1.66 ROM question

Hi all,
i have installed this new rom from htc site (and get a lot of unsolved problems with fpsece but this is another question).
But i don't understand a little thing....in this rom are included all the officials hotfix (sms---calendar---camera) or i must re-install them?
There is not a support manual on this rom so i really don't know.

Look at the update on teh HTC website, click 'download' and read the instalation instructions. If for example it says
Note: This update is only applicable to ROM version is equal to 1.60.XXX.X, or lower.
and yours is 1.66, , , have a guess?? No, it isn't needed.

Hotfixes are pre-applied up to the date of the ROM

Thank's you this i need to know

the latest sms patch is not included, but on the other hand, it cannot be installed either...
(there is however a cabfile somewhere to install it)

does it even need to be, I had the sms issues right up until the latest official ROM and that seemed to fix it completely for me.

Source of latest packages?

Im talking about HD2 roms ...
I've seen new features in the cooked ROMs like "htc messaging client with securebox option" which is NOT included in the latest official hd2 ROM (TMO 2.13)
Im just wondering, where can i get all these latest packages? Im trying to cook my personal ROM and i want to use latest versions, but most of the packages from tmo 2.13 are already outdated, and i can see newer ones in the cooked ROMs.
Can anyone help me with finding them?

You can have all what you want here in XDA......what did you expect more than this?
Mybe what you are searching isnt from Leo,maybe isnt the latest TMOUS release.
If someone has a new package thats mean that you can have it too,just dont be lazy and search.

Sense 2.5

Hi, I want to put my Semse 2.5 of TP2. Can you give me a link to download instructions on how to put it that something I own. Thanks!

Only way to install Sense 2.5 is to flash a ROM which contains it. Its too integrated with the OS to be able to install after the fact.

The website of htc.com in the last ROM that has a Sense wrote it? But I can not download it from there ...

You will only be able to flash the "official" ROM allowed by your carrier. Or the official HTC unbranded ROM if you have the unlocked Euro version.
I saw you relocked the SPL on the other thread. What problem did you have with it?

Just did not want to do a new Hard-SPL. But .. May will have ..

What problem did you have with HardSPL?
As far as I know, there is no reason to ever re-lock SPL, unless you need to return the phone for warranty repair.

If you mention which carrier you use, we would be able to point you to the latest update for it. I think AT&T is the only one to offer an upgrade to Sense 2.5. Everyone else is still on Sense 2.1 (TF3D).

Probably because the new HTC Sense 2.5 ROM suffers from all kind of performance problems? The carriers don't want to make the phone even more slow Only AT&T is stupid enough ;]

Haha, too true! Sense doesn't have to be that slow. They're just too lazy/greedy to make a decent ROM with good compression and without all the bloatware.

Is This the Latest Hotfix for the HD2 Camera?

i found a link that provides a hotfix for the camera of the hd2. its for improving the camera quality. is this hotfix the latest version? if not, then whats the latest version? heres the link:

Check your rom version in settings, that update is from 2009.
All next roms include these fixes. You probably have newer rom which includes it.

hi peter.. i'll check the rom version on my phone when it arrives friom the factory. i had to send it in for repair. i'll let you know when i get it back. thanks.

there isn't a latest android rom for HD2 as officially it's a WM6.5 phone... there are many android roms for HD2 but they are different from each other... check here for android rom threads list...
