Losing reception - G1 General

Hi
I have an unlocked g1 using a three sim in the UK.
I have only had it about 10 days, for the first 5 days or so it would switch to 2g quite a lot and not switch back, which was not too much of a problem.
But for the last 3 or 4 days it will completely lose connection up to 4 times a day, only way to fix is to restart or choose the 3 network again in the options.
I had the problem originally with the standard tmob rom and i have switched to the CyanogenMod yesterday and updated the latest radio again and it has just done it again.
it even does it if the phone is just sat on the desk.
Anyone else having similar probs?
cheers

[Q] Wildfire limited service problem 2 phones

I see similar threads but no real solutions.
I bought a brand new HTC wildfire from three. After a few weeks it lost phone connection and wouldn't reconnect showing limited service. It wont reconnect unless the phone is power cycled or airplane mode is turned on/off.
It will do it again in few days or even weeks, maybe the next day
Three have wiped it / I got a new sim card, after a few days same problem. I left it for 12 hours still would not reconnect to phone service without cycling.
Finally I got a new phone last week, and today ... it lost connection and would not reconnect without cycling. Seems to be plenty of people out there on other forums with the same experience.
Is this a HTC bug?
Other than that I love it. There is a nokia on the same network in the house and it never loses signal.
I usually have the same problems, but it will reconnect after a while. I also usually have problems connecting to wifi-networks, and the only thing that will fix the WiFi issue is to factory reset the phone
Is the rom up to date

Yes. 2.2.1 Stock rom unrooted.

[Q] No Signal, Factory Reset

Guys
any of you had any bother with your mobile signal?
I'm on Vodafone and from this morning my signal bars are empty and I have no mobile signal.
I tried selecting Vodafone and Automatically select from the mobile signal menu, never made any difference.
I did a factory reset of the phone and it worked great, logged into google, restored my apps etc and it was all good
Then 5 minutes ago the same happened again, no signal and nothing I do makes it come back on bar another factory reset???
I've tested my sim in another phone and it is fine, no drop outs, no issues, I hope it's not a faulty phone (
Any one else had similar or can think what would be causing this?
Thanks
UPDATE -
Happened again, no signal bars, no connection
so this time rather than a full factory reset I removed the apps I had reinstalled, which were Spotify, Facebook, Twitter, Tapatalk and Whatsapp, rebooted the phone and my signal is back to full strength again???
Could one of the above apps be the problem?, is that even possible?
Its got to be some software problem.. These apps cannot cause such a problem
thats what I thought.
I've left the apps off for now, and if the signal seems ok after a couple of hours I will start putting the apps back on one by one and see if anything obvious happens.
The only App I thought maybe could cause it would be whatsapp as it ties in with your mobile number.....I'll see what happens throughout the day
happened to me once, all I did was put it into airplane mode and then back out of it again, and all was well
Same thingg happened to me. I'm on tmo though. Its defective. Waiting for replacement
I take it you've all changed your SIM cards to be on the safe side?
My experience is that the signal does have a tendency to drop out in weak reception areas and is slow to pick it back up again. I'm on vodafone in the UK.
I'm on orange and today I had nothing but problems. Dropping signal and everything I am not sure if orange is having problems. Had a HTC one s before never lost the little H above the signal bars.
Should I look at getting a replacement sorted.

I'm having the same problem with T-mobile in the US. It seems to mostly be an issue for me in areas of weak coverage. A reboot or any other way of resetting the phone connection fixes it, but still...
Been happening all day. Even now I have no mobile signal and yet I am on here using mobile data.
Usually a full reset would bring the signal back for a while then it would go again. On one occasion putting it into aeroplane mode then back again worked, but only the once. It looks like I'm taking it back this weekend unfortunately.
i had this issue when i first got the handset on o2, but after a while and me putting the o2 sim in, it picked up signal, swapped out for my orange sim and hey presto started working fine. It's been like that for a week now, but last night the battery died when i was asleep and after a charge this morning, no signal again on my orange sim. I'm in work now so cant swap out for my o2 sim as its at home, but will try and borrow somebody elses sim to test when they get in the office later this morning, Very annoying!
same issue discussed here: CLICK
Just tried another sim, o2 this time. Same issue, so back to shop on Saturday. Question is do I get another one or plump for the sIII or an htc

[Q] nexus 4 signal/radio problem

Hello,
During the past couple of weeks my nexus has been losing its cell signal every few minutes. It's like clockwork. If I completely wipe the room and start from scratch, its fine, but after a few days it always starts to do it again. Has anybody ever seen this? It was doing this on paranoid android, so I decided to leave it and go back to aokp. No luck. Cache wipes do nothing, rebooting it is sometimes a temporary fix. I am not using a custom kernel, and I don't ever flash new radios!
Any ideas? Thanks!

I have similar problem: Signal failure if I charge him.
I had nearly the same issues with my N4! But I don't life in the USA! I'm from Germany...
Over the he last 3 weeks me and my girlfriend lost network signal every 3-5 minutes... First times I was also wondering if that's because of a new rom I flashed or if the baseband doesn't fit with some of my kernel/rom combinations.
After 3 days I recognized that my girlfriend got the also this kind of issues, but she on a galaxy nexus!
So I started searching the Internet if other people have the same problems (especially the same issues but not related the N4)!
So in our case the problem is Vodafone Germany. Vodafone is building a new lte/4G/umts infrastructure and because of this they are shut down some of their network antennas in my area! After switching my phone to a 2g connection most of the problems are gone... And my mobile network speed also! :-\
So try to switch to 2g and see if it's fix your situation!
I get some money back from my provider because of the problems!
But the most important thing is that my N4 is ok!
Same problem as Ümit only losing signal when charging the phone. Does anyone have a potential solution?

[Q] ROM or hardware issue?

Currently running AllianceROM 4.4.2 on my Note 3 - For the longest time I was on straight-talk service, and after a while I kept having issues with crappy signal strength, Slow internet speeds and general reliability issues - Well, I went back to Verizon just yesterday and it seems to be worse. I've got 2 maybe 3 bars of service at my house, where as everyone else in my house (On Verizon, but with iPhone 4s, and iPhone 5) getting 4+ bars and 4G LTE. I sometimes get my LTE, but other times it is just 3G.
Sometimes my service will drop out completely, I won't have a signal at all..It comes back after a few moments though.
So I am wondering if this is a hardware issue, or issue with something on the ROM? Maybe I need to reset my phone, or upgrade the modem?
Also - My text messages are coming in strange orders. I will send one, Get a reply... But the reply will be above what I sent to them before, saying it was received an HOUR ago. Even though I just got it. Or it will receive twice, and one reply will be an hour ago, and the other will be current. I've cleared all data settings in my messaging app, and checked / changed my automatic time / time-zone settings.
Any ideas?

S7 Edge G935W8 No Network

Hello Everyone
I have been using my S7 edge for the past two years without any problems. However a week ago I dropped my phone and then problems started. At times the capacitive touch buttons (back and recent apps) would not work. There is no response at all then after some time it would again work. Now it has stopped working completely. Secondly I experienced network signals drop for 3 4 hours and then everything worked fine but now it has been 5 days since my mobile signals have gone completely. When I manually search for mobile network, it doesn't even show my network. It's like the frequency band has completely vanished. Is it hardware or software issue? Plus my phone charges slowly now and keep on getting hot.
Any suggestions please.
Thanks

You may want to remove the back and check for loose connections. Depending on your particular skill set and available tools, it's not that difficult a process.
