I have installed 6.5 version 13 few hours back. Until now it is good. I downloaded this as well. In case if 6.5 ver 13 fails to work for me, I will install this version. Version 11 of 6.5 was not good for me.

6.5 doesnt work for me. it is quite unstable. after trying v11 and v13, I have installed this one and more than happy.. this has that "slide to answer" feature of 6.5 and rest stuff is 6.1.. recommended!

First do hard spl. Hard spl is found at the top of Opal ROM development page. After hard spl you can flush any ROM.
WM 6.5 ( all the versions ) is quite unstable for me. after trying WM 6.5 ( all the versions ), I'm happy installing this one...

Hello i have a problem with the rom when i extract it my bitdefender says is a trojan and deletes it
i hope is just a false response from my antivirus
i finally got to try this rom and i must say wow. you really can tell the difference in performance from this and the 6.5. the 6.5 is just slow with the in program menus compared to this one.
i reccommend this rom. even tho ive only had it installed one day, the only downside is i miss the new honey comb programs.

This looks to be a false response. I downloaded and installed but my antiviruses (AVG and antimalwarebytes) didn't detect any virus.

Yes you are right. I tried the version 11 of 6.5. It gave me a lot of troubles. Then I tried v 13 of 6.5. The same problem of slow response and crashes but better than 11. Now I reverted to v 14 of 6.1. This is quiet stable. I am happy with this.

I tried the version 6.5 V_15. overall look is good but it seems that still it has a troubles.The same problem of slow response Now again reverted to this V_14 of 6.1. I think This is quiet stable with good speed compare to all last ROM for daily usages

Errrrr... Sorry. I know it's about a month ago already, but i just flashed my opal using your ROM. And I've found one issue which is "ActiveSync Autorun". AS always starts itself on my device,,, and it's just sooooooooo annoying. Other previous ROMs i used didn't have this problem before. So... Are there any solutions for this?

Launcher apps locked
Congrats on a good ROM. I was looking for a faster ROM which retained most of the original apps. I much prefer Opera, so I'll install that.
But could you help me with how to unlock the top buttons you have installed to the launcher. I would prefer those spaces be allocated to the apps that I use most frequently.
As small bug is that after you have added an application button in the launcher the "All Programs" softkey stops working. I haven't consistently figured out how to solve this, I think it is as simple as running an app of some sort and then going back to it, but it is a bit frustrating.
Again, thanks for sharing your work. I wish there were a few more doing work on the Opal side of things. Wish I could learn how to do some cooking myself.

I have installed this but i see that the in call volume control is not working, when you press volume controls when u r in call the ring or system volume will change, also the in call screen is windows mobile default not htc

Blackspider, if you do the Hard SPL in your viva you can install any rom afterwards. So if you already did, go ahead and install this rom.
What is the difference between this ROM and original Opal ROM?
I am having now 6.5 ROM, I am not happy with that. Frequent crashes.
I want to revert to original ROM, keeping in view that I changed SPL. How can I do that?

I already flushed with this ROM. It looks to be promising. But I will see what will happen when I install all my programs.
Win 6.5 didn't work for me. I was having frequent crashes.

VIGOS!! I installed all my programs. Its very cool. Much better than 6.5. Until now no crashes. Big storage like 6.5 but much stable and fast. I would like to advise all to come back to this version.
I have been using it the last weekend and it is fast (although I am not sure if it is faster than 6.5 v11) and stable, but I believe (and it is only an impression) it consumes more battery than the 6.5 rom (v11) could it be? Have any of you noticed something like it?

My own impression is that it is much better than 6.5 version 11. It is faster than 6.5. I didn't notice any battery drain. I had frequent crashes with 6.5, so I reverted back to this version of 6.1.

- ROM V16 remove Manila2D. Who should use Manila2D can download and install the latest Manila2D (the black) the following:

- Change the XIP and SYS from WM6.5 (Core 21234) new.
Speed V16 with integrated Titanium ensure fairly.
The basic functions of WM, such as Camera, SMS, ... is working.
Up ROM when finished or when you reboot the machine, MortScript will automatically load and display popup, which is normal phenomenon. This is a support application plugin Titanium. Just click OK to exit is all the good will.
Can also removed (in Windows / Startup) shortcut, but when the effects of Titanium (weather + Comm) will not appear beautiful.
Note: HR should be back in the ROM Update for computer work with the new ROM.

I tried the V15 and I didnt like it very much. Very pretty, looks very nice, but too slow and with so many crashes. Comparing to this one, I think this one it's much much better. No crashes. Slow? don't even think about it. Fast and stable. Congratulations for the cook =D

One problem with V15 that I m facing is battery drains too fast... my morning alarrm never wakes me up :-(

this version is more stable than 15 but sometimes the comm manager's widget don't work properly. Yesterday evening i did'nt have a possibility to save a new contact number, today morning however i do!
The rom is quite slow but not bad!

good and excellent one, but i had problem with the keyboard, when i use the phone keypad, its always writes numbers, even when writing an email or msg. pls note that i had installed the arabization package. Pls advise what i should do! another favoure, if i sent u the arabizarion package, can u include it in the firmware itself like the original viva firmware! i tried to do this through the kitchen, but i could not understand how to do it.

I downloaded this ROM yesterday. this things really its got a nice finish along with good amounts of speed. Job Well Done.
Am reporting two problems though (i dont know wat else to call the second one)
1)While text msging "phone keypad" enters only numbers. doesnt take letters.
2)Tried installing manila. It said that it was unable to find manila config file.
Am not going bak to v13. Once u get a feel of smoothness u wouldn't wanna go back.

tosiba keyboard is also included. hold the keyboard-icon in Softbar, then select the Toshiba Keyboard.

on my TG01 with your rom the Toshiba keyboard does not work. ( I have just small keyboard, and when i hold the keyboard icon just one is possible to pick)

Because its a CLEAN ROM meaning how it leaves Microsoft, not after Toshiba release it, so it wont have the keyboard or the stripes interface. If you want to put anything on you'll have to add it using a cab.
Search for the cab for the Toshiba Keyboard on this forum.

Go to bluetoth settings and click Add new device. Once you add device, everything will be fine.

Well I’m using that version a week or so. And added/ removed a lot of programms and everything seems fine and stable with me. I am astonished that It doesn’t work good for you.

Just to clarify - It was only crashing when using some third party software (WAD etc) but I didn't have any of those problems with my 6.5 ROM, so this was just a compatibility issue.
As a standalone ROM I'm sure it's fine.

I still have it as my main phone-pda-gps.
Its a best multifunctional device ever.
No doubt, I dont want any else chippy omnia 2+ stuff or bada's androids..
propaganding google and green robots or blutooth 3 with limited functionality
WM still good replacement for PC in functions, aspecially with qwerty device filled with many usefull hardware!
WP7 is too fresh to buy- so till now i780 still rules.
I hope Il come back with updates for it soon.

PS: If you like old DOS/Windows on i780 games pls visit http://www.scummvm.org/ for emulator. It works prefect on i780 and mouse is operating like on normal pc in games. Games for scummvm you can find everywhere via google.

i780_Flashing_Guide 0.9-untested for VISTA-win7.zip- working for XP.Untested for Vista/win7. Report for improvements.

yeah , the same happened to me , i just flashed with mirage HERE (read carefully) , and after that i flashed to wm 6.5 !!
(note : after using mirage to flash to wm 6.1 , you can flash with the upgrader.exe without any version error !! )

i really recommend you to flash back to wm 6.1 !! and then flash back to wm6.5 , to avoide breakiiing your device !!!!!!!!!!
I'm using Release candidate 2 of wm 6.5 "classic" and until now i think that is realy good. Phone don't freeze, battery drain slowly.
Before this i've tried ironeagle 128dpi wwe 21889, it's good but eat the battery very quickly

Bugs found:
- wifi auto star
to fix this bug go to setting and keep it off mode that'it.
ChangeLog:
- lastest build 21916 of 6.5
- lastest build 23699 of 6.5.3
- manila 2.0 with new skin
- no more softreset (I hope )
- 6.5.3 has good battery life normal use 5 days
- good theme of manila and phone system
How to install:
- flash this ROM
- then wait for some time my rom will auto sett your phone don't touch.
- phone will auto reset.
Utilities:
- Manila Home Weather Updater Meteo in home tab (Thanks to abhishek69)
(first you have to update weather, then you must install this cab and reboot)

i think slow message down and up in manila refers to skin u used
original m2d v2.0 theme will be the best choise ( my opinion )

battery life is good but not great (2 days normal use)
there is no microsoft marketplace shotcut and after installing it does'nt connect to marketplace site.
inernet tab does'nt work

after flash and Booting 6.5 still shows as 6.5.3
the manila download is not a cab, some files only... any help with getting a cab or some other fix...
