hey, im havng a problem uploading videos to youtube. when i try to upload i get an error saying file size is to big. this is on videos which are only about 1 mins 30 seconds. anyone know why or if here is a restriction with uploading. i spoke to a guy where i got the phone and he reckons its a software fault. anyone had similar problems or are able to upload videos which are over the 1 - 2 minute mark ??

I got a problem with the youtube app and panel which i can download here. I installed the youtube app and the panel which came from this url.
The problem is, when i click on the youtube app it doesnt load, and when i use the youtube panel the screen turns white and nothing happens.
Have u guys got any ideas? Thnx in advance!

I don't have tried the panels, but i have tried a few different youtube apps for X1.
After installing these youtube cabs, even my WMV codecs which came shipped on my phone were currupted. The problem was, that the youtube cabs installed their own codecs and they have overwritten my original ones.
I don't know, if there existing a youtube app which is compatible to X1, but i recommend you don't use any youtube apps, until anyone gives you a link with functional app
I had to Hardreset my X1 to get the original codec of wmv on its place
i hope there is anyone who can post a functional youtube app link

You should've followed the link and actually read a bit in the youtube app thread instead of creating a new topic :>. Or use the search function of this forum. It works well, I know .
Sounds like you do not have an english winMobile 6 Rom?
You have to change the *.[numbercode].mui in the windows directory to your countries code to get the application working.

As i had installed the app, there was no info like that, i think it was too early when i tried

Heh, i have the very same thing. I guess when the title says 'working youtube' i wont bother reading >5 pages just to confirm it really works.

Problem however, i cant see any movies through the app. After a few seconds i get the error: " Error: Cannot play this video ". But the video's work fine when i go to http://m.youtube.com.

Heh, i thought i had it working too, however, same thing as you have. I can scroll, search and pictures show up and all. However, when i want to play a movie. It say's "Error: Cannot play this video".
God, this is driving me nuts.
Youtube with Opera Mobile only works on 50% of the vids', its very choppy too.
Youtube with KinomaPlay works, but its choppy when in landscape and you'll have to pay for the full version to have more then 10 search results.
Youtube with Coreplayer works, but its buggy and crashes ALOT.
Youtube with youtubeplay works, but its only low/med-quality and the interface is very simple and dull.
Man, it will never change

Hey guys great news, I finally got Fring up and running with video chat on my Archos 101!!! To get it working, it appears that you have to download the apk version 2.1.0.6, dated 27/5/2010! This is an older version of Fring, as the new ones wont boot up. I happen to find the APK doing a google search. At first boot, it took a while to load up, so I backed out and tried again...it loaded, but when I clicked video, it force closed. So i closed it out, tried again and bang, worked like a charm!!! There is a two to three second lag between your live movements and what you see on the screen, but it works now without crashing!!! I am very happy with my Archos now that I have video chat. Please try it and let me know if it works for you guys!! =D> =D>

XDA wont allow me to post links, because I'm a new member..but I can tell you to google search the apk and enter megaupload on your search. Or check my similar posting in Archos fan forums, my username there is RAHIEM69D. Fring works now 100% for me, with just a little lag.
Is the sound quality good? Last I tested fring with sip it was horrible, maybe it's just the sip suppot that's bad.
The video chat lags for about 3 seconds, not bad really. The sound was actually pretty good, but i guess it depends on your wifi signal strength. Really impressed overall considering how much i paid for the archos. Anyone please let me know if the apk works for you guys?
hello everyone, ive searched on multiple forums, my problem is this, when i try to upload a picture via the phone it uploads it and when it is finished it says could not upload, and doesn´t post anything. I´ve tried to clear data, reinstall the app with no success, i thought maybe the rom i was using had some sort of bug, tried stock, drzrom and now onecosmic´s ics in none of them pictures will upload

Its like this on my Note too.. Never thought of it as a problem.. But it may be a problem.. I almost never record videos.. I will ask Samsung Sweden tomorrow about this..
I can not put links, but search youtube galaxy macro or autofocus note and you'll see much difference, mine records blur
Hi guys, total newbie, bought chinese version from Ali express, using it in Europe. Came with Play store and english language as requested. The only real issue I'm unable to find a solution for is the above, so i'm hoping someone will help me here..
Basically if I try to send a video clip through facebook messenger, the app crashes and kicks me out, every single time. Same with instagram, trying to put up a video on a timeline or instagram stories video, get a message Instagram has stopped working, and that happens every time as well. Please help. Thank you.
P.S.: have no experience with any of the rooting etc, simply this place is the last resort as nowhere else provided any help
