Qtec 2020 localization - Menu start problem

I'm working on Qtec 2020 polish localization. I'm using the Multilingual User Inteface technology: I've already made tools to produce MUI files and activate their usage on WinCE 4.2.
Almost everything works fine but when i translate string resources in shell32.exe that apply to
Start Menu -> Programs
Start Menu -> Settings
both element lose their icons and the settings element stops working (i get a blank screen)
I've tried some diferent scenarios i.e.:
- translating only the names Program and Settings
- translating the names and the path \Windows\Start Menu\Settings \Windows\Start Menu\Programs
but it didn't work....
I also doesn't see anything helpful in the device registry...
Thanks in advance for any help or hints

Automatically re-created Start Menu shortcut

I want to remove the shortcut 'Services +.lnk' (pointing on: \Windows\STK_UIPPC.exe ) from my Start Menu.
I can remove it, but each time I do a soft key the shortcut is re-created ! how can I avoid this ? I have really no idea what can re-create this shortcut.

Add "(" and ")" to Phone Keypad "1" when writing a SMS???

Add "(" and ")" to Phone Keypad "1" when writing a SMS???
Is it possible to add the "()" signs to the "1" in the keypad when writing a SMS. Would that would give me the option of making a "" ???
Thanks
Lasse
Edit "On a diamond" with Dutty 2.9 RTM
the smilies are saved in the symbol list on page 12/13...
if you want to write a " , :-( " or stuff like that, just press "symbol" and go to page 12/13

Some questions

Can you answer me ?
Many thanks in advance.
CleanRam : Going in CleanRam Config > Menu > Scheduler, I get the following error : "Schedule Disabled ! Unable to set the Date/Time format. illegal System Date/Time non-standard format ! Error Code : #139 (click 'OK' to exit...).
Start Menu : I've reorganized the start menu with TotalCommander, but now icons are disorganized. I want to organize it by type (to get folders [like settings, office, multimedia...] in first, then shortcuts). How to do that ?

In \Windows\Start Menu\Programs create folders for categorising the shortcuts, then move the shortcuts into those folders. It's a bit of a pain, but I do the same - makes a lot of sense out of the jumbled start menu!
I'm the only one which has bugs with cleanRAM

[Q] Problems with Start Menu

Hi guys,
trying since a few days to optimize my start menu. I´m using erviuskitchen and I have following commands in my initflashfile:
Code:
; Start Menu contents
Directory("\Windows\Startmenü"):-PermDir("Programme")
Directory("\Windows\Startmenü"):-PermDir("Einstellungen")
;***PROJECTDEFAULT_A***
Directory("\Windows\Startmenü\Programme"):-Directory("Multimedia")
Also I have a few programs for a folder called "software" and a few called "telefon". Both of them working finde. Any shortcuts were made in this folders, but on the end a the start menu, I see two empty folder, one is called "Telefon (1)" and the other is called "Software (1)". I wonder why?
Can someone help me?
Also I want to get rid of the entries "Erste Schritte/Welcome" and the "Heute/Today" button.
An last, I wonder why every time I´m flashing, the folder in my start menu are in different positions. Once the software is at the top, once it is in line 3 or so...
I´m using this entry:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start\Software]
"ItemPosition"=dword:00000001
"Rank"=dword:35A4E6A1
"Icon"="\\Windows\\HTC_software.png"
"Group"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start\Multimedia]
"ItemPosition"=dword:00000003
"Rank"=dword:35A4E6A3
"Icon"="\\Windows\\HTC_multimedia.png"

Code:
[QUOTE]Maybe its because you have the entry in both sides... one in the initflashfiles and other one in every app.dat in the applications, check the initflashfiles and delte that lines... the app.dat in your EXT pkgs can do the trick without edit the initflashfiles in OEM/yourlang/[/QUOTE]
Also I want to get rid of the entries "Erste Schritte/Welcome" and the "Heute/Today" button.
Code:
[QUOTE]To get rid of the welcome icon you can disable in sys the welcome center package and... you can not get rid of the today icon[/QUOTE]

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
and on the last question i can be sure the RANK entry is the one you are searching for... delete that line of the regs before you cook, wherever you found it or use decimal numbers... less is at top of the start menu position bigger number is at the bottom of the start menu
