Does anyone know of any software with which I could send and receive faxes?

This is a nokia function but how can this be done on an xda2? I can beam contacts via infrared and bluetooth but there is no option to send the contact details via sms.
Please help me.

sorry but that is not possible with the xda2. maybe with the next rom update. even voice dialing is not possible.
Anyone have any idea how to send call forwording information to the network, similar to how cprog does when you update settings?
I hope HTC are reading this. Universal has everything. It's like a mini PC but KSE Truefax doesnot work nor any other program for fax. I use my Communicator 9500 extensively for fax without any third party fax program. I would have jumped to Jasjar if fax worked on this.
Another wish list, but not so important is, a small externel screen to view phone nos and number key board outside for dialling.

(well actually it was with PumaFax but the got swallowed by eFax and thats who I am with now).
I am running my own fax gateway service. For people who live in austria, this would be interesting, as you get your own austrian number where you can receive faxes.
Received faxes are converted to pdf and sent via email. Push email I am also offering.
Of course, it would be nice, to have a direct from and to the device fax.

in this method the sender's phone number will be hidden on all sony ericsons.

i can tell you how i do it with t-mobile. they got a short number where i have to send the sms. the first line of the sms has to be the email-adress of the recipient. t-mobile converts the sms into a nice desing standart email including my phone-number. call your provider service center, i guess that must work for you too.

Someone told me that there is a program for wm that hide's your number when you send an sms.is it true?and if it is,where can i find this program?

As far as I know, this isn't related to software in any way.
The SMS protocol requires sending the sender's number.
Even your cell operator cannot hide its number while sending SMS.

Well there is a program "Hush SMS" which sends flash sms ...it sometimes doesnt display number of the sender. however it doesnt work with all the recieptent devices. I have seen that if i send sms from my HTC Touch Diamond to the person having nokia cell phone the number gets displayed. While sending to someone having Samsung phone it doesnt display the number. Hence its not 100% working software. but u can try ur luck.
