Doubt About Pocket PC Games - Touch HD General

A doubt, I have been set since the purchase of my HTC HD, is whether one can integrate these mophgear the gamepad to play games on the Pocket PC on HTC HD, since they do not have many buttons (bad for games ) obviously can not play these games with these conditions but is gamepad, and there is already a program for this, or you can do with the mophgear or anything ... that is my question, since it would be the milk that could do this for games like tomb raider for pocket pc, which runs perfectly on the hd, it jeje no option to handle it without ... is what I know and take a long time looking

jam joypad diagonal`s

is there anyway to make the jams d-pad go in diagonals eg for use in snes emulator or c64 emulater, it only goes up down left right.
Not really.
With so many ppc:s now supporting bluetooth I wonder why there is still no compact bluetooth gamepad on the market. Should sell like mad.
I have been using an xda with dos emulator to play prince of persia, I havent worked out how to pick up or use the sword but the diagonal seems to work, push up for up, left for go left, diagonal between up/left make him take long jumps.
I have seen the same problem as hally, tried a few games, and I have been unable to use the diagonals. Some action games are unplayable without diagonals...
If you want to play games - get yourself a gameboy.
8)
I can run a gameby emulator
Seriously -- the Magician is a beautiful gaming machine -- why would you not play games on it?
Well... for one thing it doesn't do diagonals very well.
And even if it did, the layout of the buttons isn't really suitable for action gaming. The worst is probably the button in the middle of the d-pad which you will press by accident almost constantly. And how do you comfortably use both thumbs to control the game?
i play a bunch of games on it -- there are much more than d-pad based action games, right?
I recently played through Monkey Island for instance (using ScummVM) but the games that I most often play are Slay and Conquest.
Ok, I thought we were talking about games where interaction through the d-pad and other hardware buttons is central.
I personally use it for gaming almost daily, mostly card games like solitaire or black jack, and for this type of games it is absolutely brilliant.
This should be possible because when i push diagonal i can feel both buttons clicking. I think that some one needs to create a driver to add diagonal.
has any one seeen the zeta joypad?

PPC Games?

Heh, I find myself bored with my PPC in my pocket, so what are some good games for WM5?
the games i've got installed right now are pocket soduku and another one called warfare inc.
Warfare inc is like command and conquer if you ever played that, its cool, but i tend not to play it much until i get a screen protector because theres a lot of click and drag as well as tapping done.
Is it just me or is the selection for games on the PPC rather sparse? I had so much to choose from when I had my Sony Ericsson K790.
I tried loading some of those games on the PPC with the Midlet manager, they installed but the games wouldn't get any response from my Wizard's buttons, and then the games just freeze.
Unless I make time to encode some movies, I'm gonna be so bored with this phone...
There are many good games for ppc look here

A no of free games on above site too if you search.
And of course you can have doom which plays well - 2 free versions if you google it.
Loads of free suduko games/ scrabble/chess depends what you want.
Enjoy its a good platform
If you like warcraft, there is a open source version. Search for "Wargus/Strategus".
no need to encode video to play on your PDA. orb (orb.com) will let you use your desktop as your own personal broadcast center. If you have a TV tuner card on your PC, you can even stream live TV to your PDA.
The possibilities with this PDA is endless!
There's another rather large thread on this. Please join in and share the fun.

What are some good programs and hacks for my 8525??

Thanks for you help in advance..
good and usefull programs very much depend on if one if a doctor looking for a program to look up illness or a musician wanting to mess with sound or a gamer
with the info you given so far

Well,
this question is hard to answer because of it all depends on your needs and interests. As example me as programmer I try to get lots of development software running on my Hermes, so, that I can go on working without having my desktop or laptop with me. Most of editors I need I program myself with VS2005.
If you want to get an overview of lots of software go to www.handango.com and select as device HTC TYTN (not CINGULAR 8525 - there are more software application listed uner TYTN than under 8525).
In games HANDMARK, ASTRAWARE and HEXACTO are really good.
However,
sorry for being so generalistic but without knowing your interests it is quite difficult!
Google maps is nice and it's free.
Also, I use a profile manager called Pocket Zen Phone (not free but very cheap) so I can switch between house, car, silent etc by just prodding an ICON on the today screen.
There's a nice free golf game downloadable from M$ too.

Click to collapse
Well then...
1. For music and movies, get yourself ORB, you can stream all of the media on your home computer to your cell (or another computer for that matter)
2. For games try morphgear, it emulates NES, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, GBA games on your ppc, you can program the keyboard as a controller...

old pc games on pda

i was wondering, is there a way, through an emulator probably, to play old RPG PC games on the hermes? such as Baldur's Gate?
also, is there a way to play symbian games on a pda?
is there any similar rpg game for pda?point and click style...
thank you
hey there
Yes there is possibility to play old MS DOS games on win mobile. There are several emulators for example - pocket DOS(commercial), DosBox(free), Bochs(free)... Also there some games which have been ported to win mobile like doom, some sierra adventures, flashback, another world... just search the net, if you want we can talk about it more.
I am also interested in meeting people who would like to port freeCNC (opensource command and conquer writen in C++) for pocket PC.
yes, but those games are dos games and the others you mentioned like sierra games, you can play them only through scumv. what about baldurs gate?is there a posibility to play it in a pda?
It is possible to run Baldur's Gate on Pocket....

How to Play Your Favorite Retro Video Games Right on Your Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Mod edit: Links removed
I grew up on SNES. Super Mario, Final Fight, and Contra were just a few of my favorites, and most of my collection is still intact—all I have to do is reach under my bed and pull out all my old games. As proof, I present my original Donkey Kong Country cartridge
Now that I'm older, I don't have as much time to play my SNES as I used to. Hell, I barely have time to play my Xbox. Most of the games I play these days are on my Note 2, but no mobile game can compare to those classics collecting dust in my room.
The solution? A happy medium—I found a way to play my SNES games on my Note 2.
Through a site called, you can download all your favorite SNES games. All you have to do is head over to the site (directly from your Note 2) and click on the download box next to your game of choice.
Note: You will need to make sure your device can install third-party applications. To enable them, go to Settings -> Security -> Unknown Sources.
The game will be saved as an APK file, which can then be installed and opened with no other applications or emulators required. Each game has a built-in joystick and buttons, so you can play it with the same controls you would use on your SNES.
I've played through several games and it works pretty well. All of the functionality is there, but you have to wait until you can save the game to exit, or else all of your hard work will be gone and you'll have to start from scratch.
has hundreds of games to choose from, so head on over and find your old favorites!
