I find strange that they let it read one filesystem in one place and not in another place on the tablett.
I was wondering if the 400gb is working in the note pro with marsmallow custom rom ?
Thanks
yes the MicroSD reader admit SDXC, and Filer System Extfat, the note pro can read Micro SD cards to 2TB. I have a 400GB Micros SD on it
Yes it can, I have had a 400GB for about a year now. Still am at Android 4.4.2 - I found that even though the card comes pre-formatted, it is best to let the tablet reformat it first. Then pull the card out and fill it with your content. There is never enough space.
