Facebook, Msn, Skype integration - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV Themes and Apps

Hi to all.
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.
In the last days i was looking at the new phone of my Girlfriend. It is a INQ mobile phone. The phone is budget friendly and simple to use, but it has some interesting options. There is the possibility to sync the contact of messenger, skype and facebook (in the future twitter it seems...) whit the phone contacts. I know that facebook and phone contacts can be actually synchronised, but the interesting thing is that you can see if the person you search is online and contact her whitout searching the single applications.
Ok, i'm pretty bad at explaining so i adda screenshot

is there an application for the diamond that does the same thing?? Could it be implemented in future Roms?
and last question, is there an application that allows us to sync the facebook calendare whit the phone calender?
As alwas, sorry for my bad english and thx for the answers.

not sure but try Nimbuzz or Fring.. maybe they'll work.. they do support all chat clients

i know that they work whit many chatt clients, but its not what i'm searching for.
Actually, if i'm not wrong, the facebook engine is integrated in the TF3D2. So i was asking if there could be also a msn and skype integration.

Try palringo mate. it's the best and may do what you want.

thx, but its not what i'm looking for.
Newermind.
Dd any of you know how to synch the facebook events whit the diamond calendar? is it possible?

ThereĀ“s something called social network integration... have to find it

u can use fring..it has msn, yahoo, gtalk, skype, twitter n more except facebook..n its not vga but it does a great job..google it n u'll b suprised by its potential...!!!!

Flexmail 2007 Issue

Someone is having problem with this tool i think is perfect like alternative to Pocket Outlook but every time i send a message the receiver miss the BODY of the MAIL (like I'm sending just the subject) think has to be something in the setting but i try and no way to have this fixed.....thanks to everyone.....
i don't know what it can be. Try sending an email to yourself first that'll arrive on your phone.
Then try sending it to one of your web based accounts, and see how that works.
But i am guessing if it's going to a phone like yours, then it's probably on their end the problem is occurring. I have been using flexmail for a few weeks and no problems so far.
I use FlexMail on my 6700 and my 6800 without any issues.
Highly recommended!!!
i have this problem with Gmail on my mogul. i have it set up using the IMAP server, i'm not sure which end is having the problem. luckily i can just pull up IE and go to gmail and read the body that way.
edit: i'm not using Flexmail btw, but i heard this was supposed to fix this kind of thing ???
I've used Flexmail for a couple of years and must say it's by far the best email application available for the Windows Mobile platform.
Some of the best features are:
Support for HTML email
Support for Exchange, POP3, IMAP4
SSL, Socks, and Full Authentication SMTP Support
Rules engine to custom sort incoming email

Highly recommended, make for a much better email experience on your Pocket PC. (I use a Sprint Mogul -aka- Titan, with Windows Mobile 6)

MilkSync - Online Task list Manager

Just realised there's not much info floating around here about the awesome Remember The Milk task syncing app - I consider it a "must have" app for all my devices.
http://www.rememberthemilk.com/services/milksync/windowsmobile/
Basically it syncs your device task list with their online website, allowing you to keep track of things you need to do from any PC anywhere. The actual website is smooth web 2.0 goodness. Its free for 15 days and they then require you to upgrade to the pro version for $15 with additional features, but the free version is just fine (and I guess you can keep registering new accounts once the trial expires).
The app can be set to sync over-the-air manually or when cradled - or every 5/10/x minutes, so you don't have to worry about hidden data usage, and can be configured for 1 or 2-way syncing. Also, it doesn't mess up anything when you use the regular WM6 ActiveSync. The only catch is no proxy support.

PS. I dont work for them or anything, I just think its a kickass system.
They also have a ff plugin to integrate RTM with GMail.
I use GMail IMAP, RTM(MilkSync, FF Plugin, http://code.google.com/p/rememberthemoof/), and OggSync(calendar+contacts).
I wish they could develop a nice slick Windows Mobile app to use with the RTM service, just like they've recently done with the iPhone app.

Best Calendar / Tasks App for the Touch Pro 2 ?

Keep them coming !
I use iAgenda or tasksmanila (only for tasks).
+1 for thumbcal. Only one I've tried but it does everything I wanted it to... And as a graphics guy I like the ability to switch themes or customize your own.
Anyone have any comments about doing a "Getting Things Done" approach to Task/Time/Calendar Management with the TP2 ?
If so, comment on this thread.
Pocket Informant is a very powerfull PIM application.

yes for me its a great feature as I can keep business and home calendars separate as well as I also sync my wifes google calendar, so I know where the kids are! I haven't found another that will do it. there is a bit of setting up involved on the google end but it now works well.

Shopping list app with sync of some sort.

My wife wants to make a shopping list using her laptop and then be able to send that list to her phone so that she can check off items as she gets them at the store. I've tried looking and there are a ton of really nice shopping list apps, but she wants to type up the list on the pc not on the phone. Does anyone know of anything like that?
Even a simple thing like typing up a document in google docs and then having that sync would be ok, it would just be nice if there was a check off option. I have ColorNote that can make check lists and I really like it, but my lists are not as long as hers since she is the one that does all the grocery shopping.
The one I really like is http://www.ourgroceries.com/overview. It's a free app. It works on many different platforms including web. You just create your own List and you can then share it with anyone.

I like TurboList.
It doesn't sync like you want.
BUT It has Voice Input that is DEAD ON.
I have a thick country accent and voice input usually doesn't work for me at all. This one works great.
And you can check stuff off the list as you get it.
That OurGroceries one looks like exactly what she is looking for! Thanks a ton!
No Problem
http://rememberthemilk.com
and then get the app astrid to sync with remember the milk.
remember the milk is more of a task list but I see no reason you can't use it as a shopping list. If you both got separate accounts then there is a way to send tasks to each other.
My girlfriend and I use cloudlist to sync our shopping lists. It updates real time and you can allow others to add to the list (or not).

Another vote for OurGroceries. We love it. Even some mild entertainment when you know your wife is at the store, you can tell where she is just by what items she's checking off!

Google as default calendar?

I apologize in advance if this question has been asked before, but, I absolutely HATE how the stupid samsung calendar is the default cal when making new events! I SWEAR THEY ARE STILL STUCK IN FEATURE PHONE WORLD! ahem, sorry for the outburst. Any way, is three a way to change that?
i'd like to know too.

X2 ^^ ... one feature that I missed the most that was on my G1 is the hyperlink of URL, address & phone number.
Especially the hyperlink for address, I drive around town alot for work, and plan my destinations on Calendar the night before. Not having the hyperlink to address has been a PITA.
s0niqu3 was able to push the stock 2.1 apps on to the Vibrant. Check out his post below. I haven't tried it out myself though.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=731822&highlight=calendar
Yeah nothing is more frustrating than putting in the address and when you want to navigate to it, it well doesn't work.
More specifically:
Replace touch wiz calendar with google default

That bar on top pisses me off, but I would rather have a tiny annoyance than using the TouchWiz calendar.
Follow the directions though, you have to remove the TouchWiz Calendar and TouchWiz Calendar Provider FIRST with a root file explorer or ADB (which I never got working), and then uninstall the residuals from Settings>Applications. THEN push/move the two apk's in the linked thread to system/app, then reboot.
You will lose access to a few TouchWiz widgets, and the home dock app won't work.
