Does anyone know if this would include the spl to it or not? Would like but not nessicary to have a backup of that as well if it is needed or not.

I found these one's:
Cyogen Makin' Bacon

Can I just flash these one's on my phone now when it's unlocked? How do I do that? When I'm flashing Cyogen's Makin Bacon Addon, how do I do that? Can that only be done Bacon Addon, how do I do that? Can that only be done through ADB? Or can I use fastboot?

theres a tutorial in the development section, but the breakdown is you need to boot into the bootloader by holding powerbutton+trackball then once in there by fastboot on your pc run the fastboot oem unlock command.
OK
But the problem is that I have flashed my N1 with superboot. It is working OK. But I want the new recovery as mentioned above. Then can I just flash the N1 the same way I flashed it with Superboot?

no actually you just put the cyanogens rom on your sd cards root folder, then in your recovery thing you just apply any zip if you have RA's Recovery.
OK
Will this overwrite the Superboot incl. It's apps (Superuser Permission)? Or what will happen to it?
Br

he's cyanogen.
yes it overwrites them but it auto installs another copy of su permission. and kozm0naunt were aware thanks for the spam though

Hey everyone sup? I need Help Because my client has a Droid Eris phone, he has stuff that he dont want to loose, i never re-flashed or programmed a droid phone but i have experience in computer repair because i own my own computer company at home, i know C++ programming etc. but i never hacked a droid before, can one of you give me an tutorial on what i need (tools etc) andbasic instructions on hacking his phone to where he can do custom apps and use any carrier or plan on his phone like sprint, att, etc..???? thx alot if u can, plus ill help anyone with advice for computer related issues cause im the man when it comes to computer problems.
How about a sticky that says "If you can't understand the unlocking and flashing procedures listed on this site, then you had better not try to do anything with your phone as it will most likely end in tears".
Seems like that would help. If you need to ask questions, you haven't researched enough. And will most likely get stuck and come crying back here, or even end up bricking your phone and having to throw it in the garbage.

Well, as you seem like you should be smarter then this, this is the Nexus One forums. This board has forums for all sorts of HTC phones, and I'm sure you'd get a great answer, if you posted in the right section. Or, even, how about doing a Google search? You'd probably get more answers from that too, then from posting in the wrong forum. Thanks for stopping by though.

New Device, System, Operator ?'s

Hi all!
I did try searching, might be too simple...
New to Android, etc...
Windows and Toshiba taught me to always download original files and archive them for later recovery, drivers, etc... to factory recovery years later when needed.
Now with this...
I think I was at JRN84D (4.1) when purchased on vacation, took OTA update to JRO03D (4.1.1).
At Google, ONLY JRO03D is available.
? Should I hunt around to find and archive JRN84D (or ask for someone else's archive PM) or will JRO03D always be THE factory recover baseline for this device?
?If they replace JRO03D with something else, will those always be then considered the factory baseline? (Or should I keep a progression of images?)
?I think since this is flashed, that my OE file (JR84D) is truly gone forever, since JRO03 is flashed 'over' it, and I can never really factory recover to 'out of the box' state - am I right?
(Trying to get my ducks in a row to start trying Mskip's package...)
THANKS
As long as you have the net Mskips tool will download a stock rom and flash it for you anyway

ROM/ DISK Drive devices.Failure rate .
There is a huge difference in A Tablet os then the tradition installation of windows. Windows is a compiled bunch of software running on a Disk drive.. High Failure rate.
Android Tablet phone/ devices. These are firmware running on a non destructible ROM CHIP. if you are totally stock..and never change that. There is a pre made so to speak backup built in.. This will restore your device to its original state.
You can download the latest firmware os / kernel from gogle as i see you have found already. Be SURE you have and know how to use the tools to flash the software in case of a non boot situation.. I would not count on the install tools mentions above.. FASTBOOT ADB AND BOOT-LOADER COMMANDS .... If you really want to learn about android and understand arm devices more . Lots of information with a google search..
So what im saying is a Un rooted tablet have a very low almost near software error rate. (A QUICK RESTORE WILL FIX EASLY)
If you are not root and you mess up your tablet simple fix.
If you root your tablet and install a custom recovery.. Then you need to save the tools to install the recovery the recovery files. The Boot-Loader files and the ROM. YOU are using or want to use.. Could be stock ROM CUSTOM ROM. if you use a custom kernel you need this as well.
You should also first boot into the CUSTOM Recovery MADE A NANDROD BACKUP... This will be your ticket to restore the device quickly and easy.
I know this is alot of vague information but it kinda touches what your asking..
Good luck .. Guys feel free to fill in the blanks and correct my mistakes.. OOPS Erica makes no mistakes right .. hehe
THX all - I've , let's see - unlocked, rooted, flashed a new rom, restored 'factory' rom, unrooted and relocked - whew!
I think there is a real problem with terminology for OE roms - both by users and the OE. My device says factory or factory state in it somewhere - but that is clearly not what it means. It means current factory or something like that - and that it will never be back to the out-of-the-box factory state. Apparently, I can only ever get back to the cleared-of-user, current 'factory' state.
Anyway, I've a recovery method and the current rom stored for the future.
Is there a site that store earlier roms?

Have a Google Edition One? Look here before you do ANYTHING to it!

So it has been reported that GE HTC One's are shipping. We would like to get all the paritions dumped so that we can use the images to fully convert our normal Ones into full fledged Google Edition Ones.
Before you do ANYTHING with it (before you root, before you flash a recovery etc...) Follow these directions courtesy of cschmitt Found Here This will ensure we get all the partitions
I have pasted the steps below. This will help the community out greatly!
cschmitt said:
I have a windows command script that uses adb to dump and pull every partition from a One, excluding cache (meaningless) and userdata (to large).
He would need adb and fastboot on his computer, no need for S-off, since we are only reading partitions.
Generally the process would be:
Enable USB Developer options and USB debugging on phone.
Connect phone to usb, install drivers from zip folder if prompted.
Copy SuperSU-v1.41.zip to sd card.
Reboot into bootloader. (Power off, hold power on an vol-down.)
Open command prompt into \htconedump folder.
Unlock bootloader, fastboot oem unlock should do it.
Reboot back into bootloader (via hboot menu.)
From command prompt:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot boot openrecovery-twrp-2.5.0.0-m7.img (Take note we are not flashing recovery, just booting into it so we can root. If you flash the recovery we will not be able to get the stock GE recovery pulled)
Once TWRP boots, flash SuperSU-v1.41.zip via TWRP to root device.
Reboot back into system.
Run pullmmc01-37.cmd command script from a windows command prompt.
Zip up the dump directory containing all of the mmcblk0p??.bin files.
I've packaged everything up into a zip file containing ADB, fastboot, HTC drivers, superuser.zip, TWRP image, and the pullmmc01-37.cmd command script.

Also make sure to take note of your CID in the bootloader and also report that in this thread. You can get this by running fastboot getvar all while in the bootloader. The MID and the CID will be listed. Please make note of both.
I would advise anyone doing it that they do it without fully setting up the phone because once you unlock the bootloader it will wipe your data. So boot into android and just skip through the whole set up process because you'll just have to do it again after you unlock the bootloader
EDIT: Got this info from the Dump thread on Android Central. Just need to confirm it's correct with someone who has the device

We have the system and the boot.img but for us to do a full conversation we need the bootloader, the recovery etc.. Sure, we can all run the rom now but if we get ALL the partitions dumped we can essentially convert our normal ones into full fledged google editions (I think if we had just the bootloader and the recovery we would be ok)
Have you asked Mike?
we would need the 4.3 system dump

Mike used the same dump everyone has been using. It was only system and boot not the bootloader or recovery. The guy who did the dump flashed a custom recovery before he did the dump so we did not get the stock GE recovery which is needed if we want a full conversion and be able to get OTA's just like the GE One would get.

Yeah here is to wishing they ship with 4.3 lol
The idea here is not for us to be able to run the rom but to fully do a conversion. As of now we have the 4.2.2 rom and boot image. I have two ones and I want to fully convert one to a GE. I know others are interested in performing a full conversion as well. And if we do the full conversion when the 4.3 OTA drops we would get it as an OTA and not have to wait for other devs to package it all up for everyone

Ok. I assumed that, due to the delay in Mike releasing his GE rom, that he had perhaps acquired his own information.

Hey! I remember you! Didn't you use one of my roms at one time(Either on the HTC View or GS3)? If I remember correctly you're also from NY?
This is a great idea. If not for the missing T-Mobile LTE band I would have bought the GE. I hope you get what you need. Would probably cure my Flashaholics disease too, if you're always up to date with the latest and greatest.

Please, I need prog_emmc_firehose_8996.mbn (.elf) for QFIL [I offer donation]

Hello, thank you very much for reading, I hope you can help me. I need one or more files to be able to recover my phone: Samsung Galaxy S7 Active.
These are the files that I need:
prog_emmc_firehose_8996.mbn (.elf)
rawprogram0.xml
patch0.xml
I do not know if I would also need these:
MPRG8996.hex
rawprogram_unsparse.xml
I think these files are the same as prog_emmc_firehose_8996.mbn (.elf):
8996_msimage.mbn
MSM8996.mbn
How did I make a brick my phone? Installing the first official version:

Previously I used this version without any problem:
G891AUCS2API2_CL8737252_QB10881022_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT
I wish someone could help me, I have read more than 50 pages, but I have not been able to solve the problem.

why you want this emmc_firehose_8996.mbn?
actually, i think that you don't need that file especially, it doesn't exist from where i've searched.
if it's to flash your phone all you need is odin and a flashable file of your phone firmware

but i managed to unlock it by flashing a custom rom without gapps in the first place to no get locked out.

Hello, sorry for my bad English. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S7 Active (SM-G891A). I will try to explain what happened.
I had this version of Android 6 installed (via Odin) on the phone:
G891AUCS2API2_CL8737252_QB10881022_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT
With that version my phone was fine, but then I tried to install the first version of Android 6 (official) via Odin:
SM-G891A_G891AUCU1APG7_ATT_Full_Repair_Frimware
When the installation was completed (Odin said the installation was successful), the phone never restarted. There is no way to turn it on with any combination of buttons, nor with a microSD with a debrick.img. A USB JIG has not worked for me either.
Windows detects my phone in Qualcomm 9008 mode. Odin does not detect it.
did you find a solution?
actually it look like to be a hard brick but as it's snapdragon 820 you can recover from it
I'm waiting for the day when noobs and half-noobs (no offense, all of us have been there) will start reading before writing and stop assuming that their 1st aid kit will revive a kitten ran over by a train.
It's okay not to know, but before writing a spam reply, just consider for a second that the user already tried your solution and is already a step ahead.
Listen guy, go to Halab Tech. They have certain firmwares for what you need, but they ask money.
Those type of firmwares have a prefix "DEBUG_EMERGENCY_DOWNLOAD_FA....'
In my case it's "DEBUG_EMERGENCY_DOWNLOAD_FA70_G955U1SQU6ASG1_CL12542406_QB24669289_REV00_user_mid_noship_MULTI_CERT.tgz"
As I consider that a bastard move (since they are selling Samsung's intellectual property as their own, stuff that should be public in the first place), I encourage you to share the files if you buy them, so that we can all use them and screw over these monopoly playing-intellectual property stealing bastards.
I'm now working on a recovery of my G955U1 (S8+ Qualcomm USA). I paid $25 for a god damn firmware and I'm gonna post it in next couple of days.
I'm personally having trouble of flashing the firmware (because not many flash tools support flashing .elf flash loaders), but I used one FRP tool (Octoplus FRP tool) to check the loader and it managed to send it, receive the "hello" packet, read partitions and erase the FRP partition (I assume it worked by the log), but I don't have a way to flash other partitions yet.
You people should have in mind one thing: even though certain devices have the same chipset, doesn't mean that you can use the same firehose flash loader, since manufacturers create different loaders for them and write their digital signatures into the chip (don't know is it hardwired or flashed), meaning that you cannot use Xiaomi's prog_ufs_firehose_8998_ddr.elf (just an example) to flash a Samsung device with MSM8992 chipset.
In fact, I think that each phone model and possibly even it's different firmware revisions have unique loaders, since I didn't manage to get a successful response from my G955U1 by sending G955U2 loader, and the loader which I managed to send is actually stated to be for G955U1U6 (U6 is the bootloader revision number, while U1 is the part of the model number).
Best of luck, contact me if you need help.

Mobvoi TicWatch S2 / E2 Rom needed.

Hey folks..
Due to bad luck my TicWatch S2 died during a firmware update process. (I was not flashing...the system was)
It seems that the boot.img got corrupted and now it will not boot at all.
Fastboot is still working so i thought i might be able to just flash the original stock firmware.
Which is exactly what brought me here.... I can not find it anywhere on the web.
I have emailed MobVoi but of course there was no response.
They suggested to send it in but this is just no feasible since the watch will be gone for at least 3 months...costs involved etc etc.
Makes no sense to send anything back to china these days.
My current rom is/was : PWDR.190618.001.A1
It would be great if someone could help me out here.
Or even a way to root it since a friend of mine has the same watch but we do not have the means to extract the ROM without root.

fastboot oem unlock is all that is needed to unlock them.
As far as I know there is no way to grab the recovery or boot image through fastboot tho.
While in recovery the abd is disabled so that is a no go too.
If you know of a way to create a 'fastboot' backup ..please let me know.

Good News! I've digged a bit and got to make a backup! You do however, need to use TWRP, that means unlocking the bootloader if you are able.
The Ticwatch E/S2 doesn't have an officially supported TWRP image, however, I used the Ticwatch C2 because it's the same CPU. You could try to use another ticwatch's image, though. For the C2, however, there was an offset on for the buttons. I'll be uploading my backup as soon as I can

Awesome :good:
Going to try it ASAP.
Personally, I could not get any of the twrps to boot at all...and I do not want to permanently flash it since i do not have the original.
Skipjack seems to be the best bet but looking at the git repo i do not see why it will not boot.
Weird...will keep at it tho.

Edit...i guess that bricked it.
I am just getting a black screen with
Device software can't be checked for corruption.
To pause boot press side button.
I can not even get back into fastboot mode. Ah crap.
If i could only find the test points for the bootloader
wish there is a way that I can switch my S2 to international ROM....

Sending it back is really not an option. Mobvoi is notorious for taking forever to even process your request.
Plus..sending it back and forth...with an unlocked bootloader etc etc...they will just say it was my own damn fault.
Which in a way it was. Should have sent it back when it first happened if anything.
I managed to get the watch into QDL mode tho. Not that his helps me much since i do not have the firmware binaries needed for that mode.
Can you put your S2/E2 into fastboot without using adb commands ? Like with the old E it was keeping the button pressed..waiting for vibration then press again a few times.
With the S2/E2 this does not work any more.
It can only be the boot that is damaged..nothing else. So the watch itself is pretty much still functional.
In case i figure it out i will post the details here.
Nicolas

Hi, thanks for the backup files. Can you please let me know how do I use your E2 backup to flash my watch? I tried adb but it seems it needs .ab file to restore. And none of the TWRP works for S2.
Can anyone please share their latest Ticwatch s2/e2 backup of twrp/adb of latest firmware

Awfully late reply and I apologize but; I suggest you take a look at this;
https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/other-smartwatches/rom-kernel-t3821013
And check in the downloads, they have the STOCK as well as a CUSTOM rom for the E2 (again, should be 100% Compatible with S2) but also has a TWRP Build.
To answer your question; I'd suggest grabbing the TWRP for the E2 and boot into it, push my backup (or the stock or custom rom from the link above), and then make a backup of yours, and then flash the backup or rom; clear data and cache and reboot
