I am now using a official ROM downloaded few months ago @ HTC.COM which is 1.19.
Can somebody advise which ROM should I update to ??
And what's the benefits after I update to new ROMs ??

Hi.
I am currently own a Samsung Omnia and I am planning to flash with custom Win6.5 ROM.
Before I do that I would like to backup my original ROM just in case anything happen I able to revert back as what I had right now.
My questions:
1) Is there any ROM Dump application available to do so for my original ROM backup?
2) Edit: There is NO better ROM. You need to test and read the feedback and decide for yourself
I know my questions are somewhere in the forum but there are thousands of them I hope someone kind enough to help me over here. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for editing my thread.
I am not expert like u which I able to identify which custom rom is stable or good for my phone by reading through thousands of thread over the forum. To me, all look the same and I do not know where to start. I know there is not prefect ROM available for every phone or everyone but I do highlighted as I am using Samsung Omnia and I hope someone using the same phone as me able to advise me that this ROM is much better or that ROM is for HTC and so on.
This is the reason i post this thread as I need help from someone expert like u to guide ppl like me, maybe you can just highlight a keywords that I need to search.
I thought the main reason of this forum to guide newbie for better understand on their phone or applications and has fun with it.
I am sorry if I duplicated this thread with same questions somewhere in the forum.

Hey everyone, i just got a ne HD2 and i was wondering how to flash roms which one is the best, kinda confused on my model type and from what i read that determins what rom you would use. I Now how to flash roms and root the hero but im new to WM. So could someone help me out and one other thing can i flash back to stock rom if needed and if so how and where can i get the rom from

When you have a question, it doesn't matter if you think it's "newbie" or "old-school", either way try to do a search for the terms first before you post a question.
Almost every chef has a "Tutorial" or "How to install" link somewhere in the first three posts of their release threads. Most of those probably point to the same place I pointed to
If you have problems with a specific ROM, try replying to that ROM's thread. You are more likely to get help without lectures there

lol... sorry I did read the post but most of the wording is totally alien for me ... Alot of the acronyms I dont know ... Once again sorry ...
But I can do all the regular stuff like doing a update on software etc, etc... but re-flashing my HD2 is totally something new to me ...

I have an HTC Touch P3452, Can anybody please let me know how to update my windows software in it. Currently my ROM is 2.20.720.2B WWE. My question is is there any updated version for this ROM, if Yes, then how to update it and to which version should I update it.........

Your best bet is to look into the rom section, as all the information you need is in there.
For the updated rom for your current stock rom, you could look at your carriers website to see if they released one.
I'd suggest custom roms - I use onyx on my elves and it runs really well

Just purchased a 128 gb Max 3 with original Chinese rom. Don't know anything about flashing etc, will this phone get OTA updates when they get sent out?
