Universal charges too slow? - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

Hello people, a few days ago i was given an Universal, i started looking in the internet about it and i finally found this page, what happened is that the device was in the bootloader screen.
So i managed, with al the instructions and everything else you've got here, to install Beasty and Laurentius OS 2.07 on the PDA. and its actually working, sort of...
I have no idea on the background of the device, i got it for free as someone didnt want it because he couldnt fix it. now... i bought the carger 5V 1A and its charging, but if i just try to use it at the same time (wmp and wi-fi) it starts slooowly charging down. It's just charging way to slow, ove been charging it since 3pm, and its now almost 8pm and its 70%.
Could this be the battery? the charger aint working correctly? maybe the OS? or is it just that this device had nothing else to offer?
Thanks
The only thing i know is that it was not used for over a year. as the last user thought it was broken.

radio upgrade then my phone got toast

tsk i upgraded the radio version after i fixed my phone to work variably better from when i got it (upper right screen tap). i was so happy it was stable because i went through 4 sleepless nights fixing this thing and trying everything (hours of testing). i plug it in my usb and happily transferring files. i leave it plugged and the bugger is working. perfect. my apps. no problems. reading ebooks too.
i come back decide to see what the fuss about the radio is so i decided to upgrade to the file HERM_Radinly_1.43.00 ... after successfully loading, not for long about 5 more mins plugged poof! disconnect sound. lcd faded. phone fried no red light when plugged. have two batteries so it's not the batteries. not the connections either. nothing. dead. tsk... and i was so excited.
so warning. and if anyone knows why. why? thinking i fried something inside gonna change capacitor to see. tsk tsk htc hermes take my karma away and leave my coming new tytn II alone!
oh and btw im using herm 200.
x01ht softbank unlocked. lousy.
Oh and anybody know what serials have rlod on...tytn II? too tired to read ive read so many posts. so sorry guys and girls i have to ask. i know it's out there but just need sleep now. 5 am
oh and to add. i put my phone into hell and disassemblies countless of times and it still works. damn radio was its death.
SORRY THERE APPARENTLY IS AN UNBRICKING THREAD SOMEWHERE. but link wont work. anyone? http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_Unbrick

Is it possible to accidently flash a Kaiser ROM to Wizard

I recently got a Wizard from someone I know. I unlocked it and flashed some ROM. I didn't like the ROM so I went to T-mobile NL website and got their official update to WM 6.0.
I also had the Kaiser update to WM6.1 on my desktop. Is it possible that I accidently flashed the Kaiser ROM to the Wizard or would I get an error before the proces of flashing started??
After some long night playing with my toys I found the Wizard dead next morning... it doesn't do anything anymore...no bootloader no led's no battery charging....nothing.
Maybe I should consider not drinking beer while playing
Anyway is there a solution or is this my first bricked HTC device?
Well, if you did indeed flash a Kaiser ROM to a Wizard, than I am fairly certain that it is bricked my man! Stop drinkin and flashin!
Try swapping the battery with another HTC device, if possible.
Try charging the dead one with a wall charger, if not.
If it won't charge, and won't boot, then you have yourself an expensive paperweight.
Hahahaha
My Men!!! The no ID RUU is hacked to dont recognize the device model? the Country? or some ID like IMEI? its dangerous isnt it? that's why i rename all the files for ROMS like wizard_bla_bla_bla.rar or something jeje cause my brother has a HTC universal.
So about your batt... get a wall chrger that gets more than 1 ampper maybe 2 and more output input doesn't matter its a default value for home electrical supply, and conect it.... if its not so try with a technician that make electroshocks to the poles with a little generator... it works for revival batt full drained by mistakes. or get an only batt all charger it exist believe me.
and if it works buy a new one cause the one you've got and revives dont last forever again.
Thanx folks, I am gonna try and find a replacement battery now. Luckely the wizard is just for playing...
My Magician charger....
I have these chargers lined up and haven't been using the Magician one for a long time.
At some time today I was looking and thought: What the Heck! give it a try...read the miniscule sticker: 1 Amp !?!
She Lives!! ...and all the settings are still there !?
am gonna try to flash the Kaiser rom to see wether that is possible gnagna
Will stop in time.

Omnia batterie status unreliable

Dear all,
first of all I would like to excuse my bad english... I´m from germany and I´m new here
I now try to describe my problem (it´s also a problem of some other german guys from our forum)
Maybe some of you have also a Samsung i900 Omnia cellphone. The problem is the batterie status indication: it´s absolutely unreliable!
For example: After loading the phone about 10hrs, I disconect it from the batteriecharger. Then (sometimes) it holds for 2 days the 100%. After that the indication goes rapidly down to 60%. Then a few hours later the indication only shows 10%. It´s absolutely unlinear!
Ok now, my Omnia is "online" for almost 4 days without charging! I think it´s enough, but is it possible to get the indication into a linear indication?
What I mean is that after charging the Omnia the "discharging" has to be indicated "linear". 100%, 90%, 80% and so on.
Maybe some of you cracks are able to program the ROM that this is possible?
Would be nice if some of you can give me a response about working on that!
Me and my friends in the german Forum "HANDY-FAQ.DE" would be really happy if somebody can take care about the "discharge-indication-problem"!
Best regards Tommes
Please tell me if this is the wrong forum, to put that question inside
Dear folks. Me and many other germans have the same problem. It would be really great to get your help.
@ Mod: Wrong Topic..
Anyways, the problem your encountering could be a number of things.. for example it could be true that your battery indicator isn't refreshing often enough or your battery could even be at fault here.
So there are a number of things you may try including:
1. Buying a new battery
2. Trying a different program to show your battery level such as Homescreen UI ++
3. Completely use your battery, remove it from the phone and clean the metal plates that connect the battery to the phone and then do a full charge and see how that goes.
4. Flashing the ROM on the phone
What is your ROM version.
Update your ROMS
Your batteries are fine - and seem to be lasting the same as the expected life of the omnia batteries. I am guessing you are on a "HH3" rom - I think that there was considerable amounts of comments about the reliability of the battery indicators on those roms. If you update to HI1,23 or HJ1 then the problem should be fixed.
You should be able to source a rom at modaco.com in the omnia forum.
Sorry for wroong topic
My Firmware is : PDA: i900XGHH4/AKHH5 TEL: i900BOHH2
I´m surprised now about my indication : Since sunday my Omnia is still ONLINE!!!
I now have only one beam but thats more than OK for me!!! It holds almost5 days now, with watching videos using wlan and the camera !!! Thats great
@Aegishua: I think it´s a refreshing problem, because in our forum are a lot of peoples have this problem! The Battery is ok I guess!
And the thing with the update: In germany there´s no official FW Update avail at the moment. We have to wait for that, otherwise the warranty for the Omnia will be lost.
I´ll observe further how it is working and then if the update is avail I´ll tell it to you guys!

2400mAh battery is not recognised, does not charge

Hi there!
I just got a new 2400mAh battery for my charmer (PM16A; 3.7VDC) and turned the device off to completely charge the new batt. For 3h there was no light indicating a charging progress so I turned the charmer on (no LED signal at all) and the OS booted. The system runs extremely slow and the battery status is not being recognised.
Has anybody made some experience with the bigger batteries or any idea why the system runs but no charging is being done? The battery is explicitly displayed to be fully compatible with the MDA Compact II...
Thanks in advance,
Gore
I called the dealer today and he told me that this battery is well known for causing troubles. I sent it back and told the dealer to keep me informed if any improvements are made by the manufacturer. He also told me that this (chinese) manufacturer seems to be the only one building those 2400mAh batteries, so if you're suggesting to buy one, think it over at the moment...
If I get any information about the issue I'll post it here.
So long,
Gore
What ROM is on your device? The batdriver.dll can cause such problems. What is shown? -1%? And what size is said? Does it say 0mA or 2400mA?
Give me infos I'll try to help you with my "how drivers are" skils.
Edit: Seen post now. Can you remember any answers on my questions. Cuase I think it would help others too.
I have cYBERDEls WM6.1 Manila 2d German Ed. installed. It runs perfectly with my old battery, fast and stable, but the battery turns off at 60% (4 years old - no surprise I guess). With the new one it seems to charge, although no orange light present. When entering the battery status in the OS, it said something like status unavailable or battery unavailable. And it runs extremely slow which it does not with the old one.
I'm sorry I cannot say anything about the current size, as the battery status driver of that WM6.1 version is unable to display...
I tried the Battfix.cab as well just to make sure but no change.
Thanks for helping,
Gore
OK that is a batdriver.dll problem. I'll upload some versions later or tomorow. Just try them.
And if you installed batfix.cab it will charge without the light, But the power you're using can also be the power with witch it came. (They are charged to 50%-80% to live long without being used)
-> "I'll upload some versions later or tomorrow"
That would be just great. Lucky me, I didn't actually send the package away yet, but will rip it open again
Which problem is solved by the batdriver.dll?
Btw, good luck with your 6.5 development, I'm really looking forward to it!
The batdriver will hopefully recognize the battery. (I'll give you Prophet and Wizard ones cause they suppoert only the big batteries I think). And WM6.5 will first just be English. Cause I have to translate everything manually to German.
Hope I can fix your problem.
Hey anything new about the batdriver.dll? Did you upload it somewhere or could you post a link to a proper driver in the Prophet or Wizard section if there is one? Sorry for shoving you...
Gore
Soory now time till now. I'll try to get some today or tomorow and post them here.

Battery problem...

My HTC Touch HD drains out of battery in about 30 minutes (yeah, that's right) and it doesn't charge to 100%, only 99%. I asked a phone store to do something like a "power shock" to my battery, but it seems that the battery is still stuck on 99%...
I have radio 1.17.25.09, Cloudy ROM WM 6.1 version and of coursre HSPL 1.56 OliNex.
This started happening when I got back to stock (don't ask why) and now it's just like this... Can it be a radio problem? I see some people saying that raios 1.14 have good battery but I don't know because 1.17 was working fine for over a month... Any help would be gladly apreciated,
mfsr98
maybe you need a new battery
Since you posted here, I can say that I bought one and it should be here today. Lets see how that goes...
Cloudy 6.1 has a long battery life. Radio doesn't matter.
Must indeed be hardware.
Yes, I know. I even tried flashing a different HSPL so...
screen problem
after an unexpected problem with my screen i had to reset rom in order to calibrate my screen.
After that my phone batery doesnt last and my screen didnt respont properly.
I have already intalled (just trying to resolve the screen problem) several roms but the problem got worst. now even thought orange rom is running properly my phone screen doesnt work at all. Any help?
First off, you shouldn't be posting this here. Anyways, it should be a digitizer problem. So, you will have to replace it
play with too much android and it may make your battery age faster, so that could be a cause.
Um you didnt post if you fixed it with the new battery, since my battery is old and needs a replacement, I want to know if it will work?
I didn't get my battery yet. And I want to tell you that this doesn't offend me, but for some people always using Italic on the letters offends them. Just type and send what you want
What is so offending in using Italic, its my way of typing?
why is it your way of tiping? isnt it just easier to type and go? It's offending because it looks like you are "complaining" with a person because of anything. I'm gonna say it again, it's not problem to me, but it's offending for others..
Well whoever has a problem, come at my face and tell me, since you're the first one that says anything like this to me!
Obviously no one will tell you that, but somebody could take what you say wrong in the future
Mfsr98, one sentence too much there. Shooting each other on the net may send wrong msg. For some ppl italics are how they speak (be it nice fonts or making what they say more easily recognised by the human eye). By saying a statment so directly like that other people may catch the wrong meaning... Just give and take... Replying to his query would suffice and nothing would happen...
Sent from my Kamen Rider Faiz Gear
Nobody is mad with anybody, I'm not mad with him and I think he is not mad with me either. I was just giving an advise because this is what I see from the situation.
I'm not gonna say more - it's only getting worse.
IN MY EYES mfsr98 WAS GIVING FRIENDLY ADVISE. I like good advice
lol HTC0017.
HI, did you get your new battery? Where did you order it?
Hi, just got the battery (but still need to go get it home). I bought it here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1350mAh-Li-...043169?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item56441e9821 It took about 15 days but it came :/
