I have a touch cruise rom 09 iolite with French rom 1.09.406.4 (40104) and radio 0.41.30.12...
I want to install Italy rom 1.09.408.3 and radio 0.41.30.12, but I could not find the hard spl for this model, according to you is possible or not ?
or is dangerous do this ?

You might be able to use the Gold Card method if the ROM doesn't have Region ID protection. I think there is a bit of info in this thread by cmonex. It's not the easiest process, so it maybe easier to wait for Hard SPL.

version rom 2.21.408.1
radio 1.50
But don't speak Italian !
(I know what you are going to ask...)
before I try my luck with vanilla's etc.. wer can I find a normal simple Rom
The HTC site where I registered give me only Italian version
Could someone that do not like Pizza help me ?

Unlock it to SPL 1.2, then try out any of the WM6 WWE stock ROM. Think carefully and beware of the consequence of unlocking to spl3.5, cause it is a way of no return, at least for now and may be a long long time to come.

I love Pizza but I know, Pizza is the end of a looong trail, and you are just in the middle of the beginning ,
If you want to change language or vendor ID, or just to flash ANY rom you like (even an ORIGINAL HTC Sauerkraut version ), do you need to change the SPL. In this way your device will became SUPERCID (or just the flashing process jumps over the CID info).
Your ATHENA has ITALIAN LANGUAGE hard coded into the SPL and you can't change it without affecting the SPL (Language id and Vendor id are the CID and SUPERCID means... joker)
Use ATHENA WRAPPER, from OLIPRO (donate if you like) from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=316846.
ATHENA UNLOCKER is just for SIM unlocking too
After this stage you will have a new SPL called HARDSPL (because it is hard coded, is IN the ROM), and the flashing process will be free for all ROMs. Your SPL will be 1.2
Original ATHENA ROM is a WM5 rom, the UPDATE is a WM6
From HERE http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=397518 you will find the newest ROM, the German listed is WM6.0 , the other are WM6.1 (no official WM6.1 for athena).
If you choose from that list the AP4 your device will have a newly partioned ROM, called SPL 3.5 and in the next future you can't use neither original HTC ROMs nor cooked 1.2 SPL ROMs. The only advantage in SPL 3.5 is the capability to use AP4 and AP5 (it needs more ROM space)

Waiting the Hard SPL for the HD2, I just thinking about a simple idea, is that possible to sign a rom like htc made, in order to find a way to flash our beloved device in different languages ?
For example if I take an FRA rom is that possible to change the region code to NLD (very easy with a hex editor) and resign the rom, to make think to the phone the rom is NLD and flash to have all the phone in french ?

I´m really not the guy to awser this, but i think it has something to do that its CID locked, and this cant just be changed with a regestry.
I did take the time to search and found nothing.
QUESTION: If I hard SPL my russian Herald will I be able to flash English roms and turn the language to english?
I have upgraded the russian software to 4.xxxxx
I keep getting vendor ID errors on anything US that I try to update. So i was hoping that this would be a work around for that.

What is your SPL? Is the SPL greater than 4.00? As long as it is, it should be fine.
Then you should be able to follow the same HardSPL instructions the Herald and Wings do, here: http://thewingster.com/Documents/How to HardSPL (Wing-Herald).pdf
I don't see why your region would make a difference...but I have no experience, it's just my guess.

I'm here in HK for a long period and I'd like to buy a HTC HD2 here that is cheaper than in Italy.
My only concern is that if I can flash it without problem in order to use a new cooked ROM in italian .
What does it mean WWE ? I read WWE in some ROM but I don't known what it means

Hi friend, WWE stands for world wide English....I also bought my HD2 from Hongkong, and the original ROM installed is also the WWE version, means everything is in English, not in Hongkong's native language...Flashing to another ROM is not a problem, just make sure you follow the procedure correctly (HSPL, etc..etc...)

In my searches i see that before install any cooked ROM you must use Hard SPL, and there is dedicaded ones for especific machine (maybe im wrong).
Is there a Hard SPL for Qtek9000?

No HardSPL is required for the HTC Universal
(it was built before HTC put in the copy-protection that made using a HardSPL necessary)
