[REF] Working / Non-Working add-ons / games / programs - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Themes and Apps

Ok,
So a few of us have had a Touch Pro 2 now for a couple of days and have been asked by many people "Does this work, Does that work" and its going to be so much easier if we collate these into one place as a reference, so when the people who asked get their phone, they can quickly download it.
Make a list below (with screenshots if possible) of modifications that work / don't work and a link to that thread, even if its cross linking to the Blackstone forum which most of these will as they are very very alike.
Example.
Title: Notification Manager with Buttons
Working? Nope
Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505904
Brief Description: This supplies buttons next to the actual notification in the notifications manager, so it will take you to.. say battery, comm manager etc.
Think this doesn't work due to its Topaz rather than Rhodium.
Hopefully we should get a list of things that work/dont work and collate a massive inventory

Title: High Resolution Wallpapers for all tabs
Working? Nearly, 95%
Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=503511
Description: Creates a wallpaper via the PC for your phone, portrait or landscape in better quality than just selecting it in TF3D. This works all but the home wallpaper, which defaults to the standard one. You can however, select the wallpaper in the TF3D settings, but it wont be as good a quality as the rest of the tabs.
Remeber to untick CFC Compression in settings or you will get a white screen

Title: IGO8 (HD Version)
Working? Yes
Link: http://www.igomyway.eu/
Description: GPS Navigation Software for Windows Mobile™ based PDA devices and Smartphones

Title: Microsoft Voice Command V1.6
Working? No
Link: http://www.handango.co.uk/
Description: Bluetooth control for voice activated dialing - installs and will work with a hardware button (press and hold "Send") but will not work through bluetooth.

Sony Ericsson Bluetooth Watch MBW-100/MBW-150 on Windows Mobile! btWatch v0.1.8

btWatch is an application developed for Windows Mobile 5 and 6 based Smart Phones and Pocket PCs. It allows for communication with bluetooth enabled watches, such as those from Sony Ericsson (MBW-100 & MBW-150) and Abacus. Due to the fact that these watches were manufactured to work with specific phones only, they have previously been just out of reach for those of us partial to WM5/6 based technology.
While these watches were designed to support basic CallerID presentation and messaging alerts (some also control audio playback) I have taken it a step further by adding new features and improving upon the basic features.
Here's the latest version of btWatch. Currently at version 0.1.6
If you are having trouble getting your watch to work with btWatch, consider using smartWatchM which is being developed by MoneyToo.
This version currently supports the following:
Code:
1. Pairing of a new Watch directly through the app.
2. Establishing communication with an already paired Watch.
3. Creates a registry key (HKLM\SOFTWARE\btWatch) for device setup and options.
4. Options Menu to enable/disable features.
5. Current Options: CID, SMS, EMAIL, VIBRATION and Number of rings to Vibrate on.
6. Fully functional incoming call notification (2-line name/number + vib for n rings)
7. Notification of incoming Text Messages (displays name/num and full message).
8. Notification when new Email arrives (displays name/email and subject).
9. Digital Date and Time are synchronized with the phone.
10.Debugging mode to allow you to see behind the scenes for testing purposes
("Monitor Connection").
11.Added EKG annimation when connection is established.
12.Watch will now auto connect after going out of range and coming back within range.
13.Added 2-line text support.
14.Added basic support for MBW-150
15.Reject a call by pressing upper right button twice (much more responsive)
16.Display phone status info by pressing crown(play)
16.1. Number of unread email messages
16.2. Number of unread SMS messages
16.3. Number of missed calls
16.4. Voicemail Notification Icon
16.5. Current phone battery charge Icon
16.6. Headset Pairing Icon
16.6. Live "bars of service" from phone
17.Lists all appointments for the day by holding crown(FF)
18.Control WMP (press upper right button to activate/deactivate control) via crown
18.1. Pause, Play, Next Track
18.2. Displays current Artist/Track name on watch
19.Fonts are loaded dynamically from bmp files allowing users to modify fonts
20.Display task list with priority and due date by pressing upper right button when
viewing appointments menu.
21.New Menu System - Press and hold Crown(FF) to access, then press upper right to cycle.
Note about fonts: You can edit the bmp files with windows paint. Do not alter the height of the files (8 pixels), but you can alter the width and content. Must be saved as monochrome (1bit) bmp file. Do not change the individual file names in any way.
Installation: To simplify installation I have also compiled 2 separate cab installers. One for Smart Phones without the touch screen and one for PocketPC style phones. Should work on WM5 and above.
Disclaimer: While I make every effort to thouroughly test btWatch before each developmental release, I cannot guarantee compatibility with your phone/watch. As this is beta software, you use it at your own risk.
Price: btWatch is currently free for you to use as you please, but if you feel that the application is worth pursuing you may make donations to help further its development.
Anyway, I hope you all like the new version!

Try something for me so that I can get a better idea where the problem is. If there is a com port associated with your watch in start-settings-bluetooth-comports delete it, then delete the watch from the list of paired devices. Ensure that you do not have moneytoo's app set to startup with WM (or temporarily remove it) and soft reset. Then please pair the watch directly through btWatch and let me know what happens. I will take a look at the code in the mean time.

At first i had the same problem, i couldn't get the watch connected to my Tytn II (Kaiser), after deleting COM6 and removing Moneytoo's program and reinstalling BTWatch it works great. I will test it in the field over the coming days.
Donation will follow....thanks for creating a second program for us PPC users.
Little Question ..... btWatch have a Appointment notify Feature ?
btWatch hangs
Tried it out and i like the overall functions of the program. It potentially can become a true opponent for smartwatchm. But what makes me change back to this program is that btWatch keep stalling as soon as the ppc is turned off for a while. When i turn it on (wake it up) and try to open btWarch is only see the turning circle, forever (it seems that way), apparantly this is the case when i've been out of reach from the ppc and come back to it. When that happens i cannot reconnect and i have to soft-rest the ppc to start thing up again....so good effort but alas....i'm switching back to smartwatchm and waiting for a stable version...keep up the good work...
Edit: while btWatch still hangs (turning circle) it seems to reconnect....+1 for btWatch...
If your program displayed incoming emails (like Sender Name and Subject) it would make it perfect!!
I'll have an eye on your program too. I like the little icon stuff going on there, headset, battery meter and signal level, oh boy I'm such a kid
But since I have a MBW-150 your app isnt fully up to moneytoos programs possibilities yet. But I'll definitely keep an eye on your work, I like how far we can take those watches already anyway, if I remember how proud I was using it with my SE P1 back in the days to skip tracks in the music player... Ridiculous
I wonder though what SonyEricsson can come up with. The MBW-150 is listed as a compatible accessory for SonyEricssons upcoming XPERIA X1 which runs WM6.1...
would btwatch work with the LG Style-i as well?
the program seems to find the style-i but hangs when trying to connect to it
Version 0.1.7 Released!
Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted in a while. Life got busy this week.
Anyway, here's the latest version of btWatch!
Version 0.1.6 seemed to be a bit buggy for most, so I re-worked a lot of the code. It should connect and reconnect more reliably now. I added email sender and subject to the email notification as requested. I added a minor update to the Appointments menu: now shows 1st all day event as well. Unfortunately, this version still does not show appointments that are setup using a recurring pattern (eg. every monday), but I will add these in an upcoming version as well as appointment notifications. BTW if you connect the watch and click "Test Menu" in the test menu you will get a glimpse of the new menu system for v0.1.8!
Link is on 1st post.

Currently this device is not supported, as it uses far more commands than the bluetooth watches. But, btWatch could be ported to a new application to support the Style-i in the future. I will look into supporting the Style-i, but do not expect an app until btWatch is at a very stable version.
Tested the latest version with my HTC S621 and my MBW-150. After I sent myself an email to see how it works, the program crashed... I repeated the test, it crashed again.
p.s. I dont know if you have a landscape device or not, but on my Excalibur the text area gets cutoff at the bottom. It really gives it an unrefined look... :/

Sorry to hear it crashed. Currently the app looks for an account named ActiveSync to pull email from. I will update it in a few minutes and post a version that defaults to the 1st account if this one is not found. The next version will include a place to select the account you want to check in the options menu. I will also look into having the app auto detect screen orientation, etc.
EDIT: If you downloaded v0.1.7 earlier and had trouble with appointments or email, try downloading it again. I altered the code to handle the error from the appointments menu properly and the email alerts now default to the 1st email account in the device. Please let me know if it is working better. Again, I will update the options menu of the next version to allow for account selection.
I spent the last few hours working on another update. I added a menu system accessible by holding the crown(FF). Once you enter the menu, you simply tap the upper right button to cycle through the different options. Once the menu you want is selected just wait and it will load after 3 seconds. I also added a new item in the setup menu to allow you to choose what email account to monitor (instead of just ActiveSync/Exchange).
For now I am not posting the newer version. I want to test it out tomorrow and make a few changes, but it should be posted in the next day or so.
Are these watches any good? I was thinking of buying one, but they are expensive to buy without seeing them in the flesh first.
Also other than styling are there any major differences between the mbw-100 and the mbw-150?
I'll wait for you to release the newer version, before I go though the ordeal of uninstalling smartwatch, deleting com ports, reboot, install your app... etc
Also last night the app would hang while it was drawing the EKG animation at startup. It would draw 2/3 of it and then stop. It did it a few times until I got pissed and uninstalled it. Hehe
Hey I got a question for you, pcfixitman... Do you know if it's possible to modify an app like yours to communicate with a device over the "handsfree profile" in the same manner ? Sending and receiving GSM AT commands ?
This is really cool, works like a charm on my Elfin
Thanks a bunch for this great software
Hi, this program can run whith car kit Sonyericsson whith screen for use contact ?
which watches support this protocol? How to search for them? How much does they costs?
It's not a protocol, it's an application. The model numbers are MBW-100 and MBW-150. Do your own research.... google.

Manilla or TF3DHDB2

There are two parallel projects to port HTC's Touchflo 3d to X1:
itje's Manilla:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=442154
and
Daran Clarkes TF3DHDB2
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=428351
For people who have tried both please vote which has your preference at the current states of build.
Seeing as I'm 100% sure that people who vote have just tried -one- of the ports and comment on that one.
The poll isn't called "which one did you install" it's meant to be a review of both. As these builds get better and better we need a source for newbs as to how the ports differ.
So if you can post some differences that you found between the two ports.
PS: I have both an X1 and a Touch HD for comparison.
1. Manilla
Plus
-Works fast, quick to install.
Minus
-Needs around 10 individual .cabs to work.
-Album doesn't work out of the box
-Audio doesn't work out of the box
-The system highlights have been changed into black / black. Whereas on teh original HD Touch HD the highlight (new sms indicator), clock highlights, comms highlights are neon green.
-The clockface is black instead of the original white.
-Camera and video icons don't work on the album screen.
-Some lockups now and again.
2. TF3DHDB2
Plus
-One main .cab
-4 add-ons
-All aspects of touchflo 3d work out of the box.
I.e. Camera and video icons work on album screen, system highlights are the correct colour, as is the clock.
-Really in comparing to my HD system speed is almost identical, i.e. I can't tell any difference. Launching youtube is slightly faster on the X1, browsers opening from the internet tab is slightly faster on the HD. Weather updates are 1:1, etc. This is all out of the box hard reset, i.e. no file or glyph tweaks yet.
Minus
-Relatively long time to install
The main difference between a real Touch HD and the above two builds is remains obviously the speed of loading the OS into a useable state after a cold start. The HD is pretty much quickly useable whereas on the X1 we have to wait for the TouchFlo3D to load.
For reference, my setup is (after hard reset):
-Touchflo3D HD Beta 2
-HTC Phone.cab
-HTC Volume.cab
-Touch IT Keyboard.cab
-FM Radio HD app
-Snailslug TouchResponse (to get the small vibration jolts when you touch the screen like on the real HD)
-All annoying windows mobile SMS balloons disabled (see thread), sms now works identical to HD.
I disabled all the panels apart from the one you can't turn off as I don't really use them. Why have a youtube or google panel if selecting these from the internet tab works 6x faster.
Lets hear people who have actually used both builds comment on their experiences.
I'm a noob, about to get an Xperia in a few days and would like to put the touchFLO interface on it. I am also confused as to which one of the two to go with.
I'm not so interested with how long or hard it is to install, I'm mainly interested in how complete and reliable it is, with speed/performance a second priority.
It appears from you're post that Manilla is the one to do for, Though I was under the impression from another post that I saw that the other version was better. I'm very confused and frustrated having to research pages of posts outlining individual bugs with each versions, trying to see which is more complete.
I would also rather TouchFLO as a panel, can this be done with both versions? or one in particular
I like the summary you have provided of both versions, I find very helpful. I am looking forward to anything other users have to say about both versions.

You mean probably TF3DHDB2 not Manilla.
Yes you can run as a panel, you need TF3DPanelInstaller.cab. First install the main TF3DB2.cab, then install panel. Basically TF3DB2.cab installs itself as your home panel. You need to follow the instructions for panelising it, I believe you need to uncheck the touchflo3d on the today panel items, before you install but I'm not sure, check with someone else. Also check if TF3DHDB2 can run as a panel or if it's just Manilla that works with the panelinstaller.cab, I'm unsure. Hell you could try it and tell us.
Don't get frustrated, I got my X1 just last week and figured all this stuff out on my own. Basically what helped me was running through the two threads above. TF3DB2.cab is the one to go for. It's almost as fast as my Touch HD, apart from album and audio, that remains faster on my HD. Although I do hear Daran is coming out with TF3DB3 next week? That should finish this whole port off.
But if you just want to start, hard reset your X1 and load the files I run (listed above), there you go, weeks of looking through threads resolved.
PS: All the apps I listed there is only one version from, usually listed on the front page (post 1) of both threads linked above.
Hi all,
you can panelize TF3DHDB2 works fine for me
i chose manilla simply because TF3DB2 kept freezing on me, i had to remove the battery to restart 2-3 times a day
i installed manilla 2 days ago and no freezes whatsoever.
i dont mind not having pics and music cause i use the media panel for those which is MUCH better.
id just like to see someone incorporate tf3d tabs that rotate or disable the roate option cause anything is better than hose ugly lines that appear when the screen is rotated
itje, daran's project seems not well supported. itje released a great rom with tf3d working out of the box and fix issues very quickly
I've tried both, and thought the HD one was faster.
My vote goes to TF3DHDB2 simply because A2DP works in it and this is essential for me.

Ideas for better Handling Manila and Windows-Mobile

Everything should be more in One and in one style and less than a puzzle-Operating-System. More handle, more flowing, more user-friendly.
0. There should be some possibility to Plug-In New Panels for Manila and to switch Panels Off. For example, I don`t need some weather-panel, cause i see this when I go in front of our house, some additional functions would make more sense:
1. Integrated RSS-reader/ news-plugin (like the Email-Overflow-View in Manila.)
2. Media-Player-Plugin for all kind of media (photos and Videos also like MP3, this should support Flv-Youtube-Videos and Livestream-Media too. The player should be aviable by browsing with the windows-browser, instead of mediaplayer and much more aplications.
3. Windows-Mobile-Browser: the scrolling-bar should be invisible! When you go right-edge of the screen with the finger over it, the scroll-bar should appear, it should have always the same size, finger-friendly fat and the background should be half unvisible (so that you see the bar visible in front of the window and the rest, in which the bar is moved, is blended over the window like glass.)
- there should be the possibility for saving Playlists by handling like in the core media player - direct, easy.
4. PDF-Reader: should be integrated in the opera-mobile-browser, scrolling and zooming should be possible also like in opera. The Opera-Browser should be aviable also offline for watching pdf-files. Some E-Book-Manager would make sense for Manila. It should be possible to set bookmarks for every PDF-E-Book with notes for them, which you can share later too and save common with the ebooks, it's uncomfortable to read ebooks with the Acrobat-Mobile Reader. That should be easy and flowing like the iPhone-View.
5. In Opera-Browser should be the function for saving a whole Websession (all opened Tabs in one boomark). You should can open more windows than 3 in one.
- there should be some integrated function, for printing webpages later wireless via bluetooth.
- There should be some possibility to syncronize opera boomarks with active-sync too.
6. It should be possible for the programm-panel to list every programm automated in the shortcut-view.
7. Also at contacts-shortcut, it should be possible to select, that every person has to be listed with a picture, not only some.
8. It should be possible at the phone, to select, that every answered call should be on loudspeakers opened. It should be possible, to select, that the scrolldown for viewing options while calling should be also on one view, without scrolling down, as a standart, so that scrolling isn't needed.
- Add a phonecall/ Number as an apointment should also be possible at Outlook.
9. The Option for Audio-Booster should be aviable also without using a headset.
10. There should be the option, to link the Youtube-Player shortcut at Manila with other Programms, there are Programms too, with which you can record and download clips.
11. Perhaps a shortcut for a painting-panel could be integrated too, so if you scroll to this, you can draw directly notes, like at a sheet of paper.
12. Listening to Music/ Watching whole SD-Card-Movies (insted of DVD) wireless over Bluetooth by streaming Audio and Video to your TV or the Home-Sound-System should be possible, also with Dolby 5.1 Quality and with HD-Movie-Quality (100HZ). That would be really cool to use the Pocket PC as Media-Player and for easy-connect to presentation-Systems like a video-beamer. For this there should be some better processors, better bluetooth, bluetooth-universal-media-stream-formate and recieving components for video and audio, who you can connect to your Home-System too.
13. For Fun, there should be some dejaying-programm for pda, for playing loops and sound-samples on the pda with different effects and on multiple bands at one time. And with synthesizers and a scratching-panel.
good ideas but most of them impossible unless you start programing yourself...
some solutions:
0. there is "manila 2d customizer" M2DC
3. if you meant the file explorer you can use resco's explorer its more functional & customizable
7. in contacts everyone shown with picture maybe you don't have pics for all ur contacts
8. with some programs its possible to set answered calls on speaker so probably there is some registry key for this & i didn't understood what you meant in "scrolldown for viewing options while calling" but everything while calling depends on dialer you have so you can install another dialer
9. for better audio install SRS WOW HD
13. dj programs exist i remember seeing something like this and there are also programs like cubase to make songs i dont remember names but if u search youll find
and the best solution to every problem is search...

OmniaII i8000 Missing Features

Hi all,
I received yesterday my new i8000.
There are 2 features that are seriously missing and I was wondering if anyone knows if they can be restored by a tweak or even an application:
1. the mouse: I hate using the pointing device they give out with the phone, but in some cases, fingers are too big. The mouse they had on the i900 was perfect.
2. Screen rotation/landscape mode: This option also disappeared, comparing to the first Omnia.
I would be happy to hear people's comments.
Thanks.
eh? Screen rotations gone? Are you saying that if you turn the device sideways it won't re-orientate all the screen. This would be a real pain in the a*&e for things like Opera!
Hi dstu69, screen rotation is there but not for all apps. Mine works with Opera. May be try calibrating your device in Settings.

Thank frak for that!
too many problems
Actually, some automatic rotation is indeed available in some applications, but, for example, I have a GPS application that loads based on the current orientation and it looks bad in portrait mode and there's nothing I can do to fix it.
Also, I'm discovering more problems:
1. When I download emails (IMAP, but I didn't test it in POP3), if i click on them to view them, they are not shown.
2. The excellent mouse we have in the original Omnia disappeared.
3. The flashlight (volume-down long-press) also seems to have disappeared.
This phone is somewhat disappointing. One would think that they'll keep the good stuff and improve the phone. Instead, they took away the things that made the first version so great
Omnia II Missing Features
I just sold my Omnia i900 assuming that the I8000 would build upon its predecessor's strengths? What a shame for Samsung! Here are my findings so far:
Aside of all the issues already mentioned I learned the following:
- Screen reorientation works on some apps but also on e-mail/messaging, provided you select the Samsung keyboard Irgh!!!! Silly as it may sound, that is the case!
- Mouse is history as the CUBE does not have the sensor built in!
- Signatures do NOT work except when creating new mail! Yes, the flag for inserting signatures for replies and forwards was selected!
- There is no way to advance from one e-mail to the next other than going UP to the in box and selecting the next one manually! That IS stupid SAMSUNG. like the previous Omnia, one should be able to flip through e-mail with a gesture as if we were flipping a sheet of paper!
- Fianally a managed to synchronize the sent items folder in outlook! However, you have to unselect the TouchWiz interface, go to the email application and select the options menu. Otherwise it is inaccessible!
- I hope WM6.5 rendition of Samsung takes care of that? Does Anybody know when WM6.5 will be made available?
Cheers

I agree that there are some issues with the Omnia II i8000 but many of the ones you listed work fine...
1. Screen Orientation-Yes it's automatic for Opera and SMS/MMS typing but no others. However, there is a fix where you can assign a button to rotate ANY screen at ANY time. Check it out on here...http://www.modaco.com/category/410/i8000-omnia-ii-http-i8000-modaco-com/
2. I agree about the Mouse and the CUBE not using the sensor.
3. I had NO PROBLEMS with signatures straight out the box.
4. If you start reading your emails from the top of the list, after you DELETE one, it does move to the next one. I agree you have to go back UP in order to read the next one if you don't DELETE the one you were reading.
5. I had NO PROBLEMS syncing SENT mail from Outlook straight out the box.
6. There are several WM6.5 ROMS over on MoDaCo. I've tried a few and each have their own PROS and CONS. Last I heard was Samsung won't have a release until early 2010. By that time, I would have moved on to the HD2 U.S. edition (assuming it's available).
Got my i8000 with original Wimo 6.5 (21856.5.0.65) a few days and i´m happy with it (previous device was nike with manila 2d).
1. there is a tool called OrientationDetection from mcbee to define the apps to autorotate.
2. don´t nedd a mouse or a stylus. fingerfriendly touchwiz let you make all settings with your finger.
4. Perhaps it´s 6.5, but i can flip through sms/email with sliding the finger from right to left.
I would totally agree with positive comments of I8000.
This is my first non-HTC phone in last 5 years (S200-Trinity-TP-T.Cruise) and I must say WOOWWW!!!
Build quality unseen by HTC, hardware (just put SKTools benchmark you'll see some 50% better performance over HD), lightweight.
I must say - I don't like Samsung software - but prefer naked WinMo. But when was re-cooking the problem? At least for this forum members?
So in one word, Samsung made terrific WinMo phone.
Must say that every HTC I owned forced me to certain compromise:
1. Qtek S200 (speaker would die)
2. Trinity (excellent, but paint peels quickly - come on!)
3. TPro (sold it in 3 days, keyboard wobbled, and was not substantially faster than Trinity - which could be overclocked if needed as well as S200)
4. Touch Cruise (thought I could be easy for a while - but speaker is nightmare, lousiest screen of all HTCs I owned (kinda yellowish) - later I found out that HTC changes vendors for certain parts so check your build date before buying). Not to mention Qualcomm drivers issue. Trinity was faster even when playing Scumm games!
I simply cannot understand this phone to have lower price in the shops compared to HD. Faster CPU (with scalable speed), AMOLED, 720x480 video at 30fps, 16GB integrated storage, lighter 20% and roughly 50% faster in all benchmarks. SKTools build I used put it as a fastest PPC device (didn't have HD2), and not just in processor - check out Direct Draw test - second fastest after Dell Axim x51.
Dunno for sure - but that might mean that beside CPU raw-power someone also put some effort in writting proper drivers.(ahemmm!)
I can only say - we my friends have been heavily ripped off during past years for owning WinMo devices. Thank heaven for competitors!
i have my one of my buttons maps to rotate the screen (above camera buttom) and it works quite well most samsung apps that have rotate work without the button but if i want to force it i can using a button so i get the best of both worlds
from modaco
To be able to manually rotate the screen in any application: go to registry hk_local machine – system – gdi – rotation; in key HideOrientationUi change 1 to 0. Then open Settings – Personal – Buttons and assign to any button the command “Rotate Screen” (you can see this option after you change the registry and only in winmo setting page) (working well for me, I prefer to be able to choose when I want to view something in landscape mode than relaying on how I rotate my phone…)

Hi all,
2. Screen rotation/landscape mode: This option also disappeared, comparing to the first Omnia.
I would be happy to hear people's comments.
Thanks.

Auto rotation can be achieved by using Orientation Detection. You can selectively choose which programs to autorotate.

There is also a onboard-autorotation. It can be configured in registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\AutoRotation
It is recomended to select allways the next upcoming number in the string
The whole number of strings must be set in the dword "Count"

Custom ROM Feature requests

A bit of 'customer feedback' etc:
I was going to ask a question, because I have a specific request, but then thought rather than limit the thread why not make it a general feature request for custom ROMs, for people to come up with new ideas etc for our esteemed cooks to implement.
Anyway, this is my request:
Can we have a 'delete' icon on the SMS and Email tabs in Sense, so we can delete junk emails as they arrive without having to open them first?
Thanks
Paul.
some requests from the Chefs
1 - transparency all over, everywhere.
2 - no curtains anywhere
3 - small sized colour icon pack for taskbar, notifications, startbutton
4 - built in Slide-2-Unlock (ask the devs)
5 - all stock photo's , stock stocks, stock footprints delete
6 - clock packs in cabs with installation. Clock with seconds
7 - actionscreen on endcall button and left softkey
8 - preinstall my own application Reperion (find your phone back after theft)
9 - Organized startmenu !!!! All these freaking icons need to much scrolling!
10- built in ACR HD2 (automatic call recording)
11 built in musicID latest version
etc etc.. let the cooking begin
stable, stable , very stable ~
Hope this gonna be true
Sense 2.1!
I wish I could have the folowing.
- Without Copilot8 trial
- WM messaging (not HTC messaging) by default
Well. that's all..
Something that I'd definitely want is a simple and useful task manager that would make switching between say the music player and browser much less of a chore(I have the taskmanager on my startscreen as a quick launch icon). Just mapping the current task manager to one of the hard buttons would suffice.
* Super-fast.
* Loads of free ROM space - dump all unneeded crap like wallpapers and ringtones as separate cabs
* WM 6.5.x (a must!)
* Stock Manila with options to customise
* Dump Jblend for Jbed. Jbed is sooo much faster
* Microsoft Bluetooth Stack... if possible (probably not).
1- delete button on the email tab
2- graphical task switcher (similar to Windows 7) with touch scrolling through tasks
3- larger buttons (see NRJ Blackstone ROMs)
4- enable windows Mobile contacts in HTC "People" so you don't have to use the Windows Contacts application to create Windows Live contacts.
5- Ported Google Maps Navigation application from Android
6- enable importing of facebook phone numbers when linking contact to facebook, currently only birthday and picture are being imported.
Don't know if this is possible but
1. Option to save all e-mail (not just attachments) from all accounts to microSD
2. Import facebook birthday from contacts to calendar
3. Eliminate bugs with alarm app, sometimes I have to press 2-3 times to get into app
- Without Copilot8 trial
- WM messaging (not HTC messaging) by default
The Main to reqeusts, get rid of the buggy HTC messaging and CoPilot trial to save space!
- as close to stock as possible.
- option to have chinese traditional support (dislay/keyboard)
Dont take this the wrong way but..
Many chefs here choose to make their ROMs to fit the "market", to please as many as possible. So changes as, transparency there, transparency here, app this, app that. Its just to specific to each induvidual that want a cooked ROM.
Dont get me wrong, its good that you guys tell the/us chefs what you want. But this could just be done in the chefs ROM threads instead.
Just read the posts. Many of you takes up the same things. If you want a ROM that fist all youre needs, cook it youre self (Or talk to a nice chef to do if for you?).
Just my 2 cents..

I couldn't agree more. I don't "cook" myself, but I'm an avid taster
I would personally LOVE to see a ROM with nothing but the basics on there, along with a list of CABs, in order to install anything not included. That way, we can have a real lite version of the OS & GUI, and customize the software ourselves. I'm just after more space, and less of what I don't actually want!

Excactly.. There are UC comp ROMs and SHASHIMI to tweak the phone after HR, so just cooking some stuff in it is worse imo. I just dont se the point.

The only advantage I see is fast setup after hard reset if all the settings and tweaks are included in a ROM.
But many requests we have here are things for which there are no cabs, so maybe it is interesting not only to the cooks but also to the app developers (BS Tweak, Max Manilla, Touch X Icons etc...).

Agreed.
Would love to see an Ultra Lite ROM with everything that can be removed gone. In addition to this... cab files to put the removed stuff back if you wanted to.
What really annoys me with ROMs is when apps like google maps and Opera are cooked in.... These apps are always being updated so removing them from ROMs just makes sense!
Request
- Better touch screen accuracy.
- Better touch keyboard accuracy (like in iPhone)
- Close/Minimize buttons like in Windows 95/98/NT/XP/Vista/7
- Some kind of Windows 7 pined buttons at the bottom of screen, so you can always Maximize soft.
without copilot trial
auto power on/off on base of proximity sensor (or combination)
auto in call speaker on/off on base of proximity sensor (or other)
a lot more storage space, unbelievable now... 512mb rom standard, after initial setup there is only 178.11MB free to use???? So so soooooo wrong.... lol
working taskmanager @ top right corner, one which doesn't slow the device down!!!! showcase is no option, unresponsive and too big. One tap should be enough to display the running tasks..... (with the option to close them or switch to them)
fix the htc weather graphics of frost/snow (see attached pic for clarification ) --> only noticeable when you use hdwall for full screen wallpapers.
find a way to limit the number of sms to display when using threaded sms. It takes ages for the damn program to load the conversation. If for example it only loads like 20-30 sms, then there will be no problem i think. May b a button to show history (all?) --> may b better a suggestion to HTC, apparently they haven't tested with a large number of text messages. If they did...... SHAME ON YOU!
