GPRS auto disconnect - Touch Cruise 2 General

Hi all!
Do you know of a program which can terminate data connection (GPRS, EDGE, 3G) after a few minutes of inactivity? I've tried the following softwares:
- Advanced Configuration Tool 3.3
With this the data connection immediately disconnects if i quit opera for example. This is good, but if i check my emails on the manila2d tab it won't disconnect.
Also tried this one, but it's not working...
Is there a working solution for Iolite? I'm not worried about the data charges just don't want my phone to be constantly connected to GPRS, because that eats up my battery faster.
Thanks for the help!

I´m using this program... http://www.gb-soft.cz/XDAII/product_gprs-umts_tweak_wm61_diamond.htm
Try it !!!

try this: GPRS_1_Minute_Auto_Disconnect.CAB

GPRS/3G connection problem with o2 XDA Excec.

Hi guys,
I'm all new to your forum...
I have the o2 xdII, xdaIIs and now i'm using the xda Exec.
I have a strange problem that even o2 technical support team can't fix...
When i start internet explorer it will connect to either gprs or 3g (whatever is available). when i finish browsing the internet, i just close internet explorer and then close the connection by clicking the disconnect button. Where my problem is, is when i want to reconnect to the internet again (say 5 mins after i close the last connection), i cant get any connection whatsoever. I have a good receiption (gprs and 3g). And i have this weird message :
Dialed: mobile.o2.co.uk
The answering modem has disconnected. To check your connection settings and change them if needed, tap Settings.
So after a lot of talking with o2, i still have this problem.
I have tried to uprgrade to the new rom, and nothing, i have change the settings of the cennection, still nothing. i even changed the handset as i and o2 thought it could have been a faulty handset, but still nothing...
The only solution at the present is to do a soft reset everytime i want to connect to the internet... Its very annoying !!!!
Would annyone have a solution ??? Please ?????
Thank you in advance for your help....
Personally; I wouldn't suggest closing the connection and you won't get charged any extra.
this is easy to fix, but you will lose some software you've got installed.
I had this problem and have worked it out to be conflicts between software that handles the phone line. I had mortring, phonealarm and photo contacts pro installed and my gprs would not reconnect after the 2nd attempt. Putting the phone into flight mode and then back into normal mode would allow gprs to reconnect but only once.
So I uninstalled the above 3 applications one by one and found the gprs would reconnect great with only one installed (any one it didn't matter)
So try removing software that handles the phone line until your gprs reconnect works.

WTF ?!
Just keep the Red button (hang off) ~3 seconds. It will cancel the DATA connection. Then you'll be able to surf over wifi.
Same procedure with messenger in case of you want it working through Wi-fi instead of DATA/GSM/3G connection

Well:
- start your wifi and connect it
- then you'll start messenger and connect
- it will try to start a data connection
- press red button quickly to stop it
- then messenger will use the Wi-Fi active connection.
This is how i proceed.

Use MoDaCo's NoData when you dont want any grps data, turn it off when you do
thanks
Thanks guys yes all of your advice kind of worked. Even though the MSN messenger is a big pain in the butt, it is always trying to connect itself. And to free my ram if I try to stop it running, the program restarts itself.
you coud try also placing device in flight mode - this will allow connections via wifi

Wifi + GPRS Auto Disconnect

Hi,
I have been searching in the forums and on many other forums and cannot seem to find a definitive app that will allow me to auto-disconnect the GPRS connection (and also WiFi) on my X1. I have tried downloading BandSwitch as suggested but the website is very, very slow and timed out almost everytime.
Can someone please help / provide an alternative to auto disconnect these 2 connections?
Sorry do you want a device that can auto-disconnect the data connection when not in use or an app that you can toggle the data connection on and off without worrying about a re-connect?
If it's the latter I use one called NoData which is good for roaming.

I think if you set the Data Connection in Comm Manager to Off, it will connect to GPRS when necessary, and disconnect when it is no longer required.
Found it...
No worries, I was looking for an app to auto-disconnect (after idle). But its a reg hack.

GPRS issue

As I don't have an unlimited data plan, I've installed "netdroid" which is supposed to toggle data and/or wifi on and off. (I use it only for data).
Problem is that at 1st use, it works fine (gprs connection and disconnection), but then I can't connect anymore, and only a soft reset can take care of that.
I don't think it's a problem with the application because I've tried it with "quick settings" and it does the same.
Thank you for any hint.
GPRS issue (rom modaco r13)
I have similar problem. GPRS works ok when i start my phone. I use apndroid to switch between gprs/wifi settings. After wifi use, my gprs settings doesn't work any more. Icon appears in taskbar, but it can't receive data. When i restart my phone, gprs works fine until i use wifi again. Is there some way to restart network on phone without restarting whole phone, and what is happening with network during restart?
Thanks
Mladen.

[Q] Auto Enable/Disable Data Connection

Hello, few days ago I megrated from WM6 to Android in my HD2: everything is so better and it works very good, excpet the data connection settings!
In WM6 I installed a tweak (Montecristoff), and it turned my connection on/off just when I opened/closed internet or other apps.
Now I have the connection ALWAYS or NEVER...everytime I need to send mms, open market or internet, first I have to turn on the H/3G and then open the app I wanna use!
I'm searching an app that gaves me the connection automatically when I need, but when I stop to use, that app has to close the connection after few seconds!
I tried with JuiceDefender but it doesn't work like I want!
Please help me!
I try to explain it better:
I need an app for Android that allow my data connection just when I request, for example when I use Internet, Meteo, Market and so on...the rest of time data connection has to be down!
JuiceDefender does it, but not like I want...when the display is black, the data connection is off, but it's ok when I turn on the display...but I don't want this...I want that my data connection starts just lunching specific apps!
Thank you!
